New Battle Quests

Have you been wanting to fight old and retired opponents that you can\'t find in the battle coliseum anymore? Nows your chance! Reischen has revamped the battle quests to be a gauntlet with each level getting harder than the last, with prizes only awarded at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30.

Think you can hack it? Give it a try!

The one thing I don't like is only being able to skip 2 times.

Halibel

I really like this change, thank you! I could only do 15 levels but it was done quickly with the added links and I got 7500 exp out of it, so I'm happy :)

Burton

I'm happy to see the revamp, but there are some things that I find to be ridiculous.
There are 30 levels, supposedly an increasing level of difficulty each level, yet my first few always bounce around, 'difficulty'-wise. I made it to level 16 before I had to give up.
Yesterday, it seemed to, as a rule, increase in difficulty with each quest, but today, I got to level 11 and my opponent was Mechalag.
He has 4.5k HP. I scrape by, then he's my next opponent. I manage to defeat him a second time, and he is my third.

There should be something put in that actually goes by base stats and actually increases, not jumping several tiers. And then that opponent repeating 3 times.

There should be a quit option, and either not allowing you to continue, or resetting your count, and not giving xp bonuses or resetting the bonus count to 0 and requiring 5 wins to get it.

LinKai

The new way is interesting.
A quit option would be nice, even if you can't restart, I agree there.
What may also be interesting is if you're given a retired challenger, you can continue to fight them as long as you don't move to the next level of the quests (though that may be wishful thinking).
My actual suggestion is that we kind of keep both formats. You have your standard amount of challenges per day, but then you can do the "battle quest challenge". Once you've completed all your BQ's for the day. Remove receiving items from the challenge except at the end of each level, and keep the exp (perhaps lowering the amount given a bit).

Kestrel

Glad to see that the way exp is going to be handed out will be changed back tomorrow. Kinda sucks if you manage to get to 23 or 24 but not quite to the end.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but I also think it would be nice if weapons as prizes would just go away (or only be given out at 5, 10, etc) and the prize after each win could be sp or a quest shop points. I got some R/SR items today, which is nice for fragging, but that's all they're good for. None of them would remotely help a battle pet and most are too cheap to make it worth selling them.
idk, I was REALLY hoping to see item prizes removed from BQs and have them mirror the sort of revamp that the other quests got.
1

OtakuOokami

The new battle quest is O.K., and I'm glad that it'll be going back to the exp. reward after every fight mode tomorrow, but...

There needs to be a quit button. Right now, it's been restructured to resemble Item Hunt more than regular quests, but the big difference is that it's missing a quit button. I don't mind being bounced back to the beginning (or even being told that if I quit, then I'm out for the day), but getting stuck at a tough opponent like that and have it just lingering there...mocking you...Yeah, not good.
0

CastlesInTheSky

I'm not done yet but, I guess I wont have any use of a gold account anymore. BQs were the main reason why I would use them.
But If everyone gets 30 challengers with a set amount of EXP, & no sP. bleh.
Im on 26 right now. Chase, I still dont have him unlocked, Ive tried him twice, he's beaten me. I cant really be 1/2 assed to try to beat him at the moment. a quit button would be great.
With the old BQs I could beat everyone minus the pos blue ball, which I would always quit. again, cant be 1/2 assed trying to beat him at the moment. So now if I get him, I'm done for the night. bleh
& I dont know if its just me but even doing 25 of them last night took way longer than usual.
1

legalcat

Definitely needs a quit option. Would be nice if the prizes were a little better, maybe getting special prizes for getting past level 5, 10, 15, etc.
4

mas

i have found that if i do not go through the quest page to rechallenge the opponent directly after loosing, if i win the win does not count in the quest. mild headache but overall i love the new battle quests. i have found i can fight new opponents without realizing it. :)
0

SYLVAN

I love this new tiered system, it pretty much guarantees that i'll be able to gain a certain amount of experience points before I have to bail out. The quests are also a lot less frustrating now because i'm no longer thrown opponent after opponent that I can't possibly fight yet. There are no words for how happy I am that I no longer have to see Prodigy three or four times in a row. :D
2

