Hello, I'm Titania McGee with Channel 5 Action News, your best source for up to date information.

It appears that Skitters has quelled the rebellious zombies harming the Zombie Rights movement. He assures us that it is now safe to travel to Shadowglen regardless of what sort of costume you're wearing.

And just in time, Louis L'amour has concocted a new cure for the 2010 strains of the virus with the help of Dr. Ian Asmodeus. It only takes 10 candy hearts to create.

I'm disappointed this year. I don't spend much time on here normally, but when this second epidemic came out, I decided to check every day to see the updates and try to join in. I feel like there wasn't enough time associated with this event, and that it took too much effort to become infected. I can only get on for a limited amount of time, and I didn't enjoy having to constantly refresh for a zombie attack over and over, day after day. I wanted to become infected before I joined the kissing, so I missed out on that as well. Last year, I went through several zombies, and even stayed one well into the preceding months. To me this event seemed a little too rushed, but the set up and artwork was very good. It just would've been nice to join the festivities, as well.
Looking forward to the next event,
Golden

The books this year from Skitters were great. I loved being able to scoop them up and then be back unzombiefied. Thank you Subeta. I was bummed when kissing ended but I realize that not every one will have certain achievements and I need to suck it in and throw it up... I had a lot of fun!

It's not necessary to enjoy every little thing something provides to continue finding it awesome. Subeta is still highly superior to me, and I'm thankful to be a part of it - partially due to the fact that I and everyone else can state dissatisfaction with something on this website (and for all of the reasons that you have stated above).

Neat. Now, I can get another item for the collection.

I'm staying my zombie self.(and not just for Skitters, but because I wanted to be a zombie) I wasn't on this site last year to be apart of the first zombie infections. Thanks for this fun event.

I don't think people are taking into account that having consecutive drawn out story driven plots every single holiday would not only become tiresome but
,as someone stated on the neocolours forum, would incite even more complaining from the events being too long instead of having a nice short and fun experience every once in awhile. Not every holiday needs to be epic as hell, why can't we just go with the more casual stuff like the zombie infection this year? It was fun, entertaining, gave people chances to get new items and some new/old achievements and we got to watch the progression of all the new strains. I don't see a problem with that.

Anyway, thank you for such a fun and exciting event Keith c: I'm glad the infection was brought back for another year since I didn't get infected last time ^^
Plus I got some sweet swag from skitters lol

Louis L'amour...you have so many secrets.

When he's not being a love-guru or concocting miracle cures, he writes western novels. XD

I really love that Montre...I wish there was a color based on him.

Anyway, I hope the zombies had fun this year. I didn't become one, but I was one last year and that was a lot of fun.

Thank you to Keith and the Subeta team, because this actually was somewhat fun c:

I was on last year, but never got infected ^^;

I think the art on all of the infections were just really good ^w^

Personally, I really wish we could have a chance to change infections (I have the eye one) but nevertheless, it's still awesome to have the chance to be a zombie c:

And to those who complain: Y'all need to just grow up. This /is/ an awesome site, and /one/ event not being the best thing to ever happen isn't gunna ruin all of the site. Again, thanks for the event~!

popducK

lol at the people who are whining about the freakin butterfly disease. IMHO that was the worst infection this year. It made you have light green skin and pretty red eyes, not exactly lookin like a zombie. seems like you all just wanted to have the benefits that being a zombie had (skitters), AND you demand that your HA still look pretty while being a zombie.

I LOVED the eyesore infection. If I wasn't still a 2009 zombie I would have wanted that infection. It was, you know, scary looking. Scary like a zombie should look.
0

Thanks to those involved in making this event!
It was fun to kiss and be a zombie..I can't wait to see whats up for the next event

@all people who are complaing. Jeeze, Keith gave us an event that we weren't even supposed to have. He gave us new items and all sorts of stuff. Even though it was not that long you still got to be a zombie which is what you guys complained about all year since he said it was not coming back. Now that it came back all you guys did was complain. He did not have to give the event to us and he did anyways.
0

Salogna

Thanks for bringing back the event! I can understand why the staffs decide not to allow people to switch diseases. If that happens, I can imagine most people will keep curing themsevles and try refreshing till they finally catch the diseases they want, and eyesore zombies might even go extinct XD However, I'm still disappointed that disease final stages were underwhelming...not saying the arts are bad, they are awesome but they look like half-finished :/

SCIENCE

I joined within a month of the last zombie event and it killed me, KILLED ME, that I'd missed it..but as I'd hoped and dreamed, you pulled off the awesomeness again this year. Can't say if this one was better or not than the last on account of not being there, but I reckon this event is probably the best one I've witnessed during my time on Subeta..very memorable, to say the least.

