Cash Shop Loyalty Card

The Cash Shop Loyalty Card is the latest feature to reward users for their continued support. For every 1000 credits you purchase through Paypal, PBC/UGC, or Stripe, you'll receive a shiny new stamp on it. There are five very special stamps you can earn as you make your way through the card, each with a reward item! There's even another that will earn you an elusive forum title.

Baby Griffin Talisman
Kitty Print Leggings
Fancy Pug Plushie
Stamp My Card!

Loyalty Coffee Tufts
Flowered Coffee Tuft

Your purchases towards each stamp don't have to be made all at once! As your ongoing total reaches a level, you'll receive your next stamp. There will be new cards released from time to time - complete with new stamps and prizes!

The Loyalty Card considers all CSC purchases from Thursday, 17 July, onward as qualifying purchases.

Bovytaur Bobblehead
Butterface Bobblehead
Nico Bobblehead
Rumi Bobblehead
Jade Bobblehead

In the spirit of moving forward with the Loyalty Cards, Bobblehead Collections will retire in one week. Cash Shop purchases made after Sunday, 27 July, will no longer come with a complimentary bobblehead. We hope you’ve had a chance to collect them all!

The Cash Shop Loyalty Card is a brilliant idea! Kudos Keith to you and your hardworking and under appreciated staff. Maybe one day those that complain will understand what it takes to run a terrific site that keeps on growing just to maintain and stay one step ahead of the curve.

Is there any chance that we will be able to get the very rare bobbleheads at some point? It seems sad that so many people want them but cant get them.
0

usagi

What are people complaining about? How are bobbleheads better than this new system? Unless you spent your sp to buy csc to buy stuff directly from the cash shop solely for the purpose of getting a RANDOM (and in almost all cases, very cheap) bobblehead, you're not going to missing anything major (just wait for the items you want to deflate, it's not that hard guys). The site has absolutely NO REASON to give you extra items for spending your sp on csc. Why? Because you're not the one keeping the site afloat with your time. Your time doesn't buy server space... I thought that was obvious?
I'm glad to see people getting rewarded in a FAIR way for donating their real cash to the site.

@ VeeJayHedgehog - To answer your question, if you buy the 6k csc package, the 1k bonus csc does count as a stamp. :)

Butthurt everywhere up in these comments.

Since when is it a bad thing for them to reward us (they don't have to)
for spending money that WE CHOSE to spend on the site??

Snobbish and annoying as hell, so many of these players are.
0

I don't get the drama. Subeta doesn't force you to spend money on the site instead of on food or clothes.
Subeta just decided to reward those who inject money in the site. The items will still be buyable from shops because not everyone who gets them will love them and they might sell them.

It's not like csc items suddenly became $ buyers only, everything is still there for everyone. You can still buy all items with sP if you can't afford to spend $, you just won't get the rewards like with the bobbles. But if you go to a coffee shop you don't get a reward every time you buy a coffee either, you get a free coffee on 5 or, 10, or whatever.
Subeta is not different from a coffee shop, subeta is a company that needs to pay employees, pay for servers, etc.

I kinda want to slap people who go all 'OMG THEY WANT TO RUIN US' and 'the site is going down because you ask csc for items', fuck off.
The site needs money, if you can't or don't want to spend money on it: fine. But the money is still needed and it has to come from somewhere.

I don't see why people even throw around the word 'unfair'? What is unfair? That people who actually try to help the site get around get a reward for doing so?

So many comments.
But I have just a quick question:

Do subcription count toward the CSC purchased?
0

ChatLunatique

Very nice change. I was honestly getting quite frustrated with receiving the same old bobbleheads over and over. My vault is full of the annoying things, now if the recycle beast actually started asking for them.... :)
It is sad though, I bought CSC one day too early to qualify. Story of my life :(
0

Evy

Love the fact that I bought 6k just two days ago, that's already 4 prizes, thank you! :D
Just wondering how this works, if I buy another 6k, does the card just end up being full, or do I get 2 more stamps on a new card, again with the same prizes? (Until a new card is released?)

VeeJayHedgehog

Bit sad to see the bobbleheads go...was pretty close to completion of both sets, but oh well. Maybe someday I'll have enough sP to buy all the rare ones I'm missing ;D More goals for the future =D The Baby Griffin Talisman definitely piques my interest the most! It looks almost like one of my 'sona's pets, Aurealis <3 Will definitely be looking to get that sometime in the near future, hee.

As others have stated about their own, my personal financial situation is...not that crash hot at the moment. But I'm managing okay.
I mostly rely on on whatever I'm able to save on a quarterly basis, but when I can afford to spend something on myself, I tend to forego using sP to buy and purchase a $30 CSC package. Now that I've been made aware of the going rate of sP to CSC purchases, it's definitely something I'm working towards when I need a fast top-up.

I do like the idea of the loyalty card's progression over time, instead of simply recycling the same card and the same rewards like some other unnamed petsites have relied on in the past. Another future goal to set my mind to, which is nice to have running alongside my current HA/pets wishlists c:

Seeing as the CSC packages have set limits with bonuses and each stamp comes after 1k CSC...would a 6k package earn one 6 stamps on the loyalty card (or would it be 5 considering the bonus CSC is just that, a bonus gift)? And with the $20 random special stamps, would I be correct in saying that at least 2 of those would show up with the purchase of the 6k package? A confirmation on this would be nice in order to crunch a few numbers now prior to future events :)

In all, I rather like the changes. CSC is a sometimes thing for me, paid-wise, and in the knowledge that there is a new system to take part in is nice to log-into and see. Thanks, Subeta ^_^

Very cool idea, but it would be nice to still have the bobble heads in place too.
To reward people who are supporting the purchase of credit through other means, since not everyone is able to directly purchase from the site.
Also, would it be anyway possible to let people who have purchased a large amount of credit, get those purchases to count towards the card? Seeing as $25+ isn't something everyone can allow themselves spend. Not sure if this is already a thing, but it would be a nice way of showing loyal customers that they are put first indeed.