Paddy

Got to level 25/30 before my pet can only tie / lose against the challenger, which is probably more than I did before as I always ended up with Prodigy multiple times in the previous format ;)
The EXP seems higher than before, which is awesome :D Now if only there was a slight change in the dropped items, to something less junky every now and then, it'd be perfect :D

Bye Battle Quests! *waves*

Not really worth my time if there's no quit option (going by some of this morning's comments it hasn't been replaced, correct me if I'm wrong) especially with only tier three pets.
1

TrueRukiaFan

Honestly, there are things I really like about this change, and a few things I don't like. I like the preductable progression in difficulty, and the XP yield at the lower levels is MUCH better than it used to be. I'm not thrilled about the fact you only get XP every 5th battle (Tho, the XP you do get then is good). I also miss miss the small sP reward from each battle. Sure, it's only pocket change, but it did help defray the cost of training...
0

Carpathia

Well, I do like how we can automatically go to the challenger. That's very nice. And I made it to Level 10, which is totally awesome, fully did not expect to do that. That's where I stopped, because I'm not sure I could make it much higher.

I do wish there was a quit button. I really do! At Tier 4, I don't expect to get very high. I do like the bulk drop of EXP, so long as I can make it to 5 and 10 of course.
0

Stakely

Glad BQs are getting the good old revamp! Thanks staff, I know there's still some tweaks to be made so you won't see me in an uproar.
0

Jules

Agree with the comments against this change
So now I can not complete the old battle questing achievement? *sigh*
0

Ferinsy

The old achievements will be retired? What's the point of it? It should jeep tracking the same way, the new quests onlyhave 1 and 5 ttiers, it's just... meh!
just 'cause I was starting to complete BQ everyday '-'
0

Senti

I made it to level 30 but only got junk items :(
0

StarShadow

Got to level 22 this time when I got Sag as an opponent. Seriously, at only level 22? None of my pets are even close to being able to defeat him. New/nicer prizes would also be good but these junk items gives me more stuff to frag.
0

StarShadow

Tried it yesterday when first announced and again a bit this morning. Honestly it's kind of boring having to go through a bunch of weak opponents that I normally don't even bother with (except for pets with lower stats) since half my pets are tier 11. And no quit option to start a new quest, as with all the other quests, needs to be added.
0

Moz

Some sort of QUIT option would be really nice! <3

It's been fun to fight some of the old and retired opponents!
5

facebook

I enjoy this change. I never really used the battle quests before but I think I'm going to start using them now!
0

KooriChan

No quit option aside, really liking the new system since just by getting to levels 5&10 felt a lot more rewarding exp wise than the old one since I've only ever focused on a single pet
0

Duane

what the hell i liked BQ the way it was this new system sucks rocks bad i hope with enough complaints you @Keith will change it back to way things were like i said this sucks rocks
1

Deneb

Bringing back old opponents is nice, especially since there are some events I missed. I like increased payout at every 5 levels -- it mirrors the special loot for the first 5 wins in the BC. But a 'quit' button would be nice, and small payouts for the in-between levels would also be nice, in case one flubs up at the 5th/10th/... levels.
0

Hamda

I like the concept. gives us a chance to fight retired challangers and all but there are a few issues...

1. there is no quit option
2. at tier 12 I usually skip the low level challengers, that is no longer an option...
3. when you lose and challenge the challenger again it counts as a normal BD fight not a battle quest fight
4. you have to go through all five levels to get exp. that's acceptable until you reach lv 25, not many can finish those you know...
5. if the battle quests are going to get harder the prizes should reflect that too. a nice drop now and then would be appreciated!
2

far

Dude, no.

Why screwing up the battle quest?
Why taking away something that I enjoyed?

WHY NO EXP.
5

Arra

I was never a big fan of battle quests - because of the prices (I never looked so much at the exp^^) - and now... No exp and a price worth 1sp for a hard opponent :/
But I like that you revamp them though there are same things to change like mentioned in all other comments.
2

Vindoweld

As a person with low-lvl pets I like that we are given more EXP now. 1500 for level 5 is quite nice. But what I don't like is that we can't skip the opponent. I mean, there are a lot of different opponents of the same difficulty, but your pet can beat one and lose to another.
2

Cerex

Quote @Purge
"The way EXP will be rewarded is going to be changed tomorrow. It'll revert to giving out EXP after each quest you complete."

