It's a lot cuter than the old one, but I agree those flippers are a little odd. And there's something I don't like about the pose. I guess it's those flippers.

I'm gunna agree with everyone about the wings. If the wings were sturdier, the new art would be perfect. The art quality is good, the colors are good, every thing is lovely regarding everything else but the wings!

The new art is very pretty, but I like the old pose too much to vote for it. The new art just doesn't seem right, and I have the same problem with the wings especially that so many other people mentioned.
voted for the old one because of the wings, I've always thought that it doesn't mater how you shade/color it if you can't get the outline to look good xP just my opinion.
This revamp is super cute! C: My only concern is that the bend of it's wings make them look rather floppy and weak. I think making them straighter like the original would really give them that strong swimming wing power that penguins have!
I really was waiting for the cybill to be revamped for a while since it looked so out of place. I love the new one, it's a big improvement, though like what many have mentioned the flippers look strange and the old pose made the Cybill look very jolly than the revamp looks timid. I also feel that its beak should be a little broader to fit with the recent cybill colours.
The old cybill looked like it was up to something, a silly, prank pet.
The new one just looks happy and misses that silly thing.

I think the updated version is muuuuch cuter and I actually prefer the shyer look to the previous sillier one. I would actually really like to see a version with his flippers down, I've never really liked the cybill's because they looked kind of ridiculous to me with the arms up. :) I'm looking forward to the re-vamp of the revamp, there are a lot of things the people on here have suggested that I could see would be an even better improvement.
I really wouldn't like him if he had shorter fins. And how some other people said. It's a Cybill not a penguin. I can't wait for it to be updated. I have already changed my pet's species. xD

I like it, but I how Chou drew it, is exactly how I think it should look in my head too, not 'changed' as such, just filled out a bit more!:P It kind of looks like he's been on a crash diet with no work out lol

i definitely support the new art style over the old one. something i hope is better incorporated into a final design, though, is the old cybill's seemingly upbeat, carefree, confident attitude. the new one loses a lot of its spunk, and it seems quite shy/bare as a result -- i hope the artist can find a way to return its personality. also, i'm not a huge fan of the curved arm/flipper/whatever haha. definitely would love to see something that doesn't look as gumby. finally, i adore the old cybill's glassy eyes. it looks like an attempt was made to re-create that in the new version, but would it be possible to go one step further? i'm not suggesting overwhelming lucidity, but maybe just making the outline a teensy bit lighter...? :)

Like others have said, something about the flippers look off. Maybe they're a bit long. Overall it's a fantastic revamp

I am in LOVE with it, minus one thing: I agree that the flippers are a tad long / odd-looking.. I think they just need to be shorter. Aside, I think the new Cybill is SUPER SUPER SUPER cute!
I'm not going to read through a 171 comments or I'll be here all day lol! the only thing I'd suggest changing is the tail. I'd make it straighter rather than so flipped up. Other than that, it's adorable and I would so consider getting one! :D
I feel the bill needs to be a bit more pointed, the feet more penguin like, and the flippers less awkward. They seem to be too long and in a weird position. And maybe make the head fluff more feathery.
On the plus side, the shading is great. The body looks very nice, and I just love that little tail.

I do like the new one but there is just something off with its wings/flippers to me. Separately, they look fine on him. There's something about the combination of seeing both of them together that makes them looks rubber like and unnatural. His chest fluff I think needs to be pointed a little more down to the center. It could just be the way I'm seeing it, but I can't quite tell if his back on his left side is connecting properly. It looks a little too far out and might need to be brought in a little.
I voted old. Not like the new one is horrible. It's nice. But some things look odd. Like the wings/arms. It just looks a little funny... But the coloring and shading is very good, a lot better than the old. I just don't like the pose. I think a few things should be changed (basically just what everyone else said looks odd).

The colouring/shading is nicer on the new one, but it has too many issues so I voted for old.

The only thing that improved is the coloring/shading.
It looks like the beak should be turned more to the center.

Overall, the new one is tons better. I would make the flippers less floppy and more stiff, but that's about all.