To the people who are unhappy about this because they feel like this site is becoming more money ordinate,
There are a lot of sites who do this, who release special items for players to purchase with real money. Subeta is one of the many sites I've been on that actually seems to care for players who do not want to, or cannot spend real money. The 'premium' items are not locked onto a specific account, they can be transferred from user to user as many times as needed before being used. There are plenty of wonderful items one can acquire and users do not need to spend real money to acquire them!
Perhaps a better comparison for this card would be the referral program Subeta uses, since not everyone will be able to refer people to achieve the necessary amount of points for the items in the shop.

SCIENCE

I like the idea of this, I think it's a good marketing ploy. That's not sarcasm, I do understand that as a business finding a way to encourage people who have already shown their willingness to spend real money to come back and spend more, plus entice new real money customers, is very important.

As someone who can't spend money on it, I'm sad to see the bobbleheads go. I only recently started getting enough sp to buy csc for multiple items in the cash shop, and had been slowly collecting them.
I don't mind about the new loyalty card items, I'll be able to buy any I want eventually I'm sure. It's just a little sad that something I could take part in is being replaced by something I don't have the funds to enjoy (now and for the forseeable future).

Basically, it's a good bonus for real money buyers! I like it. But...removing the bobbleheads (and not replacing with something else) has taken something away from those who cannot or will not support the site with their real money, so I think it's understandable (or at least unsurprising) that those people might get a bit upset by the change.
0

Taters

I like this idea, though. I get most of my csc with sp. But itll be nice to not have bobbles to worry about.
Though I did love the feeling when I completed a collection and got a pile of awesome items!

Still feeling a bit bummed with the vip items. All of them are selling for so little in user shops and people like myself are buying them for shop orice for people with out vip. It makes me wonder if there really is a perk other than the achievement,
0

Jasper

Also, jfc, I just counted the number of punches on the card. You want us to spend a hundred dollars before we frigging get a reward? WHAT? Effing WHAT? And people, stop attacking the nay-sayers. They have a right to be pissed about this but you don't have the right to be a tool to them for it.
0

Jasper

Oh now you bring this out after I decided to no longer spend any real cash on this site. Where was this thing three years ago?! Augh!!!
0

TaterSalad

This is awesome! Thanks for the perks!
Off topic, I want to be able to "like" some of these comments. When will the hearts be fixed?
Also off topic, I am beginning to hate the word "unfair". Just sayin'...

"Well I for one have spent 800+ USD just in the last 2 months. I do not like spending USD on here and nor do I actually have money to throw around"

Look, I'm trying not to get involved in this argument, but this statement is hilarious.
You left out the part where I said "when you want something you work hard for it" I had been on a long break from subeta and wanted a battle pet yet did not want to take 8 years to build one. So yes, I sacrificed RL money to achieve that goal. Its not something I would have wanted to do in most situations. But it was the only way to achieve my goal.

I work for everything in my life and have never been given anything. Actually been hard to be given a chance in most cases of my life.

Also, you should not and can not compare this to neo. I was on neo ALONG time ago, way before cash was brought into the game. It was horrible then as well. So many cheaters and programs running to stop you from having anything. Subeta is the best pet site I have ever seen by far. No programs to my knowing because I can actually restock on here vs never getting anything on neo.

I see nothing wrong with spending RL money on subeta and even if you cant spend RL money on subeta its still super easy to get SP in this game. It just takes doing research and finding out the best way to make SP. If you are efficient enough with just a couple hours a day (1-2hours) you can earn over 50mill without issue. It just takes some learning of ways to do it. If you have even more time, You can earn over 10mill an hour easily.

Just gotta work hard for what you want.

Look, my intentions were not to bash this site in any way or the staff. I LOVE this place. I was simply worried because I LOVED neo at one point too, until it become nothing more than a sinkhole for real money. I am not saying that they are going to turn out the same way, I was simply expressing my feelings because of what happened in my 11 year experience on neo and was worried I came here just in time to see it happen here too.

I am a bit too new to tell how many items can be bought with cash versus sP. I was simply stating MY worries about what happened on Neo in hopes that it would not happen here. That is all. I had no intentions of forming this HUGE debate over how sites earn their money. I even stated, several times, that I understood a site this big needs to make money to keep running.

All I said was that I hoped they did not turn this into a prime focus on CSC instead of a balance on the site. I think that is a LOGICAL concern given the large amount of petsites that have fallen due to this very situation. Don't take it like I am bashing anyone or saying the site is unfair right now. But I know that anyone who once loved Neo knows exactly what I am talking about when I say "A prime focus on items that involve using real cash ruins a free pet site." I am not saying I think this will happen, I am simply stating my concern so I feel better about it. If I had kept my mouth shut and it turned out the same way as Neo, I would have no one to blame but myself for not speaking up sooner.

Subeta seems to have a better chance already by allowing their items to be bought by cash but sold by other users for sP. I mentioned that this was a VALID point.

From my experience so far, I noticed that the staff really do care about what their users think and how balanced the game is. I believe that they will continue to keep it fair and not make everything great for cash and the rest for sP. I think they are doing a fantastic job and I love everything about the site and it's features! I was stating my feelings and my opinion. I was not upset about this, things like this have to happen to keep such a wonderful site going. I was just letting my voice be heard here since in real life...it never is.

Sure, those who claimed the staff do this purely to take your money were harsh. I do not believe this statement is true in any way whatsoever after reading several staff comments. It is very clear to me that this was a way to reward people who support the site through monetary means. I mean anyone who pays real money on the site do not have to do so but doing so truly is awesome and help even those of us who can't buy things with real money enjoy the site by keeping it funded. But anyone in my position would and probably does have the same exact worries. To those of you who can afford to spend even five dollars on here, I am happy for you. But understand what it feels like to be part of the group of people who don't even have two pennies to rub together.

