THIS IS NOT FINISHED, SORRY FOR THE FUGLY!
Human Form:

Mutant/Monster Form:

Most detectives have nothing to hide.
They are the ones revealing hidden secrets, unraveling messes of mystery, and discovering the truth in every lie.
Well I'm not like most detectives...
Working for an undercover agency doesn't help all that much either. When even the ones you work for are keeping a close eye on you, there's no room for mistake.
With this place, every detective only works one hundred jobs in their career...if they can make it that long.
One hundred.
That's it. The End.
No more, no less.
Why?
Psychological tests have revealed that in this line of business one's mind can't handle much more than that. Unfortunately, this was discovered after we lost a few men to some pretty bad break downs... leading to suicides.
What this means is that some agents retire sooner than others. They all want to hold on; stay as long as they can.
It becomes an addiction.
The thrill of finding the answer to close a case. It's an adrenaline rush. Of course, some cases stick with you for life. Those are the ones you have to be careful with. They'll drive you mad before you even reach your one hundred.
Me... well, I'm on Job 93. Only seven more 'til I'm done. It's bitter sweet. How I even got led to this job seems like some wild goose chase, ya know?
Like falling down the rabbit hole.
That's the funny thing about some of these cases, they develop and turn into three or more jobs which all add up and are taken away from your final one hundred.
I mean, look at me. It took 92 jobs to solve seventeen cases. Seventeen cases. That's not many to you or me, but to close a case is a big deal.
Yea, you think the math isn't right on that?
Well, it is. See, cases can overflow into one another. They become connected into a giant spider web. It's like if you step on one string here, a string over there will vibrate and it sends a wave throughout the grid affecting all of your future cases and it may also clear up some of your past ones.
I'm hoping Job 93 will answer a few questions from Jobs 22 and 74.
So you want to know what kinds of cases I'm talking about, huh?
The unexplainable kind...
You know, the little boy down the street is missing. They think it was a kidnapping, but he always told his friend Jimmy there was a monster under his bed.
What Jimmy doesn't know is that sometimes... there is.
But the parents don't believe it, and no one has ever seen it, so they cast it off as another kidnapping case.
Then everyone gets all fussed up over some non-existant kidnapper who then is assumed to be a murderer since the boy doesn't show up for weeks. And suspicions arise and people start going against eachother claiming the other one must be the kidnapper. We're all so eager to find the person hiding the monster within.
Well,I should know all about monsters...
I mean, I've dealt with ravenous werewolves, rogue vampires, demon possesions, vengeful spirits, stolen artifacts, and I've rescued a kitten from a tree... twice.
Needless to say, I've gotten a bit of experience with the strange. Familiarized myself with the unbelievable.
I'm sorry, did you say you missed my name?
It's Rash. Rash Thomas.
I know, it doesn't sound like the usual Brad or Trent. Let's just say I've earned it.
Memoirs of Past Jobs
If only he could bottle up all his memories of favored cases and store them away on a shelf to later re-visit, he would.