THANK YOU YAY!!!
3

Ewok

Glitches:
If you click battle again, it's a normal battle and not a BQ battle

I don't like:
1. that you have to go through all the weak opponents. On days where i have little time it's basically not worth trying because the good opponents are in the back
2. only getting xp every 5 levels. So if i beat 4 and lose on level 5 I get nothing. While i did beat those 4 opponents
3. It's time for you to face Sandragon! Click here to challenge them! Game over. While in the past I could just skip him
4. I want to be able to click the pet again to be taken to battle instead of a 1 word link that is hardly visible.

This was the only way I trained. I'm saving money so i don't train or boost. So all i did was using xp.
Way to ruin battling for me.
4

Wolf_Spirit

"StarShadow

There IS no way to quit now and it`s terrible :( I would love to see the quit option come back ASAP :é
3

Kevin

The new system benefits people with low to mid tier pets. The exp being given out does not scale very well to the increase in difficulty so people with high tier pets kinda feel ripped off, from what I have read at least. For people with lower tier pets, they should be getting more exp than they used to even if they only complete the first 5 or 10 quests.
2

zephros

i don't totally mind the new system, i kinda like not getting prodigy/other hard people three times a day even though i know i can't beat them. plus 1000 XP after the first 5 is way more than we got for beating those tier challengers the old way. kinda wish the items weren't still random battle junk...

today and yesterday i got mechalag 3 times though. talk about a time suck. x(
1

Wolfmyth

I wish, like many others, there was a way to quit a quest if you can't beat the opponent. My battle pet can get to 15, but I always seem to get one I can't beat at 16...
3

Raven

thanks Purge. Could we also get some sp too? I kinda need funds, and loosing the sp and then having to heal my pet is actually costing to do this quests. Granted my pet's higher level so she doesnt loose points that often, but that's not true of other people
4

Purge

The way EXP will be rewarded is going to be changed tomorrow. It'll revert to giving out EXP after each quest you complete.
17

Dragonfae

I agree with you @Fenlai. I got stuck with Maleria's Familiar at Level 26 and got defeated. I know I can't beat her so what's the use in trying again. The major problem I see is that there should be something where Reischen either lets you quit that quest after trying it and failing or he tells you that you've bombed out on the remainder of the quests (which I think would be really unfair as there are others at that level that maybe my pet could beat).
0

Zay

Well made it to level 13 and Mechalag destroyed my battler. Sucks I didn't get exp for those 2 other fights, majorly.
I liked being able to quit a quest if I knew I couldn't defeat who was thrown at me, the way it is now is... so time consuming and boring. I don't want to battle an opponent I know I can't defeat. No point in trying. I'm just stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I liked the old battle quests, sorry.
8

Anne

Okaaaay, no more battle quests for me...I did them for the EXP, but now, it seems impossible to get EXP with a pet that's not in the highest tiers. I liked it that I could make Battle Quests and push more stats by spending EXP than training.
But this update is beyond awful. It takes YEARS to get a decent battle pet and this makes it just harder.
8

Natsume

I got to level 10 :I My pets are weak and I've never had a strong pet. xD Kinda sucks being stuck.. also not getting SP anymore from the quests either and not being able to quit
2

Natsume

How in the heck do you end a quest if you can't complete it??? There's no button
1

Willow

I did pretty well...got through 29/30 I know Kozi cant beat prodigy yet...hes very hard...but I surprisingly got chase 3 times (havent unlocked him yet) and was able to beat him....not sure about the xp but...I think its kinda a cool way to do it...
0

Wolf_Spirit

I don't know if I like the changes. You got rewards after every opponent you fought and you could choose whether or not you wanted to fight the opponent. Not to mention it got mixed up some quests being hard, some moderate and some easy. This way you don't have a choice. You don't get XP every time you win a battle. You need to wait until each five fought. I'm not liking this at all :(

For Example...
I liked the fact that you could choose whether or not you wanted to fight an opponent over having no choice. I also liked that you were guaranteed an XP prize after each successful fight instead of every 5 fights. I just don't like the way this new system is at all :/
7

Life

WHAT IF.

You could choose which range of 5 battles you wanted to battle in?
Example, beginning pet owners could stick with the lower ranges.
Middle of the road pets could stick in the middle.
Higher pets could go to the top.

