Battle Quests PT2!
Reischen has retooled the retooled Battle Quests, listening to the feedback from the community and making a few changes.
1. You now get EXP at the end of every fight! You still get more exp during the "boss" fights of level 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30.
2. You can skip one opponent per day, or two if you have a Gold Account.
3. You can launch yourself straight to level 15, skipping the first 14 levels but also all of the prizes that come with it. This will be a gold account feature in a month, but is available to everyone now.
Also after launching yesterday some things were fixed, including battle tokens and item prizes being rewarded again!

I'm wondering if a link to these quests could be placed in the Battle Coliseum, please (in the headings)? I'm having a hard time finding them, except through the news. ~Kat~

K, I'm an idiot, just realized the xp/tokens/etc are rewarded on the you won screen before you return to the quest page... Der. :P

Is it just my kindle? I'm not seeing any exp rewards... the only thing I see when I win is the random trinket prize...

It's time for you to face Slavam! Click here to challenge them!
Skipped him twice with the 2 skip option and he came up a third time.
There is no way my battle pet can beat this opponent at this time believe me I tried many times and got clobbered big time XD. Even with the new battle quests I can only get through level 15 then wait for the day to reset to start all over again.
With all the battle opponents to choose from there shouldn't be repeat opponents in your face all the time at higher level quests with the highest respect. Reischen is so grumpy towards my battle pet I wonder why I even bother trying to keep up with the battle quests in the first place XD. He shouldn't talk tough about being better than Trainer Jim because if Jim ever heard him look out battle war XD.
It looks like battle quests pick the same opponents in the same spot per level from what I have seen so far. I don't mind the smaller opponents because all experience points comes in handy no matter how small the beginner opponents all. I can't afford to skip quests but what can you do when you get stuck 3 times in a row on the same large tier opponent that wants to eat your pet for lunch O_o. I will continue to train my battle pet in hopes of one day being able to get past level 16. Thank you kindly ^_^.

Please please make the battle button and the skip button the same sizes...or like on green or something...I just accidentally skipped because my stupid brain registered big button hit. -.-

Quote by @Andrea:
Most gold accounts haven't done more than 10 battle quests a month, I don't think it's as big of a perk as you think it is. We'll work on adding in more GA features to make them more valuable for battlers, but this wasn't a huge draw before
I really hope something is done in regards to gold accounts actually being worth buying. Most of the one's that sell now seem to be in regards to BQing and I don't think two skips a day is really .... worthwhile.

I'm curious as well... does this quest reset at midnight? I haven't been able to begin them again today :-C
Other than that... I really like these quests ^_^

Still think it is weird that when you beat RE (or Kitty) 5x you'll get as much exp as beating Prodigy 5x!!!

Does it not reset at midnight anymore? Because as it is HRH cannot beat Jaquaes and I skipped him once, but then Reishan gave to me again. :/ As it is I will not be able to gain anymore spend EXP which is why I love Battle Quests.

If I have to do these, uh.. I'd rather stay capped and never have to n__n;

You've completed 30 out of 30 quests today. Remember, they reset at midnight!

I don't see me using any skips not one, and not a second one either. If now I don't have to pay for the first, which I am unlikely to use, why would I pay $ 5 a month for a second even less likely skip? I am paying/have paid in advance for extra XP, this is ridiculous and a rip off.

Thank you! This is so much better, the exp reward feels more fair - especially in the last 25-30 tier! Also happy that we can quit at least 1-2 quest :)

Really loving the changes, especially the reversion to EXP gained for every quest. It's nice to have BQs giving a regular amount of EXP with each win, and the revamped prize pool is a huge improvement to the prior one too. I'm a fan. :)

Umm....are these not resetting daily now? Like....I did 5 before midnight. Didn't do any after. Just now went to go start over and I was on level 6 and not at level 1?

May I suggest putting "Click here to challenge" in a green button? This would
make the challenge/skip buttons use the green-for-go/red-for-stop color scheme of the
familiar traffic light, and would be very intuitive.

The word "bonus" needs to be added to what Reichsen says about the five-levels.
---
When Subeta started using really big shiny buttons I didn't like it. But it appears I've gotten used to it because instead of clicking the small link BQ, my eye is drawn to that large Skip button. Heck, I don't must like autopricing it messes with my business model, so if my GA makes it so that I end up skipping quests I don't wanna, to heck with activating that GA.

