Notes for self: Darian (temporary name) is quick-tempered, immature, irresponsible, and at most times a jokester who fails to take things seriously. This attitude eventually led to the dismissal of his occupancy as an assistant in the Seventh circle, to which he did not react agreeably. Because of his outbursts and temper tantrums, Wies, who already held a grudge against him for turning down her advances, took the opportunity to exile him to the living realm for disobeying orders, a crime usually punished by death. To be exiled was infinitely more insulting, since most demons are of the opinion that death would be preferable to having to mingle with simple-minded humans.
After a bit of confusion in the unfamiliar world, Darian runs into a long-forgotten family acquaintance named Mason, and the older bedraggled demon shows him to the bar Paradiso, owned by Braeden. He and Darian clash at most times due to the fact that their personalities are polar opposites, and the bar's regular patrons wonder why Braeden lets him hang around so much, considering the amount of damage he causes by frequently lighting things on fire.
But Braeden is simply lonely, and both of them know that Darian is too impulsive and reckless to be left on his own, so they put up with each other out of necessity.