The revamp is cute, but over all it's quite awkward. The tail really bothers me the most because it looks like it would be a lizards tail and not a penguins.
I appreciate that you guys still use polls for revamps. That being said, the new one is phenomenally better than the old.
Yosh! But please, please change the artwork everywhere (including games) for all these little cuties. It makes me cringe to find all artworks all over the page.

The lack of claws bothers me a bit, since they're penguins and all; it also seems really cartoony for Subeta's newer, more realistic style. Just a bit of definition would be nice, I think!

I think it'd be nice if the chest fluff was toned down a lot, because it's sort of distracting to me (since real penguins -- and most birds in general -- don't have nearly such a prominent chest fluff)... and it seems like massive chest fluffs are a little overused on Subeta in general... ^^;;; Same goes for hair fluffs, which I think should also be toned down juuust a little. Baby penguins are super fuzzy, but in general penguins have a much more sleek appearance, and the cybill is an odd mixture of both right now. It's kind of disconcerting and a bit unnatural. xD;

The flippers, like its probably been said a million times now, are a bit funny looking. Maybe make them stiffer, like the old one's flippers, and the hair... It looks a bit funny in the back. I dunno, but it looks weird to me. Other than that, its much better than the old one. I was hoping for what seemed like forever for it to get revamped. I maybe don't have one, but my best friend does, and I love her Cybill.

Ill also agree with someone else who said that the "hair" doesnt really fit to me, (neither does the chest fluff) if it looked more like feathers I think I would like it more.
I actually prefer the old one for a few reasons, mainly because it looks more like..a penguin! My main issue with the revamp is the body and the flippers. Penguin flippers are actually QUITE STIFF, the new ones look like boneless flapping wads of fat and skin haha.
I think its a step in the right direction, but still needs work. Pretty much things already mentioned. I'll def be voting for the revamp though.

Oh! Another thing I noticed last second here. The ruffled feathers around the feet? They're all blue! I really like it and think it fits a lot better. :D

The line of the back extending to meet the tail widens its body unnaturally, and with the line of its thigh fading before it meets that back line and the tail turned to our left, it gives me the impression that its booty juts out a bit too far behind it.

I feel that the poor cybill definitely needs an art update, however I do like the old pose better. The old ones look a tad bit pudgier too, which I like. But at the same time, the revamp isn't horrible in any way, and I'd be fine with it if that's what we went with.
the neck fluff could be toned down but that's more my personal taste. the art is good, but the pose is a little awkward and I don't like its wings. the left one (our left) looks really awkward bending in like that when the right one is outstretched. it might look better if they were both outstretched, like the old art. simply put, the position it has now makes it look like it was caught in the middle of an awkward dance, or if it moved accidentally during a photograph.
I like the pose and personality of the old one more, but the revamp definitely is an overall improvement. The curve of the left flipper is bugging me though. IMHO it looks too soft and flexible.
I don't really know which to vote for, but I'm gonna go with the old art for now. It kinda has more character to it. =(

It's a sure sign of the impending Apocalypse... I actually voted for a re-vamp! XD However, as others have said, the flippers do strike me as being a bit odd as well... We used to have brokeback Feli, now it sort of seems we have brokearm Cybill! XD Also, my chief issue is that I vastly preferred the white feathery ruff above the feet on the old one versus the blue; it seemed more realistic. The face is ADORABLE though! :)

I agree with others that the wings on the new one are off. I'm obviously in the minority though and since I don't own one and never will it doesn't really make much difference for me. C:

I like the art on the new one a lot more, it's cleaner and more detailed. But I prefer the pose of the old one, it has more character, it looks like it's strutting without a care (especially with that smirk on its face and that hair flip), and that's what I think of when I think of cybills. The new one is cuter I admit, but also looks more docile.
Something about the wings on the new one is throwing me off; almost like they've been brought too much forward on the torso. But overall I think it's a VAST improvement on the original.
I really like the new one, but I'm a little torn on what to think about the flippers. On one hand, it's an imaginary pet, so its flippers can be arm-esque if you want them to be, but they do look a little Don Bluth The Pebble and the Penguinish (it might be just me, but I can't figure out how the skeleton would have to be to achieve that position).
I'm thinking it's possible they'd look more normal if they laid flat like a real penguin's, but if you guys don't make any more changes to it, I don't mind it so much that I'd be devastated or anything.

