Relationship with Hiraken
Thymele and Hiraken are not a "couple" where they are all lovey-dovey and such but they do stick together as they were thrown out of the lab around the same time. They survived being abandoned in The Darkside together and together they both saved up enough money to leave. Needless to say they are very close and are very protective of each other. They live in the same small apartment in Centropolis and get along fairly well. Thymele would like more in their relationship but Hiraken is too thick-headed to see that. Unfortunately for her, his thick-headedness is one of the qualities that endears him to her.
Backstory
Hiraken and herself were both failed (and therefore unwanted) experiments. They were tossed out into the world of Subeta with no home and no money. However, by the both of them using their odd strengths, they were able to save up enough money to travel away from The Darkside and move to Centropolis, albeit the less prominent area of Centropolis.
Due to her blindness, Thymele's other senses are very well developed. Her sense of smell is especially keen and allows her to remember people by their unique scent, not only that but her ability to distinguish between smells allows her to be an excellent "lie detector", a food tester and a "person-locator". Oddly enough, she was able to get jobs that paid well in all of these areas.
She is able to detect lies because in a normal person, the sweat production increases when they begin to lie and sweat has a very distinct smell. Not only that, but if her surroundings are quiet enough, she is able to hear the increase in the person's heart rate as they lie. The law enforcement departments were very grateful to find and hire her many times when they needed to interrogate criminals that just wouldn't crack.
Being a food tester sounds, extremely boring but it's not as bad as one would think. There are many important officials in Centropolis that are threatened by attacks on their life, most of which come from deadly poison being sneaked into their food. All Thymele has to do is sit at each meal and inspect (i.e. smell) each dish to make sure it is clean of poisons, toxins and the like. It pays well and is extremely easy. It is probably one of Thymele's favorite employment areas.
And of course, there is always a missing person's case that needs solving. If the person missing has been taken outside of Centropolis, then there isn't much that Thymele can do. She can't find a person accurately enough by smell in such a large area as Centropolis as it is, she usually has to wander the streets and hope to run into the scent. She isn't willing to leave the city to find one person and go on a hunt. . .unless it's for the right amount of money. She has to make a living after all.
