I defiantly know how Robin feels it so saddens me that he is gone. To be so alone when you have a room full of people is a terrible thing. I yearn for the time when being a friend, family member or neighbor meant some thing. And we cared for one another or even the one without. I will miss your wit, genius and spontaneity. You never had a problem letting the world know what was wrong, we have lost another that was not washed by the machine.

This is very touching. Depression is such a hard thing to go through. Being bipolar (type 2), I have experienced my share of depression. Some days are so dark all you think about is ending the pain. Only someone who has experienced such darkness can understand why people will hurt themselves. You don't think about friends or family you will be leaving behind, you just want the suffering to end. You feel alone.
I was heartbroken about his passing. He reminded me of my father who I lost three years ago next month.

Never before have I cried so much over someone I don't even know. That man made my childhood 500% happier. When he died, so did part of my childhood. Sure, I can go back and watch his movies, but it's like losing a grandfather and watching home movies... it's never the same because you know there will never be any more.

I've never felt the desire to even tear up over celebrity deaths, but if there's one person truly worthy of mourning, it's him. This tribute is lovely, even if it made me sadder.

Thank you, Subeta, for the tribute, but thank you, even more, for adding the note at the bottom. As somebody who has lost loved ones to mental illness, including, but not limited to, suicide, I think it's really important to encourage support, and love, rather than throwing around negative energy, there's enough of that already...so tragic to lose such a kind-hearted, humorous, influental person, and to think that in a way he was dying right in front of our eyes and we had now idea...sorry I'm adding to the sadness, but I needed to get that out...

He was in so many movies that I loved as a kid (and still do, thinking of finding one on netflix to watch as a little memorial to him)...he will be sorely missed all over the world.

I'm crying more than ever after reading this. I've been trying to compose myself since I heard of the news but I just simply cannot. He was my childhood, he made everything better, and knowing he suffered so much whilst continuing to make people laugh and be happy breaks my heart. Your legacy will live forever, Sir Williams. awesome tribute for another one of a kind actor. my problem is this..WHY is everyone jumping the gun and saying suicide(its assumed yes via the news) BUT until the actual cause is released how about we not assume this is, until proven otherwise(you know the old adage of assumptions yes?). based on my research he has had heart surgery a while back and granted he has been fighting depression(again this is only based on his publicist I believe) at the moment though the only genuine fact(even that's probably just assumption) is asphyxiation.

When I read the news, I was so sad, you wouldn't believe. Aside from Harry Potter, his movies were sprinkled into my childhood and I enjoyed his work as I got older. He was a great actor, a great man. And being depressed enough that I contemplated going down this road, I really feel for him. Wonderful tribute! R.I.P.

I was telling my mom that, when I found out, at first, I didn't see the wonderful man. I saw the Genie. Thats what I knew him as first-- the genie who was the best best friend you could have.
While that was my first, it wasn't my favorite. I LOVED Jack. I could watch that movie a million times and still be laughing, and crying. He was a genius, and such a great man... RIP Robin.

I can't remember a time in my life that Robin Williams wasn't either on TV or in the movies making me laugh, cry, sing along or some combination of those. I wiped the tears away so I could drive when I heard the news yesterday and had to do so again when I saw this tribute. I cried for so long after finding this out. He is an amazing person, and he helped me many, many times in my life to come out of my own depressions, though I am sure he helped many in that way, and others. I am heartbroken that he is gone, but I hope he can finally rest. I hope his family and friends are coping well. R.I.P Robin, you will forever be in my heart.

He had such an amazing prowess. Starting at Mork and Mindy to Dead Poets Society, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, all the way up to The Crazy Ones and a few other of his post-production or unfinished projects, just to name a few, his was a life well-spent. Sometimes we just lose our battles, but what he leaves behind will be remembered by all generations now and in the future.
