Isca stretched her arms and spread her wings to soak in the sun light. What a lovely day. The sun was shining and not a cloud in sight!It was hard to believe that just yesterday Krypt tried to destroy half the glades using a tornado! Well, that was yesterday, and today was… "Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Help! Krypt is attacking Centropolis!" And today it was Centropolis… She dispatched a Bumbus to each of the seven lands of Subeta where her friends resided, calling on them to aid her. Evangeline of the Peka Glade was in the middle of a nectar party with the butterflies when she got the news and had to excuse herself.Frankie of Shadowglen hurriedly sewed her arm back on and hoped the stitches would hold throughout the battle this time.Twilight of Riverside was atop the recycling heap admiring the sky and writing poetry. She gave her new poem to the recycling beast to read before rushing of to do her part.Chiyo of the sacred land was deep into prayers at the secluded shrine and gracefully ended the morning ritual before fluttering off to Centropolis. Delia of Darkside rushed to get her neighbor, Gale, upon hearing the news. She moved so quietly among the shadows that she startled the Dark matter fairy into almost blowing up all of Darkside... again… She ended up apologizing throughout their flight to the City!Katanya the bloodred of Omen Island was on her usual stool at the Rathskeller Inn and quickly chugged down her ale before rushing of to battle.The fairies all gathered around Isca and traced the path of destruction Krypt left behind until they reached city hall.Isca expected to see one of Krypt's henchmen or some magical puppet he designed; it was very unusual to see him doing the actual work himself. "What is he scheming this time? There's no way he'd come at us directly unless…""I was expecting you, my dear Isca. I hope you had slept well last night." Krypt's grin was most unsettling. Sensing the presence of dark magic, Delia went into full alert and shielded them all from his attacks. Isca just could not take any chances. She fluttered up high and asked the others to focus all of their magic on her. She closed her eyes and felt their energy wash over her. Then her eyes flew open and she released all that power in one mighty blow that knocked Krypt clean of his feet and straight through the wall. She was surprised at the amount of magic that came out of her. After all it was but a day since their last encounter with one of Krypt's schemes and she had only hoped to scare him off, not injure him so greatly! She looked back at her friends but they all had that same surprised look on their faces, they weren't even tired after giving her so much of their magic! Krypt took advantage of their hesitation; he picked himself up and fled back to his castle. His wings seemed to barely be able to carry him.Katanya attempted to chase him but Isca stopped her. "No. this is not the way, Katanya. Let him go."Katanya shook her off violently "But this is our chance! For once we got him; we can end it all right now!" Isca motioned around her to the ruins of city hall and the innocent people that were injured during Krypt's attack. Katanya chewed on her lower lip in frustration and looked back at Krypt's retreating figure. Isca placed her hand on her friend's shoulder. There was a lot of re-building to be done and the injured needed their help. That's what they've sworn to do. To Help and protect now and forever. Her smile deflated Katanya's blood lust and the two rejoined the group and started to divide the after battle tasks between them.
