Welcome to C&K's Candy Corn Shop! Here you will find every variety of candy corn we have ever made! My name is Curri, one of the owners and today I'll be guiding you on this tour of the factory.

Let's start with a bit of knowledge.
Did you know that Candy Corn was first created in the late 1800s?
That it was made to look like a kernel of corn, but was approximately 3 times the size of a kernel of corn?
That it is made of sugar, corn syrup, wax, colorings and binders?

Here at C&K's, we use the corn starch molding process to make our candy corn. By hand ... not machine, I might add! That's right, every piece of candy that leaves this factory was made by hand. Isn't that lovely?

It was a guided tour that started off as innocently and simple as any other tour till the group noticed just how clumsy Curri was. It seemed that everything he touched, he either spilled or dropped.

He stopped at one area to show them the trays of molds, and dropped a stack of molds on the floor. While trying to pick them up, some went flying out of his hands towards the tour guests. He bumped heads with one guest that tried to help him with the molds. The corn starch in the trays of mold dusted the entire group of tour guests. It looked as if it were snowing. He tried to help dust them off but didn't have much luck, he just seemed to make it worse.

When he stopped at another area to show them the pots of marshmallow fondant goodness that makes up the 3 layers of candy corn. He dropped a pot of the bright orange slurry goodness on the floor. As he tried to clean it up, he splashed it onto a few of their shoes. He had strings of the slurry goodness stuck on his paws. When he reached for some towels, he left little prints everywhere.

As they reached another section of the room, Curri was trying to explain the cooling tables when he knocked over a box of freshly finished candy corn. Those little kernels went flying across the room hitting a lot of the tour guests and bouncing around on the floor. Some of the guests laughed and some of the guests gasped.

That was when Kenley came through the door. Oh my goodness she said, I was wondering what happened to my next tour! I see you've met my co-owner, Curri. He isn't supposed to do the tours, for reasons I am sure you've all just witnessed. Don't worry, I'm here to help with the rest of the tour ... and make sure no one gets harmed! Curri's head dropped and he seemed to be a bit sad. All he wanted was to help Kenley with a tour. Kenley took his hand and said, Let's do the rest of this one together. A smile appeared on Curri's face and the tour guests all smiled as well.

As they finished their tour, Kenley brought them to a large glass room. She giggled as she tried to explain what the room was. This room that you see here is our mistakes room! As you can imagine, not all of our candy corn comes out perfect. So we put all the mistakes in here. Just as Kenley paused, Curri said I make most of the mistakes. But Kenley doesn't mind. She loves candy corn as much as I do! Kenley just smiled and hugged Curri.

And with that, the tour had ended. The guests grabbed up their free candy corn treats and headed out the door. And Kenley and Curri went back to work on making more candy corn.