You feel left out. THAT IS ALL. That is all I was stating. Regardless, this is not going to change my opinions on the site. I still love it and when I get my new job and can afford it, I will gladly spend my money here because I would rather spend extra money here than somewhere else. Now please, stop with this arguing. We come from very different backgrounds so being harsh to those who simply feel a little left out because of their financial state...it just...well it adds insult to injury, ya know? It makes US feel bad because we have no money and we already feel bad about that.

I was not saying that THIS is unfair, I was simply worried that this would grow into something unfair like how Neo did. However, after reading staff comment, like from @Rah I see that you guys truly are NOTHING like the neo staff and you do care about keeping the site fair. I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I think from what I have seen so far, the site is fair and fantastic items are all for free and that is spectacular. I guess I was expressing my opinion here because I never got the chance on neo. Letting those out there in the same financial situation as me know they are not alone.

And also, chances are good that if I can't purchase CSC before the end of this...I will be saving up for the Griffin. It is beyond cute ^^

Thank you, Subeta Staff. I do not want you to think I am ungrateful for all the hard work you do, I truly am. Even if others in my position do not share the same sentiment. I am very happy and appreciative for all you do. You've given me a new place to run to when my real world feels like it is crashing in on me and I could never really repay you for that. I just don't want to lose it like I lost Neo.

That is all.

Thank you again for all that you do and thank you from everyone else too! I will continue to support the site in ways that I can and encourage those I know to join too. It is worth it ^^

The whole comparison of VIP and regular items for Peka-Boo, and the argument that 'only people with RL money get the cool things', I think, comes down to the fact that the Kigurumi's are the BEST items by far to come out recently and they are not VIP or CSC items.

What kind of luck do I have... I'd just bought $30 worth of credit on the 17th. :D I just made it in there and I have some wonderful stamps!

I'm going to whine. Yes, it's true. I am sad. I'm going to miss the bobbleheads over this new... stuff. I loved the bobbleheads for the fact that they were subeta themed. These things... just remind me of the free items that come out with CSC purchases... just random pretty things. We seem to have enough pretty things elsewhere. I liked the thought of the presents/gifts/extra things being more... prideful.. or "subeta spirited"? I am curious what happened with the idea of getting rewarded with the account buff type deal.... wasn't that suppose to be a thing or did I get my wires crossed somewhere?

Took the words right out of my mouth. Everything on this site can be earned for free, just takes some time.

LadyMeridius

This site needs money to function. I have, nor ever have had, a problem throwing a few bucks at a site I loved to help keep it going. It takes a lot of work that most people have NO fucking clue about. My DH just sold a major forum of his. Believe me, for a over a decade, I got to hear about it. The costs of the server, the costs of upgrading the server, the costs of the software and to maintain it. The hours spent fixing it or going to his upline if he couldn't get it fixed were beyond any monies he made off of. If a hard drive failed, if the back ups failed...you get the point.

When someone sends financial support for a site, its not always about lining pockets. It could be the what's needed to pay it that month, or help replace a hard drive, or get an extra back up etc. In exchange, perks are given as a way to say thanks.

Sometimes I wish the people that put Subeta down constantly and have nothing better to do but complain were kicked off the site.
It is getting a little ridiculous that it's the same people over and over again.

It's irritating, and you're just making yourself look childish.

I think this is a fine thing to do instead of the bobbleheads. My only gripe is a personal one, I got CSC on the 16th instead of the 17th. ;)

Quoting Rah: "Our creative department tries to put out the best art we can on /every/ occasion. You don't have to have tons and tons of real life money to ever get anything cool, here. In all aspects of subeta there are items that are not available to every person for one reason or another other than from buying from another user - battling items, game prize items, quest items, certain event items. But we look at our user base and we see where people are putting time or effort or money in, and we want to reward them accordingly - give them the incentive to carry on, to feel that it's worth it.

We are always looking for ways to make you guys happy, and we appreciate every single user on this site. I appreciate every one that looks at and enjoys the art we produce, and I hate to think that you would believe we are just giving the 'good' items to people with money. We are giving good items to all of you - they are just different sets of good items.

I imagine that after a while, the items available from this loyalty card won't all be kept by the people that got them - and users will be able to purchase from other users for similar prices in SP/SP-bought-CSC the things that they like from the cards. Rather than calling us unfair, I would love for you guys to suggest ways in which we can MAKE this fair. We are listening to you, and we want to hear from you. (I mean, if you want to just call us buttheads that is ok too, but we try really hard not to be, there are just so many of you guys to please!)"

You will never be able to please everyone, but you guys are doing a damn fine job trying. Kudos for that, I'm sure it must be a pain. This site is a million times better than Neo. Here it is possible even for the newest members (as I once was) to make a decent amount of points. Neo just doesn't give a carp about it, you guys respond quickly and kindly to all of my questions, even the dumb ones.

There's nothing unfair about it. Money/income is a fact of life and Subeta is a part of that. No money=no Subeta. If I ever can afford to buy one, I will.

Oh yeah, the art on here is terrific. :) happy Sunday to all.

I've not spent RL money here because I do not have a job because the economy is shit. However IF I could, I would because this place is better than any other I've seen.

Sure we have server issues, yes there's lag, no its not perfect, no not everyone kisses your ass to make your experiences here easy, get the fuck over it. The site is trying to go forward so you can either be a part of it or gtfo. Bitching about this isn't going to make it go away. They made the decision to present it to us, so suck it up and deal.

Now another way to get you to spend real money on here.
Not really. It's the same principal as the bobbleheads, but instead of getting a bobblehead for every $1+ spent (or 100 CSC) in the CS, you get an item after every $10 bought (1000 CSC). Subeta's had "thank you for helping to support the site" rewards for a while now. Different method, same idea.

