Nostalgic DevontiThe evening sort of seeped into her skin. Not knowing what this feeling was, she twirled around only to have darkness meet her face.
Beneath the street's lamppost she waited, clutching onto herself to brace the cold as the wind drifted about her.
The moon: her only light. She stood and closed her eyes.
"Where is he?" she thought to herself, pulling her cardigan over her snugly.
The clock chimed twelve. It was far past the time when she should have left.
The cobblestone street had tiny streams of black glass running around each stone.
She headed home on that path, her heels clicking and clacking over the dark rocks.
Shh. Quiet. All was still.
A hand reached out suddenly and planted onto the front of her face.
A muffled shriek disparate into the muddy fingers.
A van rolled up beside her as she struggled with the brutish man, flailing her legs about wildly, clawing the face of her assailant.
But it was no use.
The door to the van slid shut, and she disappeared.
