It was hard to imagine Alexandra as being as tough as nails and ready to fight as she was, but she could fight with the best of them when she wanted to. Her father had taught her hand to hand combat, and how to use a pistol, a necessity in foreign lands where oftentimes being a woman posed a danger and where, her father had oftentimes been unable to protect her. The bullwhip she carried by her side at all times had been a gift from her father before his passing. She was slight, just barely topping 5'3" and with long straight black hair that at the moment was pulled up away from her face. She was going to have to cut it eventually, but for now she usually just had it in a braided bun that she put up on top of her head. She had often been described as cute, more than likely due to her large green eyes and small button nose, but her appearance had proven useful a couple times. Most of the time, people did not expect a woman of her appearance as capable of cursing or fighting as well as she did.
Alexandra's father had been an archaeologist, one of great repute in the archeological world. And there was an expectation now that she had taken over his work that she was to follow in his footsteps. Still, she mused as she looked over the great expanse of desert before her, finding the scrolls that had eluded her father before his death were proving to be a lot harder to find than she expected. Plus, the native workers that she had contracted kept muttering about some ancient curse and that the tomb that they were currently excavating was haunted. She had yet to find anything that warranted any such mundane and inane thing as a curse though.
It was also just extremely hot and she was getting burned to a crisp in this weather, and well, she had a deadline. She had heard that the Nazis were interested in the scrolls as well and the British government had given her a deadline to find the scrolls. They apparently did not want the scrolls to be in the Nazi's hands either, as they believed that the Nazis, upon finding the information, would more than likely have it destroyed. She had no wish to have the information that she had worked so tirelessly to find end up destroyed and so, she urged her workers to work faster, to find faster, but still they unearthed nothing.
It was in the dark recesses of an area of the network of tunnels within the tomb that she had not initially thought to explore that she finally found the scrolls. One of the workers had found it entirely by accident and she was glad that they had found it. She was getting sick of the heat in this godforsaken place and quite frankly, wanted to go back to Britain and enjoy a nice cup of tea. She had found the available resources when it came to tea and other food amenities severely lacking in the foreign country she was currently in.