Ferinsy
Quote:
Nice add. Love the items.
But I think there's too much foccus on CSC lately. I know it's important, just be careful and also keep doing that really great job with non-CSC events, games and things.
Subeta is kinda starting a course took by a rival petsite, but that petsite lost thousands of users doing that.
They really aren't. They've come out with a ton of great non-CSC stuff in the recent past weeks. Not to mention all the great Peka-Boo stuff. They have to make money, too, though. At least they're coming out with creative ways of saying thank you to those of us that purchase CSC to help the site along.

Yeah, no thank you. Some people actually have buy CSC with sP due real life responsibilities which take priority over pixels. If this system was for spending CSC instead of buying CSC, I wouldn't mind so much. Thumbs down to you, Subeta.
I guess they've switched to those that buy CSC with actual money because they're the ones supporting the site. It makes sense, really. It doesn't make sense to reward someone for buying in the CS with CSC not bought and paid for themselves with real money. Kind of like you redeeming someone else's buy 9 get the 10th coffee free card. Someone bought all 9 coffees but lost the card. You found it, picked it up and redeemed it to get the free one. Not fair at all. Why should the person that spends real money on CSC and people who buy CSC with sP get the same rewards? That's what would be considered not fair.

Dr.PoisonIvy
Quote:
I agree with others. Most people in this day don't have any money to spend on "fake" items. I mean, we can barely afford real food. Subeta has been awesome because of how you can feel like an equal while being "poor" in the real world. But, like Neo and other petsites...this is what started the social classing. Those who have money can afford to buy everything and those who can't are left with the scraps.

It isn't fun to come on and see ALL OF THE WONDERFULLY NEW THINGS....that you can never afford. I mean, I am all for supporting the site and when I can afford to, I plan on buying some CSC to get some of these cool things but...but don't be like neo.

Don't focus on making everything for RL cash and forget about those who could never afford to spend even a dollar on something besides bills and food for their family. It isn't fun, equal or kind. It just makes those who are poor feel even more left out than before.

Just, don't forget about the little guys, ya know? Have just as many, if not MORE free items for the site. With Neo, anything you want costs NC...it isn't fun to see all the dressed up pets while yours gets the scraps they put out for free. It only furthers the idea in this society that if you don't have money, you are not an equal. From what I have seen from the users and the staff I have talked to...that is not what this site is about.

I wouldn't want to see all these fantastic people leaving because the wonderful world they found where they feel like they can participate...is taken away from them by the owners because of monetary greed. That's not what this is about.
Like I said to someone else, they've come out with a lot of great non-CSC items in the recent past. Like, a lot. They've not forgotten about the general user base in that sense. Neo doesn't care about you at all if you do(n't) buy NC. They don't reward you for it. However, this site does have to run. The majority of the way it runs is on players buying CSC. No CSC bought, no site due to lack of funds. At least Subeta staff cares enough to thank those that do buy CSC to help keep the site running. Neo doesn't do that. They're just a sinkhole for your real money and what do they do to thank you? Send you silencings for no reason because you can't be trusted with a piece of paper on that site or a conversation that's based on nothing greater than the weather.

The items that Subeta's come out with may cost sP, but earning sP on here is free. So the sP items they've come out with are technically free.

But...there IS balance over here? Have you seen the massive amount of gorgeous sP items that just came out with Peka-Boo? We get revamps and/or new releases damn near every week, like what are you even on about.
She shares my same sentiments. Rah even confirms the fact that no player is ignored and all are being treated equally. I'm not going to say that I don't like the costs of some things on here, either. I don't. However, I either need to spend more time questing or stop being so gift-giving-happy and save my sP so that I can get those more elusive items.

It really does make sense. Think of it this way: when Staff gives free items away on Subeta that don'tt cost a thing (eg: New Year's goodie bags or site birthday goodie bags), they're then on site in the hundreds, maybe thousands, due to the amount of items that can be found through the floating items events. Those items then whittle down to becoming almost valueless because there are so many items of the same kind on site. I'm willing to bet that, dollars to doughnuts, there are way, way more sP-valued items on site over CSC-valued items on this site.

Everyone, myself included, has their times, I'm sure, of getting upset that some things cost a lot on here or about certain items on site, cost being put on the back burner (in other works, people may have issues with items themselves, the look of them, the description, the name, what they're modeled after, etc. Anything other than the cost). While it's fine to vent (I do my fair share of it), I do have to step back and realistically look at how to re-earn sP on here besides selling CSC. I'm not good at it. Haven't been in the almost 3 years I've been playing. I'm still trying to find the best way to do it. However, once I do figure it out, it'll feel all the greater once I can finally earn the sP to make the purchase I've been so badly longing for.

Besides, I'm sure that eventually these items will wind up in player shops from the Loyalty Cards and they'll be available for people to buy.

I just hope that once you finish a card you get another one LOL!

My long-winded thoughts. Well done, Staff! I do love the new card. I hope that maybe there will be some future buffs and things coming out for people that that buy CSC with cash over and beyond the Loyalty Card. Maybe some battling stuff seeing that there seems to be a roughly even wardrobe loving population and battle dome loving population here on Subeta?

Tonks

Not so bad, I just hope that there is no random (so no multipes too much) and that we will know a bit before the card change and not at the last minute for the ones thag want to comllete them slowly.
0

Salmonking

How terrible! A site wanting real money to fund its operations! Atrocious! Why, it costs a whole five dollars for five hundred of these CSCs! Yes, truly horrifying.

You guys have been doing an awesome job of balancing new sP item releases with cash shop clothing. The popularity of the new Ethereal line in the Wishing Shrub is a testament to that, along with those awesome beach plates, beach shack wearables, paintbrushes -- the list goes on. Are there things I've had to spend real money to obtain on here? Yeah, but they weren't that expensive, and I could have easily just paid sP for them with some effort. The fact that the economy on here is so balanced is a definite plus, and I don't see it changing much just because you guys switched to a loyalty rewards card -- of all the ridiculous things to suggest, s2g. Thanks for all your hard work to make the site better.