Anyone would be free to go up or down if they wanted a challenge/something easy.

BUT to keep it from being a cakewalk for anyone, you could make it so no one could choose the same range more than say, 3 times per day? That would encourage new battlers to challenge themselves, and curb the amounts of daily exp that more experienced battlers were getting. Which I think is what the basic goal of this was?
4

Cerex

@DrJeff Not really a quest anymore from what I've seen, but yes I see 30.
1

StarShadow

I don't understand this new system. How do you quit a quest to start another one?
3

TJPanda

I took a chance and tried the new battle quests just for the fun of it. Thank you kind subeta friends for encouraging me to give this new system a try ^_^.

I was able to get to level 15 and complete it. Level 16 kicked my pets backside in two moves XD. You lost to The Hustler! Now I'm stuck on an opponent I can't beat so I'm done until the quests reset at midnight tomorrow. I like there is no time limit between battles. Not having a quit button is a bummer. It's like mara quests that have no quit button. You have to waste time waiting on the timer to wind down before you can do another quest. The system in great and I can tell a lot of thought and effort was put into this. Great job ^_^.

Will the challengers from the new battle quests be on the quest challenge page so we can battle them casually without the pressure of high end battling so we can at least practice a bit for the battle quests please ^_^.
2

Synth

So the Gate Keeper is in the same level as Saggitarius? But i can totally beat him! Get out of my way, Saggi! XP *really missing the ability to skip quests now*
1

MapleRose

On the one hand, I like that he's not asking me to battle Saggitarius and Prodigy 5 times in a row when I told him I can't beat them, and I like being able to battle event guys; but on the other hand, I don't like that I'm not getting exp from battles that are not one of 5,10,15 etc, and I don't like having to ramp up slowly to get to the guys the pet I really want to train
1

Ravage

You Lose :disappointed:!
You lost to Chase!

I didn't even have him unlocked. Why am I fighting him? Is he old and/or retired?
So I lost and went back to 0 (not sure if it was the midnight thing... it was 12:07 and still not reset). So when the night changes and BQ reset, basically FU for challengers I beat but got no exp before the next "tier?"
If I were to be stuck on Chase before the reset, I am screwed out of getting exp from other challengers for which I CAN beat in his level? (which would be a joke of an EXP gain for their difficulty).

What a joke. Please reconsider a drastic change or put it back to the old way. I, like many others, am in a transition. I am not powerful enough to kill everything but I CAN beat certain challengers classified on the same level. I'd rather take my chance at random enemies and get more exp than those weaker than me. So be it if a ton of crappy enemies or super hard that I cannot beat yet show, but am ABLE TO CANCEL. I may have luck one day and get a decent amount of exp while other days I may not. The weaker people have the advantage of using the training center and autotrain. I do not. BQ is my main source of stat gain.
I am punished by having to suffer through crappy enemies instead of cancelling them. 1500 will only buy me 1 hp. Woopdedoo. I'd rather skip 5 than gain 1 hp.
8

Lyllytas

Not sure how to feel about this honestly. One one hand, yay, getting to battle old opponents. On the other hand, it's not like we get anything special for battling that specific opponent. I'm kinda bummed that since I don't have an incredibly strong pet (My battle pet is only a tier 6) I have to give up before level 20. At least with the old system if you had an opponent that was too hard, you could quit and get another. It just seems kind of tedious to me how the new quests are set up, and honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to invest too much time into do them now when amount of exp isn't really that great compared to before the revamp. I may give it a couple more days to see if my opinion changes, but atm, I'm not really that impressed.
8

DrJeff

Does everybody get 30 quest per day now, GA or not?
0

Cerex

Ooo Metroid!

Anyway, I was able to beat level one, but now can't beat two. This is irritating, I want to cancel this match up. And now I get no exp.
0

TJPanda

I stopped doing battle quests because all Reischen ever picks is opponents that are way too hard for my pet to battle. I can't even do half of the quests the old way. The new way seems nice but I'm not going to bother with it until I can get my pet to tier 12 somehow - currently tier 7 plus I've been working hard to upgrade my pets battle set that is taking me forever and a day to do XD.

