Hmph, it's not like I did anything wrong anyway. I just helped that poor lost soul find the light. She looked so poor and helpless I simply couldn't not intervene. Shinwa'd told me countless of times that we are not to mess with fate and that each mortal should find their own path in life, but well, she was the one who came begging onto my doorstep. And it wasn't like I changed anything, did I? Perhaps I did a little rescheduling, but we all know you can't cheat death.
So now I'm stuck in this dreaded tent forever, doomed to eating the horrible food she sends me occasionally. It's not very pleasant, but I get by, because what Shinwa will never know is that the barrier prevents me from going out, but not others from getting in. Clever, isn't it? Well, originally the barrier prevented everyone inside from getting out and anyone outside from getting in, but lets just say I found a kink in the spell. I have my own ways too, you know. My abilities aren't as powerful as hers, but they're good enough.
Oh, you must be wondering what happened to that poor girl who came and begged me for help. She had a husband, you know. Her husband cheated on her with one of their maids, and she was such a messed wreck. I felt horrible, and she was asking, very, very, desperately. What could I do? I can be kind when I want to, so I invited her in, gave her a cup of ginger tea and offered her biscuits. She told me she heard I had a special way of changing people's fates, something to do with tarot cards. Oh, and I do. If you pick the right card, you can get riches and perhaps even find love. If you pick the wrong card, however... well, let's just use that pitiful lady as an example. A day after her visit, I heard she got hit by a bus. Uh-oh. Not very pleasant, is it?
Ah, I see your eyes boiling with curiosity. Well, it can't be helped. Its a natural instinct, curiosity, to all species. Like a drug. We all know how bad it is, yet we do it anyway, ignoring the tiny voice in our head that yells, Stop! No one ever liked that tiny voice anyway. I banished it from my head long ago. Wouldn't you like to do that too? Don't be shy.
Well, go ahead.
Pick a card, why don't you?