(Also, I'm so glad to see the bobbleheads are on their way out -- I just joined two months ago and I'm already sick of them, plus there were so many to collect that I knew I'd never catch up. The card is a little daunting to try to fill, but it's a definite improvement and certainly makes me feel a little better about keeping up with the old crowd. :P)
0

GinjaSnap

I'm actually kinda happy about this. Not happy that all the money I've spent on this site before now won't be counted. Happy though, that I will be rewarded for future times, and happy that the bobble heads are finally going away.
0

SaboKat

"Well I for one have spent 800+ USD just in the last 2 months. I do not like spending USD on here and nor do I actually have money to throw around. "
lol wow okay
0

Rah

@Raggydoll - Oh yes, that quote was about neo! I should have included the other part, it was about how they were worried we were going in that direction - of only having the CSC items be the nice ones! I was trying to say that we aim to draw beautiful items for every kind of person on subeta - not just the people with real life money to spend!
0

CassieFenix

I may try this when I get back from vacation, since I have a UGC that I need to get activated, but if I get something other than that griffon, I'll happily trade it for something else, even maybe some WL items. :) Still, I won't be doing the CSC thing much once UGC, so I should at least try to get one or two of these while I can.
0

PinkiePie

This is cool, I will be using this often as I buy gold account medals.
0

Raggy

@Rah I'm not sure but I think the quote you used was about neo, not subeta? maybe Im mistaken.
Im someone who buys csc, I have a family and I go to work, this place is my treat.
Some people are poor some are very very rich, none of us can change that, its a fact, I think Subeta do a great job, when I joined here after 8 years at Neo I made 1 million sp within a month, everything there was too much like hard work in the end, and I only managed 1 million in all that time!
There are lots of items on here that I cant afford, they're millions of sp, but at least on here theres a chance i'll afford them eventually.
I wish there was a way to reward spending csc instead of just buying, for the people who buy with sp.but I dont know how it would work.
0

Arte

I wish I had more time to complete the bobblehead collections. I am almost done with them. Guess I better spend all my money to finish them.
0

Andrea

Also I'm glad to see the bobbles gone |D Now THOSE were unfair.

I also agree the quality of items is usually across the board. Not everything everywhere is my taste, but it's all done to the same standards. Including the evil food trucks taking all my sPs.
0

Ferinsy

@Klassikal you'll get the stamps with 500 CSC purchases ^^, The amount is cumulative.

@Rah I KNOW! Gladly my pet train a lot and he'll lose a lot of the weight he gained with the trucks. I'm looking forward to the games announced in the banner like... SO MUCH!

@Rah

Also wanted to say how much I am loving all the wonderful items this event has. Just wow. :) Wish some of these were available in RL.

But thank you for your concern when it comes to OTHER people's money n___n Maybe you shouldn't assume everyone's in the same boat as you, Princess, and actually has jobs and money.

Checks buying history and Awww feels very sad and wishes it was a bit further back for the retroactive credit for buying csc :( dang :(
0

pastelditto

I'm completely fine with this I may even abandon Gaia for this full time. Here is much more worth it anyhow. The art is better and everything
0

riddikulus

I do sort of like this concept since I just paid for CSC with real-life money for the first time...

BUT I do agree with people here who have commented that perhaps the stamps should be rewarded for spending the CSC rather than purchasing it, therefore giving other users who don't have the ability to purchase the CSC with real-life money to earn the stamps themselves.
0

Rah

I'm glad a lot of you guys have noticed the amount of non-csc stuff going out too! (I also very much enjoyed the kigurimis and ponchos! And the food truck foods omg) We've worked on a lot, and have a lot more to come (I mean, that's pretty much the situation ALL OF THE TIME :D)
0

Dragyn

I'm going to miss the bobbleheads. I liked the bonus items you got from completing the collections.
0

Klassikal

I'm pretty disapointed to see the bar set at 1k purchases when I can buy CSC in increments of 500.

The amount of hullabaloo is depressing but par for the course. I'd agree with it if people were complaing about legitmate issues, but getting your knockers in a twist because the site is encouraging people to purchase CSC with real money?

The timing of this once again is atrocious. There is uproar with the Wishing Bush, the is aggitation because of the CSC/Couture stuff, and yet this is the best time to release a brand new (and come on seriously you knew as irrational as the backlash is, there was going to be backlash.)
0

Rah

@Twisted_Pretzel - RIGHT?! I will be glad never to see another bobble bobble again! Let's recycle them alllll (note, not official comment, simply comment from Rah who wants to throw all her perky faced little bobbleheads out of the window)

I agree Rogue! I really like how they made the 'a' into a paw print; that's what the official title/logo should have!

The image for the rewards card is so cute!

and also I do work for my money ;P as the 66 hours on my check will agree ;P
0

Hetty

Jeepers! Started to read comments but gave up. I won't be able to buy CSC directly but I'm happy for people who support the site to get something extra. If it means more people buy CSC to keep the site going, well good on you, you have my thanks :) There's tons of lovely items on here, I've yet to see any "items of sub-par quality" - what a load of nonsense that is!
And I need people to buy CSC so that I can buy it from them to keep my GA going :D
0

Twisted_Pretzel

I hope Bobbleheads make their way to the RECYCLE BEAST now. I am super sad about Ultimate game cards no longer being a choice!
0

Ferinsy

@Rah agreed. You just need to look at those kigurumis and ponchos on the fashion shop at Peka-Boo. They're not only for VIP, and they're awesome. Actually, I like them more than the CSC items (even liking some of them, too).
I'm just worried because lately we are having a lot of CSC things added. Those Wilikers and other minions-related items, the space-themed items, The Bloody Summoning Altar, Peka-Boo VIP tickets, now the Peka-Boo Coutures.
But in balance, we are having also a lot of sP things released lately. I mean, during weeks we had 3 or 4 releases of awesome wearables, like those bug habitariums, the eco bags, those background plates...
By now, I think Subeta is still paying attention in all the players, but I'm also kinda worried...
0

gemajgall

Glad I'm not crazy and alone and other users share my sentiments.
0

Bailey_435

Btw if you look at past news posts, the amount of regular-sp items released is staggering compared to Peka-Boo VIP items and other cash shop-related stuff. I think subeta is already making an effort to keep a balance, I just hope they keep doing so.

