I was a tomboy as a kid and walked around wearing t-shirts and baggy shorts, but in the years I've been on Subeta, I learned about many categories of clothing I didn't even know existed! If I knew of them, I didn't know how to describe them. I have developed a fascination for dusters and trenchcoats thanks to Subeta, for instance, and spent a lot trying to replicate my Subeta wardrobe because I liked them so much. I almost like shopping now! Whereas my mother used to beg me to dress more fashionably, now she begs me to stop buying new clothes.

Subeta has motivated me to draw more? I guess that counts. I think I've improved a lot since starting subeta.

(And um once I went to the zoo and said "oh the ontras are over there!")

Subeta actually contributed to helping to deal with my depression. Back when I first joined, I lacked self-confidence, I saw no future for myself and I barely even left the house. Subeta helped me in a way that it got me socializing with people again, even if only over the internet. It gave me something (though digital) to work towards and thus encouraged me with my real life goals too in that way. In hindsight, Subeta really actually helped to pull me through a pretty hard time in my life. It wasn't the only thing helping, but it contributed.

When I was at home and unhappy I spoke to someone on here that gave me the advice and the courage to move out.
Now I am so much happier and live in a place I don't have to fear violence.

They don't come on Subeta any more, I wish I could thank them.

Subeta has become one of my main stress-relief methods, I wasn't really active on here until college. Now when I come home and need to do something somewhat mindless and time consuming I can play games, mess around in the wardrobe, and all that other stuff.

Honestly... Subeta just helps me de-stress. A lot. To me it's time where I can just sort of immerse myself in my own little world where I can draw, work on pet profiles, write stupid little stories, and be creative.

I joined over 5 years ago when I was what... around 15? I went through a lot of phases in my teen years with boys, drugs, partying, you name it, but Subeta was always this sort of stable little place I could come to where nobody could judge me for the dumb things I did, spread rumors, or make me feel like I had to impress anyone. I could just come here and chat casually on the forums and have fun. That sounds almost unbearably cheesy but SERIOUSLY I've always just felt really sort of 'safe' and welcome here I guess no matter what goes on in the rest of my life. To me it's just a nice creative outlet.

It's motivated me to buy a Tablet..great deal on a used one at Ebay.. and will learn Digital Art. Haven't had much time since I bought it tho. Will get to it though soon

Subeta is a lot of thing to me.It helps me to calm down when I'm stressed.I also bought a lot of arts and now,my room is filled with a lot of artists c: I also met friends that I adore and we became connected in real life!
(And my english improved a little more,yay!)

Aside from the "spending way too much time on here" aspect, I've learned how to layer clothing the right way (clearly it's not evident in my HA or in my RL wardrobe, but I like to think I learned something about layers) and that If you want to vent about someone without them finding out, subeta is the perfect place.

Not really, but one of my pets is based on a Russian soldier from the Russian Expeditionary Force and because I was driven to make him as accurate as possible, I actually borrowed a book about the REF from the library (actually, I had to get an inter-library loan!) to read more about it. It was a pretty fascinating time in history that not many people know about.

It's influenced me to work on my tablet art and provides as a good outlet when I am stressed with school. There are so many amazing artists on here that produce beautiful artwork and that is a good motivator to get me working.

subeta made me spend more time online XD umm.. subeta helps me be abit less stressed and depressed. also inspired me to make an owl mask half way done.. for some reason I decided I wanted it to have a beak that will open and close.. trying to figure out how to do the bottom jaw part

Subeta teached me all the clothing names in english and some foods!
It still helps me improving my english skills

Subeta is the only cite I've used almost everyday religiously for 3 years and some change.

It's forced me to learn more about digital art- and as hard as it was in the beginning, I really appreciate it now.

I also love the community here. Its a nice change to be ably to honestly say your hopes, fears and whatnot without ridicule.

Together with trashy fanfiction it really improved my English without me even noticing (effortless learning ftw), after Neopets first gave me a kick. My English was, like, really really bad before.

It also first inspired me to come up with stories and characters as well as draw...and compulsive world building is one of my defining characteristics now. Uhh...

It's done a lot for me

. I don't get out of the house much at all because of a health condition, but I've made some wonderful friends here recently and coming here always brightens my day a little bit even when things are really difficult. It also is helping me to be a bit more confident since naturally I'm really shy, and not being able to interact with people much in real life hasn't helped that. I'm really glad I joined this site and get to be a part of this amazing community. As silly as it sounds, there are a lot of scary things I have to cope with all the time, and Subeta is a kind of safe place to me.

I can't believe I actually wrote that for everyone to see o__o; (very embarrassed right now haha).

Not really, honestly. I mean, I'm eternally grateful to have found devoted writing partners that have stuck with me over the years, but other than that, nope. I find it hard to grasp that Subeta could change lives. Seems a bit too... drastic. o_o Who knows, though!
