My Story

I was single for so long I didn't even realize that the love bug had bit me in the ass till way too late. That's when I saw her. There she was, the most magnificent creature my eyes had ever seen. She was planting seedlings into the ground, humming as she went. I saw sunflowers, orchids, tomato plants, all sorts of things just scattered in their own little areas. It was so well organized and all the critters that helped her were running, climbing, lifting, digging, all around. Their own little community of growers. It was magical. I knew right then and there that all that time I'd been wandering around it was to come to this point and join her in keeping our land alive. I got the nerve to come out and talk to her and it was magic. We spent years together. We had our ups and downs, but everyone has them.

One day, one faithful day changed our view of the world.

We'd decided to go off to gather a few supplies out by the meadows. Its always dangerous, but it had to be done. I knew Kat was headed off towards the tree line before hitting the plains while I went further in towards the falls. It was only a few minutes of separation when I heard it. The worst sound in the world for us. A shot. A single shot so loud it rang through the trees. I had just reached the falls when I back tracked and dashed towards the sound. I slowed as I reached the tree line and then I saw Kat on the ground she lay there twitching and I knew she was moments from death. I grunted, I snorted, I lowered my antlers to get him away from her. Her life spilling onto the ground she lived to protect and serve. Its as though Gaia felt my anguish for seconds later, from the ground appeared a demon. He wielded fire.

Squeaky Bunny Of Doom

Long before I laid eyes on Kat I'd wander aimlessly. No real purpose, just taking a stroll here and there. Its how I came upon Squeakerkins.
He hates it when I call him that.

Lil thing was hanging by a string up on a tree. That bell kept jingling until I chewed the line and bingo he was running off like crazy. That was the first time I saw him. About a week later he was caught again. I made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I'd provide food and shelter if he'd watch my back. We've been inseparable since, but I think he found himself a bunny friend since he's been running off on me lately.

Hollyberry Pie

After some time of being with Kat, that's when Pallor came into the picture. On year in the fall, while Kat was off planting more seedlings I decided to make a pie as a surprise. Now mind you, I ain't that familiar with the kitchen or with anything else for that matter I'd picked what I thought was Horse Chestnut and baked.

Few hours later Kat comes back and she has some fresh legume, shots, and mushrooms. Boy was my appetite worked up after baking. I pulled out my pie and all I see is Kat looking around at the mess I'd made and she was upset. She finally spots my pie and the left over Holly Berries I'd left when out of nowhere she starts laughing. She is cracking up. I dunno what to think, but her laugh is infectious and I found myself laughing right along with her. I explained what I'd made and she explains the mistake I'd made. All I know is that she gave my pie life and now Pallor gives me grief when I attempt to make anything in the kitchen. He's always giving me the nom nom noises.
