Fayviena the child, bore a strange resemblance to an animal, the tiger. Fayviena was teased mercilessly by her peers. And one day, she heard them whispering in the street. When she reached them, the mutterings stopped. Fayviena looked at them, wide-eyed, "what is is?" she asked, "why do you say nothing?"

"Is it true then Fayviena? Are you a witch?"

Witch! Her! She shook her head frantically. "No, you're mistaken. You're mistaken. I've never done anything magical in my entire life." That was a lie --she had done terrible things without meaning to. A flower her sister watered died after an argument. The neighbour's chickens that she cursed in the morning, woke up to their chickens dead.

"We'll come for you," they promised.

Fayviena did not believe them. That night, in the silence of her home, she heard her sister at her door. "Fayviena!" Annabel called, "you must go."

"Go?" Fayviena asked, "where do I go?"

Fayviena's sister held her face in her hands, staring into her amber eyes, "go away. They are coming for you. They expect you to be here. Use the back entrance. I will hold them off."

Fayviena asked no more questions. She did not pack anything, all her possessions remained inside her tiny room in the cottage. Down the way she went, out the back door, past the steps, past the huge stone well in the backyard. The tall girl hauled herself over the fence. Her eyes fell on the house. They had not seen her yet. Fayviena looked for Annabel but saw her not.

She stopped when she heard the voices behind her. They had spied her. Fayviena ran down the slope. towards the stream and the caves. At the caves she stopped, hearing the birds fluttering away, as though frightened by some sinister force behind her. Fayviena rushed into the cave. Bad things would happen now. They always did, where she was concerned. Fayviena looked at her hands, "give me light," she whispered. A burst of flame appeared in her hands, guiding the way.

She had only gone a few ways into the tunnel, when she heard the voices behind her. The yells. The mob, coming for her in the dark. Annabel --a great pain filled her. Annabel was dead or wounded, they had hurt her sister. They would regret this. Every single one of them. Fayviena summoned it, as much as she could and twisted it into huge shadow creatures to do her bidding.

"Go now,my sweets," she said. A delicious smile appeared on her face, "they want me dead, then I shall be dead." She stared at the wall, "there is nothing here for me now."

"I beg to differ m'lady," a voice said.

Fayviena turned. There, standing in the cave was a man wearing a top hat. He had long black hair and a moustache. Fayviena held her hand out, the fire. "I will kill you," she said, "do not think of me as having mercy."

"M'lady, I wish to teach, " he said, "not to hold you back."

The girl stared at him, uncertain. He did not look like how he she pictured a magician, a warlock of such. But then who was she to judge? Because of her appearance, they had deemed her a witch. Fayviena said nothing, the magician would remember. Instead she reached out and took his hand. He smiled to himself, before he cast a powerful spell over her quaint town.

Crops withered, huge boulders fell on houses, knocking off thatched roofs. Animals escaped their pens, and ran into the forest. And the huge fire came, burning the main city to the ground. "Fayviena!" they yelled, "Fayviena stop this nonsense!" But the girl was nowhere to be found. They searched her house, and found her sister Annabel scarcely breathing and took her to the infirmary. Still the fire burned, raging on, as though some force compelled it to continue. Many perished, many left the city, and when the fire finally let up and the rain fell, word came that they should not anger the witch any longer.

It was too late. Fayviena was in the clutches of the magician. "Witch!" he called her.
The witch's mouth curled into a smirk, "oh yes," she said, "and I think it's time we brought war to the town again, only this time, by more corruption. Not big fires, but by mental torture. I will take them down one by one, until they suffer as I have."

The venom in her voice was enough for the magician to teach her the darkest magic he knew. She succeeded again and again, until she grew stronger than even him. Now she can be found causing havoc in parts of Subeta, in manipulating people until she has harmed each and every single one of the ones who harmed her sister.