JMHO:

I fully understand this whole thing and it doesn't bother me. However, just a cautionary word: Neo, the site that has sucked ever since they introduced NC and it took over. As someone that has a very old account over there, I hardly ever play there any more because of it. Neo does not give a hoot about you if you don't buy NC. I was very happy to be brought over here.

The idea is to keep a sense of balance while making sure the site can run as it should.

I know that this is a business first and foremost, and businesses need income to survive, no problem. It's the way things work.

I want Subeta to thrive for a very long time and here is where I spend my time. So may this whole thing turn out to be a wonderful thing for the site and all of it users.

Again, just my opinion and I'm not bothered by the whole thing. Those are some adorable rewards. :)
0

Extract

This looks like fun :) I spend about 20 a month or more, depending on how much I'm ignoring my bills ;) but to get a bonus is even better. ;) I even spent 10 dollars right before I even read this news post so ;) yay!
0

Maritime

Rah, you're wonderful, don't ever change. I doubt that you guys will ever be able to please everyone (you're right, there are so many of us these days!), but I love and appreciate that you and the rest of the staff listen to us and try.
0

Beryn

Eep, I like this idea! I've never had a use for bobble heads, so if I ever get around to saving up extra cash maybe I'll consider buying.

"Well I for one have spent 800+ USD just in the last 2 months. I do not like spending USD on here and nor do I actually have money to throw around"

Look, I'm trying not to get involved in this argument, but this statement is hilarious.
0

Fray

Aw no bobbleheads :(

love that lil' gryphon tho'!!!
0

Ferinsy

I'm just laughing on people being snobbish and throwing into everybody's face they can afford thousands and thousands of CSC...
Laughing, yes, bc they apparently don't have to work for their money, probably funded by parents or relatives. When - and if - they actually have to work hard to have money, they'll think again before doing it.
0

Galaxy

I am happy to see this. It's a nice new way to go about getting rewards for helping out the site.
For those of you upset that these are only available through purchasing CS right now, realize that it is very likely these items will eventually be available in user shops. Maybe not for the price you'd like to pay, but if that's the case, you will just have to decide if it is worth to you. (An item will only retain its value if the users deem it valuable. Otherwise, even it maintains a steep price, it's likely to just sit in a user's shop and rot.) Also, there are SO many items which go very little sP (really common and common main shop items come to mind, in particular) that they are very nearly free. I hardly think that adding 10, 20, 50, 100, or even 500 new items that are harder to purchase is going to tip the balance.
I, for one, appreciate that there will continue to be a rewards system in place, just with a different format. It's always a stretch to come up with the money to purchase CS and it's nice to get a little something extra. -nods-

Quote:
You had to spend real money to /ever/ get anything good. Sure, you could play for free, but only the people with tons and tons of money to spend ever had anything cool, while the rest of us got junk and items of sub-par quality.
Our creative department tries to put out the best art we can on /every/ occasion.

(I mean, if you want to just call us buttheads that is ok too, but we try really hard not to be, there are just so many of you guys to please!)
0

Treeboa

I don't think people are complaining about those items. But it's the VIP-tickets, more and more CSC only stuff... People can't put up with earning sp to buy gift cards anymore, and the gap between people buying CSC and people not able to, is getting bigger and bigger. I think that is what is bottering most people. Especially with the festival now and people missing stuff cause they weren't able to buy a vip-ticket. They aren't able to buy some of the nice cash shop items, and now they are missing out on this also. Isn't a nice feeling when you are trying but you can't fit in. And if you allready don't have much money in real life, subeta gave you a change to earn and spend a lot on the site. But that feeling is slipping away with all the CSC stuff they now also can't afford.
0

Brandon

Well I for one have spent 800+ USD just in the last 2 months. I do not like spending USD on here and nor do I actually have money to throw around. But when you want something you work hard for it. I got what I wanted and will continue to buy subeta cash. I see it as supporting the site. Weather you can or not is not something you should complain about. Subeta and the team come out with TONS of great items that are not cash shop items. You think getting one of these will be hard? No, it will not be hard to get these items. With in the first month, maybe. But try getting your hands on T11+ weapons and god weapons. Try getting an item that is so limited that only 5 or less are on site. You say its unfair? I say its perfectly fair. Im not complaining about the peka boo event. I honestly have no idea what its about weather you have to be musically talented or just have a good show with HAs and a group. I have no patience to even design a good HA. Im not complaining about it.

Just try and enjoy the site when you can. For me its an escape from RW stress and even a social bracket in my daily routine. Just got to do your best and have fun.
0

Bailey_435

The loyalty card concept makes me feel like I'm at a Rite-Aid though.
0

FENNEC

People scroll down and wasting time complaining about people complaining. I basically just described 1/3 of the comments.
0

Darkrai

But...there IS balance over here? Have you seen the massive amount of gorgeous sP items that just came out with Peka-Boo? We get revamps and/or new releases damn near every week, like what are you even on about.
0

Bailey_435

Man, I really do wish this applied retroactively. I really don't mind the idea as much as other people seem to, though...
0

Loving the artwork on the card! *-*
I think this is a nice way to give a little something to people willing to spend real money to support subeta ^^
Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on some of the prizes in the future ;o;
DAT GRIFFIN.
0

Poppins

I feel like this announcement is really badly timed. This, along with the VIP ticket purchases, the CSC couture in the fashion yurts, and the ridiculously amount of rich Subeta users monopolizing the wishing shrub, is making the event feel less like fun celebration and more like an advertisement. A really cool, inventive, interactive advertisement, but still. I like the idea, and I think it's a great perk for those who financially support this site, but I feel like this could've waited until after Peka-Boo had been over for a week or two.
0

Lenayre

StarShadow "The Loyalty Card considers all CSC purchases from Thursday, 17 July, onward as qualifying purchases." So, no worries! File a ticket to make sure it counted?
0

Dr.PoisonIvy

Hey, I am not saying I do not respect the site or that I think this is going to be "the downfall of us all"...I'm just saying that this is kind of how things started to go downhill with neo. First, there were special items you could only get by purchasing NC. Then, they spent all their time making awesome things that costed real money and almost no time making things for free.

