Feeling frustrated at the lack of pirate loot you’ve been able to grab from the Freyalise Trading Co.? Well now you can take those frustrations out on the Freyalise crew themselves! Make sure to get any hits you want in during Keel Hauliday, because they’ll be shipping back out at 11:59pm on September 29th!

I managed to beat up to Angrybeard 5 times! That's more than I thought I could accomplish, so I'm happy. :) Maybe next year I can take on the others! (If they're released again.)

@stracer The pirate achievements were from the Pirate vs Islander plot, you had to beat them during then (that's why they are retired).
Maybe by next Keel Hauliday my pets'll be strong enough to fight all of 'em. Could we have the pirate battle achievements unretired, pretty please? With a treasure chest on top?
Just couldn't get an edge in on Jacques at all. Ouch. Sucks cause he honestly has the best drops of the bunch (appropriately so). Back to the training board. lol (well, better weapons would help too, but this guy's like t13)

Aww, I can only beat three of the five. Rita is too big of a jump for me. I'll miss out on them this time, but I hope to see them again next year!
@forcryinoutloud they all have special drops on the 5th win, like other challengers. That seemed to be the only loot.
Are we supposed to be getting items from them as we defeat them, or is it only specific ones that give items? I've not gotten anything yet.
I beat Annabelle 5 times and this is bad because now I've got FBS (False Battler's Syndrome) and I think I can beat anyone, which I can not because Derek only has like 15 HP
Welp, I can only beat up to Angrybeard. Normal Jaques is still out of my league too.-- Stats wise and probably gear wise. haha!

Yay, managed to x5 Angrybeard even with my rather terrible gear. No chance to beat even regular Jacques though, so I'll leave the rest to the pros :)
As much as I'm grateful for more challengers to fight, I wish in general they would hang around longer. We only got three days for the last plot challengers and that was while fighting a boss. A week for the boppers would have been fine since only one of them puts up a fight to speak of. Now we have these overlapping with boppers and it just seems really short. Still better than three days with a boss battle though.
Oh man DX thought I was fighting Captain Fishbreath Jacques, King of the Seas and thinking "Damn, you're easy!" and then I realised it was just Fish Breath Jacques. 8C

I managed to beat Angrybeard 2 times. Hopefully I'll figure out how to beat him 3 more times lol. :p
I'm still waiting on an 11th Anniversary cake. I feel like we didn't even celebrate. Like it wasn't that important. But it IS! On topic... good luck to all battlers.
@StarShadow There's another more powerful Fish Breath Jacques. Just keep scrolling, he's at 23,500 health and 9000 strength.
I keep getting water tome and blunderbuss from Jacques. Can only beat Rita 4 times, just can't get that 5th win. Darn.
Are the drops they give random? Because I can beat all of them 5 times except Rita and I didn't get any of the items on the list posted as a prize.
Awesome!! You know, with all this Pirate theme-stuff goin' on, there should be a pirate potion :)!! Pets with a pirate color would be epic ^.^

Yesterday I tried RSing and everything sold out as soon as I refreshed the shop. Today I manage to RS some items, but I actually overpaid for them. They're selling cheaper in user shops than in the NPC shop??? Have they devalued that much in less than a full 24 hours?
Urgh. Just a tad too weak to fight Angrybeard. He keeps kicking my (Or rather poor Pinions's) butt. -shakes fist-

Angrybeard is kicking my butt with random 500-600 damage rounds, even though he's ranked alongside opponents I can beat easily. :|a Anyone got any tips/tricks yet?
Thanks for the info. But by the time I get all the quests done it will be late. Maybe I can try them tomorrow.
Have to get quests done so won't be able to give them a try until tomorrow. And whether I bother or not depends on what they drop, if it's worthwhile.
Yay! Finally something I can really get excited about! backs off into a secluded lair to plot revenge