Oh, words cannot express how relieved I am that I got the Butterfly Effect one. The art was absolutely fantastic on all of the viruses and their stages, but I must say that, in my opinion, BE took the biscuit.
Red eyes?
That's what I'm talking about.
And anyway, Eyesore scared me. ;-;

Anyway; amazing items, viruses, just downright spiffy event. Thanks for making the effort to do all this for us - I won't be ditching my zombieness any time in the foreseeable future..even if I do have a permanent unhealthy green tinge

AcaciaKumori

Although I was here last year and I am slightly disappointed that we cannot change our diseases, I would like to thank the staff for bringing the infection back. I was sort of expecting it, but when the whole survivor statue and stuff came out, I doubted. Then you surprised us all by bringing it back! So thank you for letting me be a zombie again.

I won't be taking the cure though. As much as I'd really like a different disease, I'd rather be a zombie than not at all.
0

Since I wasn't here last year, I want to thank the Subeta staff for bringing the zombie event back! I will be honest and say I wish I had the butterfly disease, but other than that thanks again for this event ^w^

Last year, I was very skittish about becoming a zombie, and as a result, I missed out. Needless to say, I was incredibly happy when I discovered that you were bringing the zombie event back! The whole thing was well thought-out and well-executed, and even the people who didn't manage to get infected can still wear a little zombie pride. (Wearing some of the MANY items you all released for this event!)

I don't know about other people, but I for one and very happy with this year's event! Thank you Keith and all staff, for all your hard work!

Good oppourtunity to be a zombeh if you weren't on last year! Very happy, and I like my freckle fever. DOesn't seem as chaotic of an event as last year, but I'm fine with that. I really don't need more stress, do I?
THe answer is no, fyi ^^

ahhh zombies. im definitely making a cure T.T

Hmmm I guess I will stay a Zombie for a while.
I create a cure potion just in case though.

Thanks for the Event Subeta Staff, even if people said, it would have been a disappointing event in comparison to the last, then I still have to say...

There were people who weren't even members when last year's pandemic happened. People like me. And I am very thankful it happened again this year.

I don't to be frank even get why people are complaining? This event was amazingly fun!
YOU try and program/draw something like this and then complain (That is to say if you don't have programming skills and artistic talent.. Cause then my comment is meaningless..) Sheesh. Rock on Keith (and the rest of the subeta crew)!

I must say, I'm quite surprised that this cure seems to be working perfectly first time round.... Is this the end of the charade? Really? Aw. :C

I'm thinking I'll get the cure made and keep it until I want to use it. I want this virus to progress to the end!

It's so sad that people these days can't appreciate beautiful art and free entertainment as it is given. I don't think I'd be able to take all of this ungrateful scrutiny if I was on the staff. =S Thank you, Subeta, for the flowers, the zombie items and the new diseases. And thanks for your patience. It seems a lot of that is required around here. lol

Most of you,be glad that you did have a zombie disease, rather than complaining you didn't get the one you wanted.I've refreshed every day like crazy, and didn't even get infected. It was a wonderfull event, nice zombie art, nice items at skitters(which I really wanted),etc etc etc.Great job,Keith and staff ^^
0

Chrissacide

I'm still debating on whether or not to cure myself. If I had the butterfly disease (which, by the way, is probably the best example of art on subeta I've EVER seen), I would remain a zombie for the rest of my life (yes, including when I'm an old-timer using my butterflies like seeing-eye demons). But since I'm neutral with the disease I got saddled with, I may or may not cure. It's kind of interesting looking like a burn victim, but it has some pretty nasty memories attached to it, so... hm.

All the diseases this year were really nifty. I'm just glad I didn't get eye sore. =P I have enough eye problems WITHOUT being a zombie.