Huge improvement, much better! I just wish we could skip more because once again, Saggi pounced on me at level 21 (twice, actually, so i had to use both skips right there). But then he finally buggered off and i got up to level 25.
When you lose on the first try, and you click on the "Fight this opponent again" button, and then it doesn't count for the BQ though...yeah, that still needs to be fixed, please.

I appreciate these changes! The ability to skip the earlier levels is really nice for higher level pets, and it's great that we get exp after every victory! Only getting 2 skips is a little frustrating, especially if I pull the same challenger (that I can't beat) twice in a row :/ The acknowledgment of user feedback is totally awesome :)

Oh this is so much better, I'm happy that my weaker pets have a chance of getting some badly needed exp :) I'd forgotten how brilliant Grandcrab Jones looks in large size, lol. Got stuck at level 21 and used my skips - The Gate Keeper, Sandragon, The Gate Keeper again, so I remain stuck, but that's ok as I didn't expect to be able to beat any at that level anyway. I will one day, just need some 'orribly expensive super weapons :D Thanks for the changes!

This update definitely makes the new battle quests more fun and useful! With the clear divisions of difficulty every five levels I can now focus on training each tier of pets separately, the ability to skip an opponent helps extend the lifespan of the quest, and it's over-all evolved into a fun and immersive alternative to the less-than-interactive pay-and-wait grind of the training center! Thank you so much! ^_^

Thanks for the changes!! Now i'm not stuck between level 15-20 just 'cuz I can't beat Hustler yet Also makes it much more rewarding for exp since now I don't have to get to every 5th increment to be rewarded with exp.
In short; Thanks!!

It would be nice if clicking the 'fight this opponent again' would actually count the fight towards the BQ. Just struggled through a few rounds against Cursed Irion (which I can defeat every so often) only to beat him and then find out it didn't count towards the BQ. I'd gotten to his fight page the first time through the BQ, but the following times I just hit the 'fight again' button on the 'aw you lost' page.

That was pretty darn fun.

Are the bosses for each level supposed to be a challenger from the next level? Lvl 25 was GE and he appeared as 27 and 28.

You can skip one opponent per day, or two if you have a Gold Account.

What if I get Prodigy twice in a row.

I prefer this over yesterday's launch. I will have to see if I like it better than the old quest style. I am resistant to change but will experiment with the top level challengers to see how often I get ones I cannot beat. I appreciate the consideration of our feedback and ideas.

Whoo! I like this change alot. My battle pet is just not that powerful yet and I have little interest in spending my sp on stat boosters right now, so this is really helpful for those small leaps. :)

These changes address pretty much everything I didn't love about the revamp and are great compromises! Love the fast-forward option (yes, even if it means missing prizes for those quests) for lazy or "nearly midnight" days :)

Because this was level 11 you earned 450 experience!
I got 1k for level 10 though - is it based on the challenger, or is it random, or how does that work? I assumed it would increase with each level.
I like the way this works, very smooth! One small cosmetic change, I wish the 'click here to challenge' link was a large button or something, or maybe that the skip quest button was smaller? We've gotten so used to clicking on large, colored buttons here on Subeta, that my eyes are naturally gravitating to the Skip Quest button. I know I'll get used to it, but it seems that at least for consistency's sake one or both should change/be made the same as the rest of the site, so it's not as confusing visually =) Also less chance of 'omg I used my only skip on buttwingz now I have to beat Prodigy what do'

Second not making the "skip" button the biggest, most obvious button on the page, even though the challenger picture is clickable. Being so big and obvious it's quite easy to click by mistake.
I do wish there were more skip options e.g. to skip to 5, 10, 15, etc. instead of just 15 -- the levels from 10-15 are about the levels where my pet is at, so the earliest levels are still very tedious but skipping to 15 makes things too hard. (And I wish it weren't going to be a GA-only feature.)

I keep wanting to click on the shiny red skip button when I actually want to challenge the opponent. Could we get a button to challenge them right above it or make the skip button less noticeable?

Awesome that feedback has been taken into consideration. Will have to try them again today. Yesterday was okayish with the launch. Im not a big battler tho.

I appreciate these changes!
Really dislike that there's only one skip, I mean all other quests let us decline. But whatever I guess.

could possibly make the "Quit" button either a smaller size or if possible make the challenger picture clickable. I just click the quit button by mistake. This after almost clicking it a few times now.

As silly as it sounds, I think the skipping option needs more clarification.
Would you miss out on the exp as well, and would you be left with 15 levels after that?

Sounds good. Would like to see some new items for prizes for a change instead of repeating the same old stuff. That would be nice too.
