Miku was walking down the street, her long blonde hair flowing down around her pulled back in her usual pigtails. They seemed to bounce a bit with each step as she seemed to be a little excited, she was on her way to the shopping district that had that little cafe she really liked. She was giggling to herself outloud which caught her a few weird looks from those passing her by, she didn't seem to notice though as she thought about how great that cake was going to taste. It wasn't often that she had some spare time to be able to come out here, which only added to her excitement.

Finally she had reached her destination, she looked around curiously as she entered the little cafe, her face brightening as she saw her favorite waitress. She gave a happy wave as she went on over to a booth nearby the front of the shoppe. She loved to sit at the windows that lined the streets so she could watch all the people walking by.

As she was settling into her seat watching outside, she began to giggle as she looked over to see the waitress setting down a large slice of strawberry shortcake, a vanilla milkshake alongside it. "You know me too well." she said with a bit of a laugh to the waitress who smiled warmly. "I haven't seen you in here for a little while." she said to Miku who nodded a bit. "Ya, I've been a little busy with work." she said, pausing for a moment as she recalled the last time she had been here. "Hey how is your daughter doing? She isn't still in the hospital is she?" she said with concern to the waitress who smiled at being asked. "Miyu actually came home over the weekend, she has been doing pretty good these last few days. No more fevers." Miku was really happy to hear that as she dug into the first bite of her cake, her eye's lighting up as she said "MMMM!!" really loudly making the waitress burst into giggles as she walked off to tend to other customers.

A short bit of time passed as she had long since finished that delicious cake and took the last sips of her milkshake, her gaze fixed on the people who were walking back and forth. They all seemed so happy, some smiling, laughing, chatting with whoever they were with. She sighed to herself a little as she watched, looking over to the table infront of her as a bright shimmering light caught her attention. "Awww ya found me." she said playfully to the little sprite that formed in the light, it giggled and blushed as it held out a letter that looked a bit large in the little sprites hands. "kwiiii" it said to her as it held it out to her, as she took it she paused for a moment noticing a man standing by the door of the cafe watching , he stood there fully covered in a long hooded white robe, all that could be really seen were his blue eyes that almost seemed to glow as he watched her in silence.

She stared at him hesitantly for a moment, the letter still in her hand. It was obvious she recognized him but her reactions to him standing there showed that his presence was not very common. She was about to question him when she heard the waitress had returned to her table, Miku's eye's widened with horror as she heard the woman's words. "Ww.w.ww.hatt is that thing?!?!". Miku quickly looked back to the man who finally spoke to her, though he was so far across the room his voice could be heard so clearly. He had such a deep, emotionless voice that held a sense of wisdom and clarity. "It is inevitable, Miku."

Miku was shaking her head back and forth no as her eye's teared up as she knew the little sprite was a messenger of death. Humans could usually not see her, unless they were about to die. Miku quickly opened the letter and began to read, ignoring the woman who was still freaking out alongside her. The little sprite looked to the woman and then over to the hooded figure. "Kwii." it finally said again, giving Miku's hand a little poke as it seemed to jump up into the air a pulse of light forming again as it disappeared.

As she finished reading she looked up again though the man that had been standing there had disappeared, her eye's were filled with tears now as her attention finally returned to the woman who had quieted down but was still clearly upset and confused. "I would tell you to run ... " Miku said softly, her voice sounded so sad as she wiped the tears from her eyes. Though she was speaking to the woman, she was gazing down at the floor. Her voice sounded so distant as though she was speaking simply to voice it outloud. "But it would matter little... as you cannot escape death." her eye's narrowed as she turned to look towards the window just as a car came crashing through it.

As the smoke that filled the room began to subside, Miku could be seen standing next to the body of the waitress that had been thrown across the cafe from the force of being hit by the car. Her eye's were filled with tears though she quickly wiped them away. She had to compose herself though she was having a bit of trouble. She had done this so many times before but it was harder this time, knowing this woman. Witnessing her death. She finally snapped out of it, taking a long deep breathe as she could hear the waitress groaning a little as she began to stand.

The woman looked around with confusion at the destruction around her, the car was smoking and there was glass everywhere. It took her a moment to realize as she looked at the bodies that laid lifeless around the room that she stood in the spot where her body was. She shook her head with disbelief as she choked out the word "No!" her eye's widening as she saw Miku standing there. Miku's eye's reflected a certain sadness as she smiled weakly. "Hello Hannah. " she said softly. "I'm afraid your time in this world has come to an end. " Hannah stood there just shaking her head back and forth, her gaze darting all around the room as she was overwhelmed by this at the moment before she looked back to Miku. "But... but Miyu needs me.. " she began to cry at the thought of her daughter. Her daughter who had just fought such a terrible sickness and won only to have her mother killed some days later after she recovers?

As Miku stood there it took all she had inside of her to prevent herself from crying, she had to be strong. It was her duty to guide this soul to the next world. She slowly kneeled down alongside her, pulling Hannah into a hug. "I am so sorry... " she whispered to Hannah who buried herself in Miku's hair and just cried. Miku closed her eye's as she sat there, she would do all she could to help soothe this poor soul.
