@Theatre No need to defend here! @capper09 is someone who comments a lot on news posts so I've gotten to interact with them a lot (you are a doll by the way) and it's pretty clear that english isn't their first language so I'm not offended from their comments. Sometimes things get translated weird or humor doesn't cross over.
Like Laurey pointed out, sometimes I (or whoever but usually me) go higher on price on some items to get some of your grubby tokens, because something was originally going to be for actual hard cash but for whatever reason wasn't, or it's just very pretty. It's nice to have a range of things to even things out. I try to do restocks where there are some cheaper stuff and some more high end things. Even for the chaotic stocks I still try to get a nice range going. LOTS OF THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR RESTOCKS.

@Theatre.. if u think is rude u made it to it and that 4 users confirm shows me that here is not much humor.. 😔 so often if TS restock comes users wonder about the price and nobody say the posts are unfriendly... here is a free place and i beg u to stop saying i go agains someone.. so long m' here I never be unfriendly.. I use translator and have to trust he give me the right words.. if it's not, sorry... if subeta no allowed me to speak in my mother language i need the www to talk... if translator say what is wrong with u, I like to say this is really high price, nothing more ... if that's not the same, m sorry for that... I believe Amber or someone on staff has said before that sometimes things are intentionally more expensive than usual to act as a bit of a token sink. I also seem to remember at least a few token shop BGs that were mentioned as like originally intended for the Cash Shop but the set got scrapped or something changed, so it was put in the token Token Shop instead (and given a somewhat high price to reflect that it was originally going to cost money/CSC).
Some of these backdrops are pretty nice quality, so I think the higher prices make sense for some of them.
