Cruedre is Fero's exorcised nightmare personified.

Driven to near madness by lack of sleep and horrific bouts of recurring dreams after a tragic incident with the unliving, exhausted Fero sought the help of Shinwa. However, the Goddess of Light had no time for a shaking, rambling supplicant who had nothing to offer her. Fero, incensed by his cold treatment and impaired by fatigue, travelled to Darkside. There he found Maleria. The Dark Goddess agreed to draw the poisonous dreams from Fero's mind in exchange for favour she could call at any time. Fero knew her price would in reality be much higher, but he was desperate, and so entered the bargain. Thus Cruedre came to being.

Unlike Fero's other pets, Cruedre is not a source of joy. She moves constantly right at the edge of Fero's vision, inky half-there form always a reminder of terrible times. Perhaps some day she will no longer set his heart hammering, but for now Cruedre is still a companion only because he cannot get rid of her.
