The sterile light of the halogen spotlight glinted on the very sharp looking blade in Skinner's hand. His counterpart, strapped to the chair took a quick glance around the spartan furnished room. Tiled white walls, a plain gray floor along with a wooden chair, where he was sitting on and a small metal table with some unrecognizable things onto it seemed to be all. His counterpart didn't know where he was and especially why he was here. He looked at Skinner, who was standing in front of him, as if he tried to recognize him but he couldn't. Skinner wore a white half-faced mask so he could only see a part of his face. Skinner was a professional in his field but he didn't want to risk anything. The tied man tried to ask what all of this was about when he realized he wasn't just bound but also gagged. Skinner didn't even bother to remove it.
"First", Skinner held up his hand and showed his counterpart his index finger. "I bet you are wondering why you are here, right? The truth is, you don't know me and I don't know you but you do have some very important information and I get paid to get them from you."
The other man looked at him bewildered.
"Second", he held up his middle finger. "I hate liars! If you lie to me, I'll notice this and you'll get to suffer some more for it."
His counterpart paled and looked up at him, with terror-stricken eyes.
"And third", he showed him his ring finger. "I am very good in my job. You maybe think, dying would be better than telling me what I want to know but let me tell you something, until now I managed to break every single person I got charged for and you aren't going to be an exception. Some things are more worse than death and you are soon going to realize this."
Skinner leaned over him and shoved the sharp blade of the scalpel into his eyesight.
"The human body is a very complex system. You can get hit by a car and die instantly when any vital organs are hit but if you do it slowly...", Skinner pushed the blade against the other mans cheek but not enough to cut trough the thin skin. "When you know which body parts you can hurt so the person won't die, you can make them suffer for a very long time."
Skinner made a shallow cut and instantly blood began to pour from the wound. The red liquid ran down the other mans cheek. The stench of fear filled the room which made Skinner grin sadistic.
"But there is a glimmer of light for you. If you tell me the truth, I won't kill you... Well, unless my clients wants me to, of course. To be honest, I really have no problem killing you but only after you tell me, what I want to know."
With a evil grin Skinner moved the scalpel a fraction and applied some pressure. The other mans screams where muffled by the gag in his mouth. Skinner would remove it eventually but he needed to make sure the other man knew what would happen if he didn't tell him the truth. It wouldn't hurt him if he know, what Skinner was capable of doing if he didn't do as Skinner wanted.
"Won't hurt him", Skinner thought to himself, chuckling.