Oi, I have an idea of how to fix this! Cash Shop Cure! "Vial of Butterfly Goo" or something. Drink it and catch the Butterfly Effect. I'd buy it. xD Or Token Shop, if that's a little easier. Extract O'Zombie, in three fantastic new flavors! "Vial of Butterfly Goo," "Bottle of Eye Pus," and "Flask of Freckle Fever" or something. Hehe. I'd be both amused and amazed if that was possible.

Oh and liek wow...

O___O

Unless Keith or an artist strolls in here and says "Yeah you jack-asses, we just randomly tossed this shit together." I think a lot of little ingrates need to STFU.

The art for the diseases alone was amazing, not to mention a whole new shop full of zombie goods, a costume trunk, the survival memorial and all of the flowers.

NONE of that points to or intimates half assedry. It just blows my mind that people are busy saying the staff only did this to shut people up. If you don't work for Subeta then you don't know, but it's ridonkulous to say that the creative department didn't put 110% into this.

Thank you staff, Keith, coders, artists etc... This was a wonderful way to re-imagine the frenzy of last year and I know a lot of people really truly enjoyed every second of it!

Be happy the staff even DID this for you.
They didn't have to you know.
And you know what, you probably all would have been bitching and complaining about NOT getting to be zombies.

On the side note, thank you staff for the awesome oppertunity to be a zombies TWICE and still live to talk about it
0

Even though I was hoping the pandemic of last year would stay totally unique, I feel this year's event helped keep it that way. It was fun, I like the new stages and was pleased to see the survival statue.

Frankly, I think Titiana is evil. I think bad things happen BECAUSE she shows up, not that she shows up because of bad things... XD

Like many others have stated, I'm definitely sad that we couldn't switch our disease. I would have absolutely loved the chance to keep that butterfly virus all year. I find it interesting that most of the people who were satisfied with this year's event, were also people who were happy with the virus they caught.

Other than that, I did still enjoy the event, however simple.

Wow, I never expected so many remarks from both sides of the whine-scold spectrum. Calling names to the event or people is not going to be useful at all. Okay, I'm posting again. Yes, my comment was snarky. Rude. Blunt. That's the way I am. I'm gonna reiterate so i'll hopefully stop getting so much flak over a stupid comment. I stick by my opinion that there wasn't as much effort put into this event as the last one, I was disappointed by the lack of being able to change viruses and by the way some of the viruses looked in the end. that's my OPINION.

But is it really necessary to attack me using profile comments and talk about how "Unbelievably Rude" I am and how I should "get the fuck over myself" and get banned even make a fucking board about it just because of a few comments? Come on now guys.

Not one person here can take claim to have never complained in your life. You are not a moderator, so you have no place in giving anyone a slap on the wrist. That's the bottom line of it. I continue to stand by my comment, and if you have a personal problem with it? Fine. We're all entitled to our own opinions, after all (and not once did I say I never had fun with this event).

I agree with @cocoa
You can't have it both ways, saying you didn't want it to come back then saying you wanted it to last longer.

I didn't get the chance to take part in last years Zombiefest so I'm grateful they decided to give it another round so I got chance to take part.
I think it was great twist telling us so much it wasn't coming back then doing it.

Blah, people are so rude. You can comment, but don't call it half-assed. Hell, would you prefer it hadn't had a chance to be infected at all? By the looks of it you guys are keeping your infections. If it's so half-assed then get rid of them. There's no need to be ungrateful. It may have not been their best, but really, give them some credit. They might be busy? Who knows. They already do so much for us, just be happy you got infected at all.

You guys gotta make up your fucking minds. XD

Yes, exactly!

Look, what I said was quite snarky, yes. But this event has just gotten more and more disappointing for me. First the disease final stages were underwhelming, then they tacked on the candy heart collecting... and now they release the cure at the same time of making it impossible to catch other diseases. It's just frustrating is all, especially since it seems like it could have been an amazing event. Just a bit... rushed, you know? (Though the artists did a great job at the details with the viruses).

I still love Subeta, though. I love Subeta and Keith and the staff - they put up with a lot of bitching from me and plenty of other people. I just tend to get too caught up in giving my opinion.

