OKAY.
Yeah.
My ferret Castiel is the biggest trouble maker in the world. He's a typical ferret in the way of raiding all the things and hiding anything he can find. But he is also pro at sniffing out any food you leave anywhere and is a total spazz for candy.
BUT, I left him alone for 5 minutes while I went to grab a drink and come back to him lying next to a half eaten candle and choking. Rushed him to the vet and they were able to fix him up thank god.
But really, a candle Cas? A CANDLE? Ferrets, man. That is the last time I leave him unsupervised for any amount of time.

What are some weird things your pets have done, CC?

Another topic, woop.

Oh my, it's a good thing you're ferret is okay. One of my dogs once ate an entire pound of chocolate, thankfully he's okay. (He is now famous in my family for his iron stomach.)

Yeah, I was pretty worried at first but the vet said he'd be fine and to just keep an eye on him. Little bugger isn't going to be leaving my sight for a while.
Oh man, I would be flipping out if my dog did that! Haha, I'm glad to know he was okay though. Crazy lucky dog. xD

@Luci my cat just has a thing for attacking me every morning while I'm sleeping..EVERY FREAKING MORNING!
If I had the money Id get her checked out for some sort of cat ADD or freaken something but considering she was pretty much just given to me off the street by a friend who couldn't take care of her when she was a baby I has no money for such a thing and wont for a while. I've had a lot of cats but none of them have had as much energy as her or has grown this big this fast. shes huge...
-__- other then that shes a normal fur ball...

My ferret Ella ate the butterflies I was raising last year. She found a way on top of my dresser and knocked the kit down. Poor butterflies never had a chance...

My cat Eva hides in a slightly opened suit case whenever I have company. Mittens the other cat is a little OCD about repeatedly trying to cover his food bowl. Its about ten or fifteen times he scratches at the floor.

My dog used to like to crawl into pillowcases to sleep. He would go inside and crawl UNDER the pillow too, and it would be horrifying because you'd put your head on it NOT REALIZING THERE WAS A DOG IN THERE and then suddenly your pillow would start jumping around under your head and barking at you.

Ahaha also, I second @War. I stared at your title perplexedly for a few seconds. Glad to hear he's okay, though! Ferrets are adorable. Especially ferrets of the lord

Seeing your OP has definitely cemented in my mind the idea that my youngest cat is at least half-ferret. I've found a ton of things that mysteriously went missing over the past year I've had her, all stashed away in a corner of the closet in my home office/study. Which she likes using as a bedroom.

And I don't even want to think of all the money I've spent taking her to the vet in order to remove non-edibles. Pennies and hair-ties seem to be her favorites. She's worse than a toddler! And I don't even know where she's getting the hair-ties from; my hair's too short to tie back now, and I keep my old hair-ties in my room, in a drawer.

Speaking of the little terror... I came home from work one time to see little red paw-prints EVERYWHERE. Seriously, it looked like blood. Nope! Turns out she'd figured out how to open cabinets, somehow got into my makeup, and ran amok.

Your topic reminded me that my "friends" are going to a Supernatural convention and I can't afford to go. Not that they asked me in time to get tickets. boys.

But yeah...ferrets. My friend's former roommate had one that used to roam the house free sometimes and GOD FORBID you not pay attention to him when he wanted you to...your toes or whatever other exposed skin would pay the price. Sweetest little guy ever though...until you ignore him.

Aw, that totally sucks! But I feel your pain. ;_; I want to go to one so bad, but can never afford it.

Ferrets are the most attention demanding pets ever, I swear. My youngest will chew at my feet or hop around making noises at me if I'm not paying attention to him, and Cas will just flop over and stare until I notice him. He will seriously lay there as long as it takes until you look over at him, then he'll sit up on his hind legs and beg until you pick him up. He's pretty chill for a ferret, but Wheatley is just... a spazz of great proportions.

My newest kitten Misha is a little monster. We got him fixed Last Friday and he fought through the pain medication and was back up and playing 6 hours after his surgery. We thought that getting him fixed would calm him down slightly. Nope. All the older cats end up jumping and hiding in high up locations that he can't get to yet.

We had to put a e-cone on him for his stitches (I do not like the cone of shame) and that was pretty hilarious and he tried to leap out of it several times. He calmed down a lot with it on him, but he still would chase the older cats when they got down from there perches. Poor Sebastian never had a chance.

Hmm. If my aunt's cat wants water, he dips his paw into the bowl, and then licks the water off his paw, instead of just drinking straight from the bowl.

Wheatley?! XD One of the "friends" going to the aforementioned convention has a giant fluffy grey cat called Wheatley. He's very cute, but he's...well...dumb as a brick. XD

Aww, that sounds so cute LOL.
Nothing beats a hyperactive kitten.
And cones are hilarious, I've had to put them on my cats a few times before and it's like they forget how to function.

@Kyradriel
Haha oh wow, that's awesome. xD
The dumb as a brick definitely fits my Wheatley, too... Maybe it just comes with the name.
He enjoys throwing himself off my bed and running into walls on a regular basis.

Good thing he's okay! I'd flip if that ever happened to one of my babies xD

My parakeet, Pico, hunts down spiders and such and "plays" with (see: tortures and kills) before eating them. It's rather scary. o.o
He'll toss them around by the legs until they fall off. And then CACKLES. He's not a normal bird.

It really does seem that way. He would just lay around pathetically until I felt bad enough to take the cone off so he could go cause Mischief. -.-

I really wish I would of had a video camera for it though, because I would have loved to watch it over and over.

@Luci

I just have to say, I love that you named your ferret Castiel. That is all.

