⋆ Brief History ⋆
Makszi was born and raised in a small town outside of Łódź, a large city in central Poland, in 1910. He lived with his two brothers, Albin and Cibor, his mother, Henryka, and his father, Borys. Borys was only human, whereas Henryka was a Fae. Albin, Cibor, and Makszi were all born Fae like their mother.
His father, like his father's father before him, and countless other Wisniewski men before them, worked as a toy maker in the city, whilst his mother worked as a Healer. For generations the Wisniewksis had been one of the top toy makers in the country: Borys was no different and he taught his boys his craft while their mother taught them magic. While his younger brothers held no interest in either craft- Albin was more talented with literature, while Cibor preferred athletics- Makszi excelled in both arts, and by the time he was five, he was already helping his father in the shop.
They lived this way up until his 12th birthday when his father, at only fifty-five years old, had a heart attack and died.
His family was devastated by the loss, but none more so than his mother, who couldn't even stand to stay in the country her husband loved so much any longer. Henryka spent most of the family's fortune and relocated Makszi, Albin, Cibor and herself to America, a place where many of her family had found new beginings. With what little money was left from the move they bought a small farm with a few goats, some pigs, a cow and just enough land for a small vegetable garden. Henryka tried to get Makszi to give up on toy making, as it reminded her too much of Borys. She did her best to distract him; she gave him most of the chores and doubled up on his magic studies. Makszi, however, refused to give up his craft.
At 18, Makszi left home. He took with him his tools, some clothes, and the books in which he wrote down all he'd learned about sorcery and toy making and left only a note for his family, saying he'd return when he could. Like many 18 year olds, he was confident that with his skills he could make it in the world, but he soon realized that it wouldn't be as easy as he had thought. He had no money to his name and, at the time, could hardly speak a world of English. It was hard to find a place to work with his limited vocabulary, and even harder to find a place to live.

⋆ Appearance ⋆Dresses in a very formal, old-fashioned manner, usually in neutral browns and creams paired with one brighter color. He always wears tool belts full of sewing supplies and magically charged crystals, and is generally seen wearing a hat to cover up his ears. His wolf’s ears are pale blue in color; half of one ear is missing. His tail matches in color. Hair is messy and short, auburn brown. Brown eyes obscured behind small glasses worn on a chain around his neck. His right arm is missing and replaced by a carefully crafted, enchanted toy arm stitched from soft deer-hide, carefully dyed to match his own skin tone(although the pale blue threads he used to stitch it together are quite noticeable).
