There's no. Nothing left for me. When all beauty's destroyed.

So I recently I got diagnosed with depression, who isn't depressed these days, and my doctor prescribed me a low dose of Zoloft, only 12mg.
So the first night I took it I got drowsy as all hell so I fell asleep early. I was knocked out for 12 hours.
Second night less drowsy but still knocked me out for 12 hours.
Third night I was drowsy, went to lay down and couldn't fall asleep for 3 hours, I woke up feeling like crap from the lack of sleep.
Now last night I have no idea wtf happened. I was drowsy laid down and tried to go to sleep. I couldn't. I read for a little bit and it made me sleepy so I tried to go to sleep again, no luck.

Then out of no where I'm like wide awake, I sat up and my mind was racing, I was rocking back and forth having weird thoughts and wanting to punch the crap out of my bed and pillow. Then I started brushing my hair forward with my fingers and kept running my fingers through my hair thinking this will calm me down. Then I started pulling on my hair a little and I though what if I just pulled my head off lol? And I kinda threw myself to the side and laid down and closed my eyes. I kept seeing this slow glowing light when I had my eyes closed and I was thinking who or what are you light? What do you want with me?

Then I had to pee. I went to pee and I didn't feel like myself, I felt like a monster or something. I went and laid back down and I don't know if I was half asleep or what but I had my eyes closed and I felt myself poking my nose and every time I poked my nose the light showed up. Out of no where I half sat up and said "What's with these loveing lights?" with out thinking about it and stared at my door for a few minutes thinking about what I said and started to laugh about it. Then I realized wtf is going on and I started to panic and went to my parents room and cried.
My mom told me to drink water to flush it out and calmed me down and helped me back to bed. And I didn't go to sleep for another hour so I feel like total crap.
TL;DR
Zoloft totally made me flip the love out.

Edit:

Also I rarely take medication, I'm not a fan of taking pills so my body/mind isn't used to meds.

Edit:

More edit
Pharmacy said if I'm not having an allergic reaction it's up to my doctor if I should stop taking it or if I don't think I can handle how it makes me feel. Doctor doesn't open until Monday, so I'm gonna stop it until I can talk to my doctor, I don't need another freak out.

Edit:

UPDATE
I heard from my doctor, since I'm still uninsured she recommended that I go to the emergency psychward and commit myself since they can evaluate me better than she can. If I don't hear back from welfare by Thursday if I'm insured or not then I'm going to the psychward. I really don't want to go since I won't be able to take any electronics since they require wires to charge and I'll probably go crazy from boredom and having no one to talk to. God I hate welfare.

Pings because you people will probably want to know how I'm doing.

@Oatmeal
They're closed until Monday, but they do check the messages over the weekend, but I don't have insurance yet nor the money to cover the visit, but she said she'd help if I needed it.

@Oatmeal I had insurance from welfare but they kicked off since I'm 'too old' but now that the doctor signed the paperwork saying I'm temporarily disabled for 12 months+ they should give me insurance.
@KIRSTY
I noticed I've been spaced out more than usual too. I'm totally brain farting while typing lol.

@NineInchNails

That's kind of spooky. Maybe you should contact your pharmacist (since you said your doctor is away) and ask if you should take the medicine again tonight? I'd also try to pay attention to how it's making you feel emotionally. I mean...is it even working, or just making you go batty? I'm weary of medicine as well, so I feel your pain. There might be a different brand/type out there better suited for you.

That's a good idea, hope they didn't close yet. Besides going nuts last night, I noticed I had few moments where I was kind of cheery and a little giggly.

I think a lot of pharmacies are 24/7, like CVS. You could even try calling a pharmacy that's not your own. Good luck!

The only experience I have with Zoloft is from ten years ago (I'm 19 now; they put me on it when I was 9).

I think I recall it loveing with my sleep. I remember I'd go to bed about 10pm, and I'd wake up at 5am no matter what. I didn't have to wake up until 7am, but I'd wake up at 5 and not be able to go back to sleep.

When being medicated for depression, it's usually a hit-and-miss sort of thing. They have to find a good medium that works for you, which can result in some nasty ones, too. Hopefully your doctor tries something else, because you seem to react adversely to Zoloft.

@NineInchNails I'm so sorry you're having such a bad reaction to the Zoloft. I had a similar reaction to Celexa. It wasn't fun. I hope you and your doctor are able to find something that doesn't wreck as much havoc on your body/mind.

Hell has broken lose! Baby :c
I hope all sorts its self out at the doctors. This is effing stupid. I had pills before when I was younger due to other junk but I never had a reaction like that.
I'm not being all, 'IMMA BE A DOCTOR HUR HUR' Junk but. Are you writing this down in a a small notebook and bring it up at your doctor? Like what you experienced with it other than having oddness and junk. So he/she may pin point what it is.
Either way, Feel betters babe :c This sucks the color out of rainbows.

Friend sorry about the depression, I totally know what that is. I took kind of a strong anti-depressive pill, and yes I've felt like crap the first and second week. Sleeping disorders, seeing lights and shadows where they didn't exist, laughing or crying for no reason, well, I've felt like a sick junkie if you want to know, lol.
It's pretty normal you're feeling and passing through that issues because of the pill, but yes it will be better if you go next week to your doctor. I was used to take Paroxetine, my doctor told me to take that, though, I was tooking the wrong pills for me, he should send me to a psychiatrist first to know what was better for me, but Ihad to wait 7 months for that, so I quit on that time.
Get better soon friend, anything I'm here for you hugs

I can't stand Zoloft, it made me freak out a lot and screwed with my sleeping. It also messed up my vision pretty bad but it wasn't permanent. (My eyes cleared up as soon as I stopped the meds)
These days I'm off all meds and doing things holistically. My mother supports me since she's a herbal medicine doctor. Natural all the way~

@NineInchNails Sounds awful. Sorry to hear you had such a terrible reaction to the Zoloft. My experience taking Zoloft in high school also resulted in a very similar reaction that screwed up my sleep cycle and gave me horrible mood swings. After nearly a month of taking it I experienced horrible insomnia that lasted nearly a week and ended up being a very frightening experience. In my case, I ended up switching to a totally different type of antidepressant because of the horrible side-effects. Hope things get better for you.

I stopped taking it until I hear from my doctor. I still can't sleep until after 3am and I keep waking up around 11 and it makes me feel like total crap going to sleep that late. This is why I hate taking meds.

It seems strange to me that the doctor started you off on zoloft right away before trying less...intense medications first. I'm currently on prozac and it has way fewer side effects than anything else I've been on, so you might want to do some research of other SSRIs.

Only 10% of depression drugs are effective after six months. Some like cymbalta have terrible withdrawl. My brother tried to kill himself while taking Zoloft, so I am not a fan of it.
Research anything before you take it. I am getting cataracts from antidepressants and NO ONE told me happy pills make you blind.Most have MAJOR interactions with common over the counter meds. I'm talking cold, allergy pills and laxatives.
Drug companies are evil.