@People Complaining about the event

GTFOYS, [No i wont expand that just do it] OKay yes the event was PROBABLY thrown together to appease the masses, but need i remind you that some of your were those masses needing to be appeased in the first place.

and do you think that any off you at all could say THANK YOU for once in your life?? I mean really the staff have put alot of effort into alot of areas in the site, and so they do a slap together once, because MAYBE their MAYBE working on and awesome event anyways and MAYBE they weren't expecting to have to do this event because MAYBE it was said that this event wasn't happening

and did you think that maybe the viruses we got this year, weren't for this year, and because the winney bitchiness happened,, we got next years viruses?? did we think of this at all??

and did anyone of you winney people thank the artists for their work or Keith for putting this event together for appeasing said winny masses??

I refer to my original comment one last time.

2009 Zombieness = Awesomeness - Masquerade = Not so Awesomeness
2010 Zombieness = Not so Awesomeness - Masquerade = Awesomeness??

Just a thought

I enjoyed the event. Had fun with it, so thank you.

I think it was a blast.

Thanks Keith.

Why do people complain so much? This site has NO ads, it's owned by a person and not a corporation, the owner and the staff answer our questions personally, play along with us, and do what they can to make us happy. What else do you complainers want? Blood?

Delete this subeta account and go to the corporate owned site where the rules are stupid, snot nosed kids cause trouble, nobody answers you or gets involved personally, and there's ads and pop-ups all over the place if you like that better.
0

BishaMarie

this event wasn't even supposed to happen in the first place so stop complaining :/ people should be happy that this even happened
0

Amon

Too bad we didn't have a day or so to maybe switch decease. =/
0

Corvid

Yaaaay! I am happy to get rid of the eye sore! I probably would have kept mine if I had gotten one of the other viruses, though. Now, just to do some last minute buys at the zombie den!
0

Salacassera

Yay for Louis L'Amour!

I enjoyed this year's event. While I didn't become a zombie, I loved the suspense as everyone waited to see what each new stage would look like. And I always love events that shed more light on the world here.

oGgIe-BoOgIe

I love this event ..hope we can do it next year

YAY! I dont have Gingervitis anymore!! I wish I had gotten the Butterfly Effect. I loved that one.
0

Eeyore

Thank you, though I'll stay a zombie for a while <3
0

Kyle

Ahhhhhh how nice it feels to be alive again c:. I would have kept my virus if I had BE, 'cause I could rock that look, but eyesore? Haha fat chance
0

Doe

Aw, I wanted to change mine.
Oh, well, thanks for the chance to be a zombie again. c:
I'll wait a little while before changing back, though. I want to buy some Skitter items.
0

Lexx

Even though I am sad that there is no disease switching, I still loved this event, and I will just have to get used to my eyesore... or hope for more items like the petri dish to be released... ^^ I had a lot of fun, and enjoyed this all!
0

Ajmin

People, stop complaining!
Seriously, I think it was pretty fun this year!

This was better than nothing at all!
0

Muerte

The event happened to make people stop complaining that it was not happening... So why complain that it did not go as you wanted it if it originally was not going to happen ?
Makes sense. Really.
0

Kazefiend

@ people who totally don't grasp why people are upset.

It wasn't the awe of a new event that made last year's event amazing.

Last year's event had good zombies, like come one people with Freckles are technically still alive and as pretty as BE is it's not that zombie-ish
We could change infections and bite the shit out of each other.
The effort into making news stories and those collectible papers it felt like a pandemic.

This event was just "Hai guise I herd u liek zombies" they could have gone so far with a zombie uprising, this just is Love Zombie 2 electric boogaloo.
It fell short of what it could have been and ended with such a deus ex machina excuse it's sad.

Do I hate subeta? No. Am I disappointed? Yes.

Do you hate your parent and run away when something doesn't go well at home? No. So the logic to cancel my account because I am upset is moronic.
0

CloudedMoon

I suppose I'll be curing myself, I'm a bit dissapointed though, as if I had any virus other than eyesore, I'd be keeping it - the others look epic.
0

Muerte

I am sure you could have done better.

Whoever said I disliked Subeta? This site is wonderful. But everything has it's flaws, and this event just so happened to be one of them. This was put together to shut people up, and very little heart seemed to go into it.

Nobody is saying they hate Subeta in full. They're saying the event was half assed. There's a difference.

This. This is the exact way I feel right now. xD
0

Persys

Great event, Keith. I think it's a little ridiculous that people here seem to have been expecting some sort of huge to-do over this event and are calling it 'half-assed' and 'too short' and things like that.