Why not have a battle competition between Reischen from battle quests and Jim the pet school trainer to see who is the better battler between the two. It would be interesting to see who would win since they both have interests in battle pets ^_^.
3

StarShadow

I only got to level 21 before my pets lost. But I don't see any way to quit the quest and start another one. We used to be able to do that before.
10

Ravage

So lower pets can auto train AND get higher BQ exp? While I can get 1 or 2 training per day and the same crappy exp as them??? Especially when I can beat ex: sandragon x5 and only get 4.5k exp? I'm sure it still costs them lower EXP spending to use their points, too. Right?
5

Life

Oh you only get 5k for level 30? I got GE right off at level 26, good to know I don't need to bother and I can go to the grocery store after all. Not worth my time XD

Maybe I'll try this again after it's tweaked :)
4

Sebraxis

Not liking this AT ALL! I hate not having a "quit quest" option... gonna be missing out on quite a few quests because of it. I hit level 21 and was stumped by Sandragon... ticks me off, as I can defeat Saggi, Gatekeeper, etc., but not Sandragon, so I missn out on 9 quest as opposed to 3-7. HATE IT!
7

Life

21-25 was Sandragon x2, Saggi x2, and Raging Storm Sylph for 4.5k EXP

this doesn't seem right?
5

Ravage

And on top of that, I don't want everyone to get the same exp as me.
0

Ravage

I dislike much. Very much. I can't skip the crappy-waste-of-my-time challengers now? And I get crappy exp too, on top of every 5??. Pfft.
6

Magpie_816

I think I might make better batches of exp with the revamps, the prizes on the other hand is still as sad as before.
0

StarShadow

I hope there are new prizes. I stopped doing Battle quests after I got the achievement because I was tired of getting the same junk prizes. Might give this a try later.
3

Kellijuana

Yep, I was excited to see how this was going to go, but now I'm not. v_v
I agree about the every 5 levels thing not being awesome..
1. Working hard to defeat a few and missing out on the reward because you didn't beat 5?
2. Being able to choose which pet gets rewards for each battle.
I am training up a few battlers at a time at different levels and liked being able to reward the appropriately leveled pet with some XP.
Also, not being able to quit and get another quest and so not actually being able to finish the full quests until your pet is capable of beating all challengers is a bummer.. I know that before we were probably quitting just as many or more quests when the opponents were too hard, but at least we got to see that 30/30 when we were done. (OCD anyone?) Maybe it could be adjusted to be like item hunt. When you hit an opponent that is too hard, you quit and it sends you back to the first level? Just a thought.
10

Kevin

Because this was level 30 you earned 5000 experience!

thank you for all of the easy imp challengers o-o
3

Lea

Agreed 100% with Satyr.
I'm warming up to the revamp to some extent (I really, really like the idea of things getting progressively harder rather than seeming so random) but I feel like it needs some work still.

I also don't understand at all why levels 15 and 20 award the same amount of experience as level 10? That's just odd.

I'm not a hardcore battler but training my tier 12 pet with Battle Quests was honestly the only daily I ever really managed to stick to. I'm hoping that some of the user feedback will be taken into consideration.
5

Nanny

ok so normally i not a fighter and i have been training on and off for 8 years .. going on 9 .. so my pet cant win Mechalag.. as i stuck with it .. and wont be able to get any higher then 10 levels .. till my pet is stronger ... what is it going to take another 8 years to get there ... i will keep training .. but i so done with the fighting .. gives up
2

Cole_401

I found the sP a nice little bump while doing some of the more boring quests. It would be nice to get them again. You do receive sP for every Item Hunt quest completed...
9

Synth

To be honest, i never paid much attention to how much EXP i got on a daily basis (i just let it build up for a while before i check on it), but judging from other comments, it was probably more than i get with this system. I agree about rewarding it after every quest too; having to beat five in a row in the upper range of your ability is pretty hard and you should really get your reward for each one...

But otherwise, i do like the way this works now...i think...lol (it feels more streamlined anyway)
1

pumpkins

Pretty sure I will do BQs less cos we have to endure all the boring ones together at the start, so if I'm not sure I can finish all 30 I probably wouldn't do them, the way it is now?