I get that a site needs to make money to keep going. I just...I just finally found this place. It would be so unfortunate to watch the same thing happen here. It is good to give people that can afford to spend money on here something extra for doing so. But...not everyone doesn't spend money on here because they don't want to...most don't because they can't.

I guess all I am trying to say here is, don't forget the little guys while making stuff for RL money, you know? Just keep it equal. Sure, have special items for those who spend real money here, that makes sense. It is still money they did not HAVE to spend money here. But don't do it the neo way and spend ALL their time on RL cash items while giving those who can't spend money the scraps, ya know?

Keep it balanced. No one is saying every user should have every item, that is unrealistic. But don't make it to where only rich users can afford the items.

Just...balance. That is all. Balance.
0

Speiro

@Dr.PoisonIvy - Which items are you talking about? Because I just price checked a bunch of the CSC-purchase-only items we've had recently, and the most expensive I can find is the Opal and Black Pearls for 14m sP. That's not that bad.

Opal and Black Pearls
0

bracket

Hilarious seeing how much people are getting worked up over a few items. Yes, they're expensive, both in terms of real-world money and, one would assume, their SP equivalent. It's only six items! Let the site reward those that put the money into the running costs.
0

Chazezmom

I think it's awesome that you find ways to reward our cash purchases....
0

Georgie

@facade well, that is kind of tricky wording imo. :/
0

Ferinsy

@Marreshaann yup, I know... I already bought more than $1,000 in NC, and now I stopped playing because that place is dead. I hope Subeta doesn't go that way.

I mean, I'm not saying this is wrong. In the long run we'll be able to buy the items on the usershops for 10m, I hope.
But I'm just saying that the site cannot to stop with the attention to all the players as well. And yes, they are still giving us a lot of attention.
0

faerie

Oh.. I see where my logic would fall down though.. Those that buy to sell wouldn't get any rewards..
0

Xiocite

No... not spending csc, unless it can be fixed from last time, when buying a csc card from the cash shop counted, and then you could turn it in, and buy it and it'd count again...

(Black friday rewards from a few years ago, I'm looking at you)
0

what

@Georgie;

it actually is $100 because there are 10 stamps on the card. The 5 stamps stated on the news post are 'special' stamps which occur every $20.
0

Andrea

This is not the first thing subeta has ever done that was exclusive to directly giving money to the site, and yet I can't recall people getting up in arms about the special items given when purchasing csc? This is really no different, and chances are people out there will sell the stuff in the end (the only thing I really want is the book |D.. and maybe the cat leggings idk yet) for sP.

This is not a big deal, or new, and I don't see a stupid book or plushie being the straw that breaks the camels back. Now if you get a free godly for 10 stamps, I will retrack this statement, otherwise just take a deep breath.
0

StarShadow

Figures, I just bought (& spent) CSC today. Darn!
0

Darkrai

You actually can trade cash items on Neopets too, aside from a very small selection that you can't access unless your account is above a certain age.

And @Georgie, there are 10 stamps, so $100. However, bonus CSC seems to count as well because I just bought 6k in total with the $50 option, and it gave me 6 stamps.
0

faerie

Hmm... Even if they switch it to spending CSC rather than buying CSC, someone has to have bought the CSC, so they still get the dollars, right..
0

InSaNe

For once, let's stop thinking users must have every single thing, and instead respect that, especially if you're a free-to-play user, there are users who spend money on Subeta, as they are what keeps the site alive. This is to reward them. Respect them, you wouldn't have any cute pets to write stories for or wardrobe to collect doll clothes in if it wasn't for them.
0

Maritime

Guys, Subeta doesn't have to give us a prize for buying CSC. It's a perk, it's a loyalty program, and it's a great gesture, but it's not an entitlement. The items are great, the card is adorable, and they're reasonable benchmarks.
0

Trendy

This is pretty awesome! I actually had planned on signing up for the monthly sign up when I start my new job next month, so woot for extra incentive.
0

Dr.PoisonIvy

This is true Speiro...but lets take a look at how much those items sell for. I mean, for one item...they might as well still be off limits most of the time. I agree though, that is a valid point. If you save and save and save you can get ONE of those items from a user shop...you just have to do it EVERY single time and for one item at a time. You know any item bought with real cash is NOT going to be sold for even a slightly expensive amount.

I'm not saying do not do this at all, the site does need to make money. I'm just saying...don't take the same route as neo by making all the really desirable items for CSC and the rest for sP. It builds a social class and it reminds other of just what they could never afford. Again.
0

Georgie

5 stamps = 5000 credits does not equal $100.....
0

FENNEC

The hunger games..their coming to subeta* w*
0

Aspirati

The items are nice, but as a policy I don't spend real money on gaming sites...
0

Dryad_182

Ehh.. Being one of those people that can hardly afford to pay my bills, I certainly don't have the luxury of spending real money on here currently. I'm a little irritated with this, mainly because this is coming immediately after the -first- event with a designated cash-to-participate section. I understand that you guys are trying to bring in some funds, but yeesh. It's looking more and more like Neopets with all the paid items, and it just solidifies that feeling of segregation all the more. Do not want.
0

Lore

You guys. Seriously... I'm really not liking how this is progressing, and I'm with the other people here saying that this is just for people with money to throw around wherever. Now, I've bought my fair share of subeta cash, and I don't plan to stop supporting anytime soon, but these are hard times for a lot of people, so please, don't become neopets. This is EXACTLY the reason why I stopped playing. You had to spend real money to /ever/ get anything good. Sure, you could play for free, but only the people with tons and tons of money to spend ever had anything cool, while the rest of us got junk and items of sub-par quality. Aren't we already divided enough with CW's? I appreciate the idea of having rewards for people who support, but at the same time MAKE IT RETROACTIVE or something, PLEASE.
0

InSaNe

Wow, only $100 to complete a card ? What is this, African pocket change ?
0

Speiro

Re: The Neopets comparisons:

On Neopets, cash items are locked to your account. If you want them, you have to spend RL money to get them. That excludes users.

