A week in Seattle to see new sights. Rose, my owner, was really excited when her mom told her the news. She ran and got her Hello Kitty suitcase, heaving it up on the bed. Packing her clothing inside delicately, she told me of all the wonderful things she had heard about Seattle. Her story ended, and she plopped me on top her clothes and zipped the suitcase closed.

The plane touched down. We had arrived! After dropping off suitcases at the hotel, and Rose grabbing me, we went exploring. We went up the Space Needle. It was scary, but I was inside Rose's pocket where I was kept safe. You could see so much of Seattle! Back down on the ground we found the Gum Wall near the Pike Place Market. It was so gross. Rose threatened to stick me to the wall.

Rose was running back to the taxi with her mom when I fell out the pocket. She didn't notice, even with me yelling for her to get me. The taxi door closed. I was stranded, alone, in Seattle. Would I have to fend for myself in this big city?

She never did come back for me. Was she upset when she realized I wasn't in her pocket? Did she come looking for me, or was I quickly replaced with a new toy? These questions dance in my head when my mind drifts off.