I like the new one better, but IMO, it still isn't as polished as some of the other pets.
I really like this (way overdue) revamp, but I agree on the issue about the wings.
I suppose they are mainly bent to give the composition some balance, or just to fit them into the image frame properly, but they still look odd. At first I thought it was mainly due to where the white area runs along (it makes the right wing look slightly thicker than the left), but I suppose there is also something wrong in the anatomy of the left wing - it looks like it's bent backwards.
The old pose does look a bit more vital than the new one, too, but overal I like the new one better, especially if the wings could be straigtened out.

I voted for the old one. The new one may be "better" in terms of art quality, but the old one has more character. Plus, the bent flippers on the new one looks odd, as people have stated already.

i NEVER liked the old one,the old one's pose is OK but still pretty stiff with no emotion really,now the new one,i LOVE it,it's art is just WAY the pose seems to have more character also,the new one's expression looks more happy as opposed to the old one's....derpy expression.
I like the new one, but I agree with whoever said the flippers look a bit odd. I know it is a cybill and not a penguin but penguin flippers are rigid and don't bend like that. I think the pet would look a bit more natural with straighter flippers.

Wow this one's hard! I'm usually for revamps, but this one. . . .I'm having a hard time choosing.

ohhhh i love this so much. the face is adorable, i much much prefer the newer shades of blue, and i love how happy and smiley it is in general. also i love the wings, adorable :heart:
I think the new Cybill's eyes could be a touch happier, and it needs the cream tufts at its feet. The blue don't work. The wings look a little off, but other than that, it's heaps better than the old one.
I really like the revamp compared to the old version. I do agree with everyone else about how spiky the feathers look. The feet could do with a bit of touch ups, more webbing and not so thick.
I agree with Kiraensdn - it would be really nice to have multiple options, rather than old vs. new, even with slight variations as the options.

I would say new one in an instant IF and only IF the wings weren't so... floppy... Like, if they were shorter. Other than that, I love it!
I like it. Hopefully the darker colors look interesting! I might have to make one of these if they do!
Looks decent, but if the revamp fucks up the colors on my Twilight Cybill then I am going to be really pissed off.
All in all a very pretty revamp. One thing bothers me though: the feet fluff. It seems to me right now that it's more spiky than fluffy.

Love the eyes on the new one! Looks so much more alive. I think if could use being a bit more fluffy, and I will miss the foot in the air little dance-step looking pose of the old one, but overall great new look!

Although the revamp has more detailed art, I don't like the generic round eyes - I prefer the angled ones on the original. The feet would be less stubby and more like a real water bird's, and the tail would be less thin and more of a thick stub. Something about the wing anatomy bugs me - the wings look the same but the Cybill is tilted at an angle so it looks like the wings are attached the wrong way.
I might actually get a Cybill if it looked like the potential new version! The current art is just so unappealing.

I think the stomach/chest need to puff out a bit more to give it a squishy belly like the old one. I think the flippers could maybe do with a few tufts of fluff? Right now the thing that strikes me about them if if you drew suckers of the cream bit they'd look like stubby tentacles.

The left is more realistic, and more identifiably cute. While the right, the former, is exaggeratedly cute with it's cartoonish appearance.

I really like the new art. The only thing is that the old one has this mischievous, cat who ate the canary look that doesn't show in the new one.
You know what this reminds me of? A video game idle animation, I just picture this Cybill just sitting there swinging its flippers back and forth like the cutie it is. I love the newer one.

Lol I'm in the very small minority. The new one is nice but something about it bugs me. I think it might be the wings but I can't quite put my finger on it.
The new one looks a lot better overall, but the old one has a much livelier pose. I like how it has more movement. But the newer one is adorable too.

I like it...but the wings look funny to me. Out of proportion or something. Way cuter otherwise!
Just wish was an option when a revamp is done that we could keep the old version if we wanted to,and not be forced to use the revamp