On Subeta, these you can sell and trade these items all you want, so you can just buy them with sP. That's not at all the same thing.
0

Monsoon

This is so awesome considering I just bought $100.00 worth of CSC in the last 24 hours. :D So stoked and LOVE the items!
0

Ganemi

Beautiful art on the card! Now I really want to see a canon height chart on the pets. This is too interesting!
0

Marreshaann

I agree with Ferinsy I spent money on that place for the so called better account and you are correct that place went downhill fast because it was putting real cash before the users,Now the question is Is subeta going to go the same way.
I stand by what I said it is another way to get you to spend cash.
0

Seoni

Yeah, no thank you. Some people actually have buy CSC with sP due real life responsibilities which take priority over pixels. If this system was for spending CSC instead of buying CSC, I wouldn't mind so much. Thumbs down to you, Subeta.
0

Baa

Wonder when i will get my first two stamps for my purchase on the 18th... :) love this idea.
0

Julie

Thank you so much for your continued loyalty!
Please accept a hug from this pug on our behalf.

Too cute.
This will be interesting to see what these items will be costing in the long run.
0

Lana

I need those Kitty Tights. Awesome new feature!
0

Dr.PoisonIvy

0

CakeMoose

Aw man, I would be completely cool with this as a non-CSC buyer, but there's a squishy wearable baby griffin involved ;-;
0

I got the pug but wanted the kitty leggings. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose. This should be cool. :)

Oh yeah the buffs thing, I don't know about cash shop specific buffs but I remember buffs from during the masquerade. Please continue using it, the icons were cute
now i think i'm talking about completely unrelated things but buffs could be like maybe random events that raises your chances of getting things by n % for n hours. like more chances of getting rarer items on the vending machines. or something. that'd be fun

Oh I love this!! The rewards are adorable and omg how cute is the art on that card?

And thank you for making purchases from 17th count, that's when I last bought some csc lol ^-^d

Maniac

CSC this CSC that, smh
0

Speiro

So the collections themselves are retiring, not just the bobbleheads, right? As in we won't be able to redeem them for prizes anymore?
0

Georgie

So, if we bought credits since the 17th and our card is blank, should we file a ticket?
0

Riashire

Also, go figure, I bought 1000 CSC on the 16th, lol!
0

Greg

What about every 1000 (or a little more) credits spent? It's a little difficult for me to buy CSC :/

Lyric

@Ferinsy I totally agree, hence my statement. I can stick to things that don't require RL money to make me "feel included" etc.
0

Alison

I like this. Too bad for the thousands of CSC I've already purchased. Even with those purchases, I've gotten the same 5 bobble heads every time so I never completed the collection. Oh well.
0

HYPEBEAST

Oh man… That Baby Griffin! Looks like I got to buy me CSC again at some point. ._____.
0

Rowan

Aw man. Too bad I can't buy CSC. These prizes look pretty cozy.

probabilistic

What happened to the "buffs" idea?
0

Riashire

Do Subscriptions count toward the CSC purchased?
0

Carawick

This is great and thanks for going back a bit as I just bought some a few days ago which got me the stamps! :)

Lyric

@Virus Either way it's still yet another way, I sure hope they don't turn everything in to motivation with real money.

RubyShades

Forum title?! How did you know I collect those?! Loving those Kitty Leggings as well.
0

Ambition

this is such a great idea - I love it!!!! <3 <3

Now I need that BABY GRIFFIN!
0

Aztec

If those are the rewards, color me unimpressed :/

Oh well, I guess
0

Aynjell

I just bought CSC. *cry*
0

LizBlackDog

well that sucks balls for anyone that buys CSC with sP.

oh well, maybe it'll help bring the price down.
0

Kisrah

Aww the card and stamps look so cute! And I love the bonus items. Nice to see this feature active at last!
0

Ferinsy

Nice add. Love the items.
But I think there's too much foccus on CSC lately. I know it's important, just be careful and also keep doing that really great job with non-CSC events, games and things.
Subeta is kinda starting a course took by a rival petsite, but that petsite lost thousands of users doing that.

Muerte

I thought this would be the CW contest results.
Is the
Stamp My Card!
a book ?
I need that Loyalty Coffee Tufts.
0

Princess

I was kind of hoping that this system would be like the bobbleheads and revolve around spending CSC in the cash shop instead (although I get why it isn't), since I never have to buy CSC due to CSC commissions. 8/ Oh well. Hopefully the items will eventually be cheap enough for me to get or somethin.
0

Orange

I bought CSC on the 16th. Just my luck.
0

bulleta

Good riddance, bobbleheads. I never liked you anyway.
0

Taurus

Oh this sounds fun, what did bobbleheads do anyway?
0

capper09

for EVERY 1000 credits?? what they think?? we're millionärs? is amazing what kind of new ideas they have, to get our real money, but no programmer have an idea what to do with lost server always...^^
0

LunaWolf

0

Damon

@Marreshaann

Actually this had been in the works for months now.
0

Of course, they do this after I buy my CSC... xD
0

Budgie

0

Scathach

Awwwwwwww man.... I just bought 5000 on July 4 :(
0

Jigglypuff

cool! it's a bummer that I didnt see this before I ordered 500 csc a couple weeks ago. this should be fun, though c:
0

Lyric

Maybe include the reminder on UGC retiring so that won't be an option soon?
0

Marreshaann

Now another way to get you to spend real money on here.