I feel like we also need QP for how pain in the arse this is :9
9

Satyr

ok having finished my 30, i just want to reiterate: exp on the fifth round exclusively is a bad model. i mean, the increments we're awarded are divisible by five anyway, why not just award the 300 exp or whatever after every opponent?

it doesn't seem like much of an issue in the lower tiers, where the difficulty curve isn't that noticable. but when you get up into the extremely hard and impossible opponents? there can be a very, very big difference between being able to beat one EH and being able to beat the next EH. getting 3 quests in to the EH round then getting your ass handed to you (and thus being robbed of any potential exp for the quests YOU HAVE ALREADY FINISHED) is kind of a big "fuck you" to battlers in a transition zone. PLEASE reconsider this model.
23

illusion_834

I'm really missing the give up button haha
10

CassieFenix

Jumping me up on level 11 from Suzy to Pete?! No thanks!
2

Synth

I was pretty excited about this as i cruised through the first 20 levels but then i got Saggi for 21 and i can't beat him. Balls. Normally i'd only have to skip maybe 5 quests a day, but i guess now it'll be around 10...oh well, saves time. Wish there was a button to give up though; it bothers me to leave it hanging like that (it would also be fabulous if i could skip him and maybe get a different challenger in his league, in case i could beat another one, but i guess that defeats the purpose of the new system...i guess). Anyway, i guess this is an improvement; i just need to keep getting stronger. :P
0

Nanny

ok lost to Mechalag went back and i still have to fight him .. but i lost .. how can i fight it again .. i will only lose .. so am i done till it resets .. 11/30
3

Kevin

@Kellijuana
I'm not sure about him actually, he might be one.
I would love if they posted what special rules were on the challenge page so you know which ones ignore freezing/defense/healing and special stuff like that
0

Mike

Rewards are incredibly underwhelming. It was easy to average 25-30k xp a day from the old system, and on some great days you could get 40k+ even 50k+ not only that but you could be far more picky about which pet got what xp. I want to be happy about this revamp, but its just not happening.
10

Kellijuana

@kbob Nope no curse, though thank you for answering me because I think my opponent is one of those that ignores defenses v_v Nightshade? Gah... I wish I could keep this stuff straight! lol I almost always have to look for a guide to any opponent because I can't remember which ones freezing/healing/blocking work on BAHA :/
0

dotSei

Kinda miss the Quit button right now. :d

I got some of the past battle opponents-- I forgot how much I like some of their designs.
9

Kevin

I jynxed myself and haven't gotten tokens from the past couple challengers x)

@Kellijuana
curses get past all defenses, were you cursed?
also, some challengers ignore defense, like Tide I think
0

Frankenchokies

@kbbob

Ehhhh balls. >.< It'd probably help if I had actual good weapons instead of a bunch of cheap bullshit, but I hate wading through all the guides to find good ones that are also affordable. <.<

But anyway thanks for the reply. ^-^
0

Kellijuana

Hmmm that's weird... I just used my Shinwas Temple Shard to fully block and the opponent was somehow still able to hit me with 200 damage? :/
1

Satyr

1500 + 3000 + 3000 + 3000 + 4500 + 5000 = 20,000 exp for 30 quests. a little underwhelming, considering i just defeated 5 impossible opponents in a row there.
2

Kevin

Tokens seem to be pretty common, I only didn't get one once. I am happy about this.
Exp could be increased though :/

@Frankenchokies
from level 15 to level 16, it goes from hard to extremely hard difficulty challengers
your pet lies in the range where it's strong enough to beat hard challengers but not strong enough to beat all of the EH ones. that's just where a cutoff had to be.
0

Gunnarr

I've now gotten Mechalag 3 times in a row. Isn't bringing back old opponents supposed to add to the variety we're getting?

(Mostly I'm complaining because he's a goddamn HP sponge that takes too long to kill. :( )
3

Frankenchokies

Why does the hardness of opponents jack up from level 15 to 16? At 15 I had a medium opponent, and at 16 I have an IMPOSSIBLE one. (For my pet anyway.) Is this on purpose?
4

8=8

Everything seems to be working like a charm now.

Thank you so much! ^_^
1

Kevin

@Cyroris
glad I could clear that up =)

@osterizer
it's worth a shot, from what was said on the last news thread before it was reset, that's how I thought it worked
1

osterizer

@kbbob: That's what I was thinking.
0

@kbbob
Yeah if it said that for me I wouldn't have asked all Reischen says is "It's time for you to face Mephysto! Click here to challenge them!" lol so I lost that message. (yeah highest pet is only t3)

Why is Level 10/15/20 all just 3k exp per level :(
6

Mike

Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest!
Because this was level 20 you earned 3000 experience!

that is not a suitable amount of xp... 10500 for 20 bqs...