Edit:

Okay, no, I have stuff to add. I have a couple of /special/ kitties.

Leo loves qtips. Like, LOVES them. He will raid the garbage for them, carry them around, play with them, and then when he's done, he'll drop them in his water dish and walk away. I don't know why he does it, I don't get it at all, but there you go. He's started doing it with toys, too, which is kind of really annoying because they take forever to dry and make the water yucky if he does it while I'm gone to work for the day.

He also pats things convulsively, like he has OCD or something. Its really funny. I should upload a video so you can see what I'm talking about.

My girl kitty, Clary, is also really weird. She talks all the time, but when she gets hyper she starts making these crazy like... alien-kitty sounds, chrips and yelps and loud meows and races around my apartment like a bat out of hell. Its startling but hilarious.

My cats really have issues. xD

@River
Oh my god, your bird... LOL
I totally thought of that cockatoo from the movie Rio.
Little spider killer though, I could use one of those! D8

@Fayth
My cats would just instantly fall over the second it was put on them and gradually scoot around trying to get it off.
It truly is the cone of shame.

@Alewiina
His name may be Castiel but he's more a leviathan in personality with his habit of trying to eat everything.
Actually, the only thing he has not yet tried to eat is a burger. :c

Your cats sound hilarious, oh man.
I'd be so grossed out if my cat kept pulling qtips out of the garbage. xD And I totally want to see this constant patting things.
Clary sounds kinda like my mom's cat. She constantly tries to talk to you and will just sit there meowing and if you say something back, she'll reply. She also gets these random spazz moments where she'll just be lying there, then will leap up and make a ton of weird noises and bolt off.

I wanted to see Rio, just because I'm a huge bird nerd xD I actually have an umbrella cockatoo, her name is Dundee. She's also a bit kooky; she's schizophrenic and very absent-minded because she had a stroke several years ago. But we still love her all the same :'D

If Pico was a human, he'd probably be a Joker-style serial killer.
Some birds just want to watch the world burn. xDD

Rio is such a cute movie. xD Aww, that's so sad that she had a stroke! I'm glad she's okay though. Cockatoos are so pretty.... My mom has always wanted one and I keep looking at the rose-breasted ones down at the pet store, but there's no way I could afford the upkeep of a large bird. :c
I think I would definitely be staying away from Pico. ;_; Birds don't seem to like me too much, even though I love them. I'm always getting bitten or screeched at no matter what I do.

ROFL. This Wheatley is also quite fond of running into walls. He saw a bird on the balcony the other day and ran SMACK into the glass door. Then he just fell back on his bum and started cleaning himself, like I totally meant to do that. XD

LOL, oh my god. xD
This cat and my Wheatley must be long lost relatives or something.
My Wheatley is a bit on the chubby side so whenever he rolls over to bathe himself, he flops on his back and grabs at his belly and pulls it up to him. Cannot be bothered to move or bend in any way. Just flop and pull.

Cockatoos are the best! The umbrellas are so silly and clownish and super sweet, if a bit noisy when they want attention. Dundee loves to cuddle and she'll curl up around your neck xD
Birds are kinda bitey, especially the smaller kinds. Dundee doesn't bite at all but she's too sweet-tempered. Pico is evil. He bites a lot, thankfully he's so tiny it only pinches.

My dog once opened a pizza box, got himself a slice, and closed the box again so nobody knew he did it. I actually thought he'd gotten it out of the trash or something until I realized there was a slice missing from the box. He's done the same thing with a box of chocolates; fortunately I caught him in time to pull it out of his mouth.

Oh and like an hour ago one of our turkeys stood right in front of me and laid an egg. I SAW EVERYTHING. /scarred for life

But I'm glad your ferret is alright!

How do I explain this derp of a cat, he sleeps if you cover him in a quilt.

Also, my rabbit has this thing where he likes me scratching his nose and cheeks. But only in the mornings, any other time he's like GTFO, dogFACE. He's also an annoying when he purposely throws all his food out his bowl so he can reach his favourite food.

@Luci
At one point I had 4 ferrets at once. I could not turn my back for one second with out there being trouble. My one ferret Silver, rip, was an evil genius. She was so smart and used it to get in trouble all the time.
But now I have 2 boys, they are bad. Always chewing of stuff and stealing things. NEVER nap while ferrets are out, did that a few times bad idea. My youngest Chewie stole my glasses and hid them under my bed. And another time they stole a little bag on m&m's out of my book bag and ate most of them. I can't open a bottle of vitamin water without Buster getting in my face and mooching.
That said gosh darn I love ferrets so much.

There's no. Nothing left to see. Once all beauty's destroyed.

I have a deaf ferret named Costello. One of his FAVORITE foods is grapefruit. He also likes mild salsa, caesar salad dressing (has to be Newman's Own), lettuce, and tomatoes. Ferrets are CARNIVORES. That means Costello should not like any of those. What is it with ferrets not liking meat that humans eat?

Ferrets want everything that they aren't supposed to have. Of the 6 ferrets I had/have only one liked meat. She loved chicken and bacon.
Pet stores sell all sorts of sweets for ferrets, but they aren't supposed to eat sweets since they aren't really built to digest them.

My two are such thieves, oh man.
I've had them hide my keys on several occasions , and Castiel has tried to steal my glasses right off my face.
He's a master escape artist and I've woken up with him sleeping on my head a few times before, and the cage is completely locked when I look.
Ferrets are the greatest pets.

@superferretlover
That's so funny!
Castiel tries to eat everything like that, Wheatley not so much.
They won't eat 'human food' but they LOVE chicks and mice. I gave them those a couple times as a treat and they go nuts.
