I don't understand how you were lied to by/about customer service.

It sucks that there was some kind of glitch, and that you're out 25,000 but what exactly do you expect the site to do? I'm pretty sure there isn't any way for the staff to manually go back and see who each person picked, and pay them back.

Did you make a topic in Problems & Bugs to let the programmers know that there is a problem?

@Klassikal

They can go back and see what bet you made, and who you made it on.

I made a ticket and the information is being relayed by staff, the issue has already been fixed.

Not being able to help (User Admins aren't programmers, they cannot look into or fix coding) and passing your report on to someone who can look into it = / = saying you don't want to be bothered.

I've made a lot of tickets during my time here and I never had the impression that the UA I was talking to didn't want to be bothered. It's their job and they are taking it seriously.

First off, it's a brand new game, there's bound to be glitches and issues with it. It takes time to work out the kinks. Secondly the max you could bet on that game was 25,000 sP, which if you've been here for years should not be a big lose at all.

Oh dear lord. You're making it sound like you lost a GA medal or something, and it's really about not getting a refund for a nickel. I'm sorry if I sound rude, but I've worked in retail for years, and dealing with customers like you made our life HELL.

Quote:
Apparently after being forced to play this new game, there was some kind of glitch that said the wrong wrestler had won.

Nobody was FORCING you to play. It was part of a plot step, if the game offended you so much, you didn't have to play. That's like saying games are forcing you to do quests to advance the story. OF COURSE they're going to have us do some things to advance the plot. Since this is a world building exercise, of course they're going to have us try out the features of every place.

Quote:
Those of us who bet on said wrong individual got totally screwed over, and told that because we bet on the wrong person nothing really happened. I don't think it is fair to punish users for someone else's mistake, and it is not good practice to abuse users by telling them to deal with it. I can understand that new programming has issues, but if that is the case users should not be forced to partake in such a risk. Speculating on rather or not it will work correctly comes with a price, and this time Subeta has lost a great deal of my respect.

I honestly don't know what you expect them to do. There were probably thousands of people who bet on that match, all with varying sP amounts. Did you really want them to go through and figure out what everybody paid and refund that? What about the people that won? I can think of much better ways for staff to spend their time. Most people put on their grown up panties and realized that, yes, sometime glitches happen on the internet, and such a trivial amount of sP is nothing to get upset about. Sometimes a line of coding can be missed, or a wrong number put in. When the problem was brought to their attention, staff was quick to fix it right away. There's 72 hours to do each world, and it's not uncommon for there to be a few bugs to hammer out. If it really upsets you that much, wait until 24 hours have passed or so. Usually they have everything straightened out by then.

I am fine with losing fairly, but I am absolutely against any business lying about customer service. I have donated to the site on more times than I can count, and I have been a loyal user for years. This has upset me so badly that I will not be giving any more of my hard earned money, nor will I ever play that game again.

UA's here respond quickly. Do not bash the hotel desk clerk for being unable to fix the pool pump. That's maintenance's job. In fact, if the desk clerk went up and started trying to fix it when it wasn't their job and they had no idea what they were doing, they'd get fired. The UA's aren't programmers, and all they can do is transfer the message over to the Programmers to fix. Also, they usually don't refund sP, unless there's a large amount involved, and a catostrophic site error. I don't even know if they can tell how much you bet and on whom, and it's such a minor amount, it'd definitely not something they should have to waste their time digging up records on.

Quote:
In the real world, when a company makes these kinds of mistakes they make amends. They do not tell customers deal with it, because honest customer service is about making the issue right. I have never been treated like this before, and I think that Subeta staff has made a huge mistake by claiming the glitch but not the responsibility behind it.

This is like standing up on a podium and declaring a restaurant shorted you a nickel, and by golly, they need to take responsibility and their customer service is terrible and you're never going to eat there again!

It's a freakin' nickel!

But, I digress. Sorry if this was a little uncharacteristically harsh of me, but, like I said, I've had waaay too many customers screaming at me for extremely petty things.

Since 25k sP obviously means enough to you to get this upset, I sent you 25k in vouchers.

Here I thought I was made and could use a moment to vent, and instead I get berated for having been offended at all. I have worked in customer service my entire career, and I know all about being screamed at. I was never less than polite or patient, I reacted this way due to how I was handled. If there was a glitch then the fair thing would have been to let everyone win, or no one at all. I was upset over the fairness, it was never an issue of the amount I bet. I still believe that testing happens for a reason, and that you shouldn't require people to play a game until the bugs have been worked out.

A public forum based on site feedback might be one of the worst places to vent.

@AnabellasSong - Ah, well then, ingore my comment. Didn't see a MM post that it was moved or anything.

I'm actually curious what happened with this glitch, I haven't heard anything about it and I'd like to think I'm pretty well out-to-date on that sort of thing.

@QwertyJoker

I played it yesterday, picked the right wrestler and today I was able to collect my reward - unless there has been more glitches I'd say it's working now. =o

@QwertyJoker

Apparently the issue was resolved the first day, basically what happened was that I bid on Senor Fuego. The next day I checked to see who won, it said Senor Fuego but apparently that was put up in error and the actual winner was El Tigrean. In essence, the cake was a lie. As usual.

If this was CSC I could see how you could be mad but not 25k sp.I've filed tickets before and the staff is always nice and tries their best to help you.Just because a UA passes your ticket onto someone else doesn't mean they don't care it means it's not their job to help you with that so they redirect you to someone who can help you.It's outrageously easy to earn sp on here so I don't see how 25k sp is enough to say that you don't want to give money to Subeta anymore.The staff is not perfect even if they do test the game before releasing there is still a chance that it could still have some bugs to work out.

@AnabellasSong
So if you bet on Senor Fuego and in reality, it was El Tigrean, doesn't that mean that all was fair since the one you bid on didn't win. Just because it posted the wrong person doesn't mean that you should get money from the glitch. If I go to a horse race and bid on #5 and #2 wins, but they accidently say it was #5, that doesn't mean I should get money, my bid still didn't win.

Honestly, I think you are getting worked up over nothing. And yes, you were encouraged to take part in the bidding as part of the plot but no one forced or required you to do so.