Kevin

@Cyroris

You've completed 14 out of 30 quests today. Remember, they reset at midnight!

yeah, they reset at midnight.

@osterizer
I think the pet that gets the 5th win gets the exp.
1

Bastit

@Keith They're counting now. Good, and thanks.
*cancels bitchfest*

Mike

somethigns wrong with the opponent RNG, it's just giving me the same few opponents over and over, I've gotten fish breath like 5x and felibot 3x nightshade 4x etc etc

osterizer

Question: I have two pets. If I fight rounds 1-4 with Supertramp, and then fight round 5 with Tinky-Winky, who gets the experience points at the end of round 5?
3

Cyroris

Is there no way to go down a level or restart back at level 1 if you can't beat something? Does this reset daily or is that it for me?
2

Kevin

aw darn, tokens were changed from 100%

can they at least be more common than they used to be?
imp tokens are pretty awful to get

CassieFenix

There any reason why my pet would be in a battle after I beat a foe and then get beat? I've had that error happen at least twice now.
0

Hetty

cool at last got the 1500 exp and the tokens :) Angry Angry Arnold was getting VERY angry, lol.

Kevin

Thank you for the quick fixes, it's appreciated =P

I enjoy seeing the process of the typos and what not in real time

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Achievementz::uodate() in /www/subeta.net/include/mvc/models/bq.php on line 48

...Getting 'em again, guys... And that was after my fourth win.
0

Keith

That error should be fixed in a second, it's me adding back in the old achievement :)!
6

Kevin

uodate is probably not the correct method call o-o

wow talk about downgrades
2

Keith

Ohhh I see what you're saying. The old achievement (Battle Royale) should still be counting with every quest!
7

Gunnarr

1500 EXP for the first 5 levels? I'm okay with that! :D

Like I said on the last post, not sure if I'll like this over the old system. With the previous battle quests I could make a decent amount of EXP beating Pete and Mechalag, even though I can't beat a lot of other harder challengers. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how the level progression goes.

Kevin

The exp seems better at least for low end opponents, you just have to do 5 quests to earn it. Not a bad tradeoff.
The extra prizes are a slight bonus, increased token handout.
Old achievements are retired but will likely be replaced by a large amount of new ones (hopefully)
0

Pixi

Really really bummed that these don't count for the battle quest achievements, is that a bug or is it now retired?
1

Christina

I thought the new Bqs were going to be less time consuming..?
3

Satyr

why is it that instead of taking away the piddly item prizes that no one was doing BQs for, you switched exp (aka the ONLY THING people do battle quests for) to a once in 5 battles reward?
13

Kellijuana

Argh, okay I asked about the only one pet part, left to put kidlet to bed, and came back to see what was said in response and it had disappeared. LOL Anyone wanna help me out? Are we confined to using one pet?
0

dragonrider88

Damn, so NOT happy about the retiring of the battle achievements... I was really close to 4000 :(
7

Kevin

Because this was level 5 you earned 1500 experience!

confirmed that it was awarded to the correct pet ^_^
1

Keith

@Bastit We never take away achievements for old features, the old BQ related achievements will be retired.
0

Bastit

I will be incredible and uber pissed off if we lost the achievements related to the old battle quests. I will make an intergalactic bitchfest.
1

TracyH

LOL, if HRH Seymour Patches Holmes were real she would be panting heavily by now. Wait do birds pant?

What the flip?! I just beat Coaliti (that coal creature), and when the reset happened, I was supposed to face the trio, but it said I was in a battle, and when I checked, I was beat by the creature I had JUST BEAT?! How does THAT work?!
0

Stephanie

Can we get the image of the challenger as a clickable link to the challenger like before? (I'm too lazy to aim for the small text)

Kevin

take 2.

Awesome. Glad to give it a whirl.

Keith

Posting again because the last post was all of the errors!

All prizes are being handed out now and we've reset the quests, and exp should be going to the correct pets :D!
2

Tserel

Deja vu.
