Arden Silverfall grew up in the small country village of Nibelhiem, where she spent some of the best and most tragic years of her life. Although her father had been too engrossed with his work to pay much attention to his family, young Arden Silvefall did not grow up without a father figure; her uncle had always been there for her for as long as she could remember. It wasn't until after the death of her mother (due to illness) however, that the two became an inseparable pair.

Yet like all good things, Arden had to leave Nibelhiem behind, and with it, the blissful memories of her childhood. It was not long, however, until she found herself (by a strange turn of events) shanghaied into Shinra's scientific department and trust unwillingly into a series of experiments. The notorious scientist Hojo, who had been responsible for ruining so many lives in the past, had realized that he was growing old; he was not yet ready to leave behind this mortal world and his wonderful work behind. What better way to continue destroying people's lives than to immortalize himself?

And halting the aging process, along with immortalizing himself, was just what the crazed scientist intended to do. But he could not possibly test out all of those dangerous experiments on himself--oh no. That is what other people are for. Unfortunately, Arden Silverfall happened to be one of those people...

She managed to escape the laboratory, but only in the strangest fashion--another experiment had decided to make his escape on that very same day, and it was he who gave Arden the means of regaining her freedom... Despite the fact that he had helped her, Arden soon grew to realize that her "savior" was perhaps one of the most dangerous people alive. Arden spent the next five years tirelessly searching for this particular experiment in hopes of stopping him before it was too late...
