The Great God Apollo, in all his wisdom chose to grant the gift of prophecy to a young, especially devoted woman. She was able to foresee events great and small. She used her gift to help people and became the Oracle of Delphi. Later in her life she had children and discovered that her prophetic gift was passed down unto her eldest, her daughter, Apollonia. Thus it was that all eldest children descended from the Oracle were given the gift of prophecy. Incidentally all the eldest children were always female, that is, until Tabor was born

First male born to family of oracles who's ancestry dates back to the Oracle of Delphi, gift was only supposed to be for females. His visions are completely random and only show him bad things (like when someone will die or if they get heartbroken). He also has a hard time not blurting out exactly whats going to happen, which makes for some awkward conversations with strangers.