@EvilDUCK
The staff said again and again last year that the Zombie Outbreak wouldn't be coming back, and now that it has come back and we've got three beautiful new zombie strains, a crapload of achievements for kisses and candy hearts, a new costume trunk, and a ton of new wearables, people are complaining? Seriously?

I'd much rather the staff focus on all the other events coming up soon. After all, we still have, at the very least, a restock war and a book drive on the horizon, plus all of the holidays coming up. This outbreak might not have been omg huge, but it was certainly large enough for a Valentine's Day event.
0

oGgIe-BoOgIe

I think ...I might stay a zombie for at least a little while longer
0

Snot

Thanks for the event, and for letting peoples' diseases finish progressing. Especially when people are being ungrateful jerks.
0

Lavabeast

THIS EVEN TOTALLY SUCKED. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A COMPLETE SURPRISE LIKE LAST YEAR- OH WAIT, THAT MAKES NO SENSE.
0

Kyle

Personally I would prefer an AWESOME Masquerade, never was one for Zombies XD
0

jojoleopard

If I were to crush candy hearts,Would it make a potion,or automatically cure me?
0

Muerte

Really, people, if you dislike it so much there is a button to cancel your account.
0

heart_card

it would be cool, if those who chose not use the cure could bite others and infect them that way. So if another user wants the BE virus and they've been cure of the ES, then a BE zombie could give them a nomnomnom! and then everyone could be happy! ^^
0

Autumn_Secret

lol love the re-wording of Zombie 4 EVA achievement.

And for those complaining about the lack of awesomeness about this years Zombieness... think about this

Last year Zombie awesomeness, Masquerade not so awesomeness
This year Zombie not so awesomeness, Masquerade AWESOMENESS???

Meh just a thought... I personaly couldnt care less, im just glad im a zombie again

So not curing tho xD
0

Muerte

Wow, off, really ?

Deeply saddened and if this same event continues it will just get worse.

This. I mean come on mods, you can do a little bit better. This just oozes half-assery.

Keith, you said next holiday... I get to be a steampunk zombie faun, and your being all mysterious... What are you going to do to us this time? Will we become robots or something?
Anyways I had fun this year. It was a short lived holiday, but a good one. I personally like this strain of the virus best of the ones this year, so I'm happy.

I don't need no infection of skitters to be a zombie |0

Ohshi, I'm slow. I like the look of the new cure. Must... collect a few. I'll take the cure after the whole zombie event is over. I still got things from skitters, I need.
0

Silhouette

@rilora

Did you click on Ian's link? I'm pretty sure Louis L'amour says you can combine 10 candy hearts for one of the new cures.

And on the other hand. The new cure looks delicious. :c Yessss.
0

Bison

My brother's gonna be so sad. He wanted to get Freckle Fever. 3:
0

Jayda

You go to Louis, not Ian.
0

Keith

Click on the Louis link, not the Ian link.
0

"You can only combine up to 3 items" :S
and how i can create cure then ? :S
0

Silhouette

NEXT HOLIDAY? NEXT HOLIDAY? WHATWHATWHAT, I'M ALL EARS. 8D

But still, loved this holiday haha! I'm not going to be retarded again and get rid of my zombiness, so I think I'll just collect those cures for the sake of it. <3
0

blaGue

I guess that means we can't try for a different infection D8
0

THRACE

no Zombie 4 EVA achievement?
0

PoeticEnigma

Oh wait I guess it isn't. Mine was last years cure for a few minutes anyway XD
0

Your viruses will keep progressing.

This wasn't meant to be a huge plot. Next year will probably be much bigger in terms of this holiday .

Our next holiday however...
0

Kyle

Oh thank Shinwa, a cure XD
0

Kyle

Oh thank Shinwa, a cure XD
0

Yay for cures. I'll make it, but I'm not taking it until I'm through buying tons of Skitters items.

0

Selene_130

I really hope there's more to this plot.
0

Emo

YAY, cure!
0

kioneFei

Will our viruses keep progressing? I'm a late infectee. So close to the final stage!
0

feather_810

So does that mean you can't catch the 2010 viruses anymore or that you can buy from Skitters?
0

Muerte

Aw, my friend was just trying to become a zombie !
0

Oh, man.
:c
I wanted to get the eyesore.
