Info

Mac was fixing the engine on one of the airplanes that belonged to the village. It wasn't very glamorous work but man was it satisfying. Not as satisfying as flying the thing, mind you. But good enough for now, and it needed to be done either way. His mind had a tendency to wander when he did this kind of work though. It always brought his mind back to his younger years. When in his twenties he had been in the air force. He'd had a friend then that was lost to him now. It wasn't the first time he'd wondered what would have been if things had turned out differently if he hadn't gone for the joyride that night. His friend had told him not to do it, although that had been because he'd been afraid Mac would get caught flying one of the air force planes when he wasn't supposed to. What had happened had been something completely different.
Mac remembered it like it was yesterday. He'd been flying around aimlessly. Doing a few stunts here and there simply for the fun of it. Then he'd decided to go out in space. The machines were built for that kind of stuff after all. He'd continued on his aimless flight. He had no idea how long he flew around like that, all he knew was that he decided to have some fun using the warp drive. He'd never used it before and was itching to try it out. What awaited him when he came out of warp wasn't something he'd ever thought he'd see. And especially not this close. In front of him was a black hole. And unfortunately for him he'd arrived too close to the event horizon and was now being sucked in. All he could remember after that was trying his hardest to get away, to no avail. What happened after that was a blank. Next thing he knew he woke up in an infirmary, feeling very weak and disoriented. The doctor went on to tell him that he'd been found at the foot of one of the mountains and had been brought here. And here had been an underground rebel camp. It had been a few years before he even knew his own name, let alone what had happened to him. The doctor had been astonished by what had happened to his body, which was aging at a much slower rate than normal. It was hardly aging at all in fact. After finding out he's survived a black hole the doctor had wanted to run a bunch of tests, but before he could do them all the fighting ramped up and Mac had had no time for tests.
-"Daydreaming about the good old days again, huh Mac?" He was brought back to reality by the voice of one of his closest friends nowadays. He turned his head to look at her. She was certainly a sight to behold. At 30 years of age Bordeaux had the body of a goddess. She knew it too. Too bad her temper wasn't all that great though. Her red hair fit her perfectly when it came to that. Her hair and her temper were equally fiery.
-"Why hello there, Bordeaux. As it happens I was actually daydreaming about you." He shot her one of his more dazzling smiles, and gave her a flirty wink.
-"Knowing you that might be true too." She walked over to him and looked over his shoulder at the engine he was working on. "Getting any closer to fixing it?"
-"Think so. Won't know until we try starting her though." He turned his attention back to the engine. "Whoa!" He yelped as Bordeaux grabbed his behind. He wasn't really surprised that she'd done it, he just hadn't prepared himself for it.
-"Don't be so surprised. You know I like yours." She said in an innocent voice as she walked around to the other side of the engine. Standing there she gave him a seductive yet still innocent smile as she leaned onto and over the engine so that he would have a clear view down the cleavage of her tied up flannel shirt. Mac swallowed hard as he was trying to fight the urge to look at what she was showing him. It was not going well. "Problem, Mac?" She said in a coy voice. He gave her a smile.
-"Not at all. Why would I have a problem?" As he said that he prayed that she'd stay on that side of the plane or else that he'd be able to hide his current problem if she chose to come around again. Thankfully her cell phone started ringing just then. She fished it out of her pocket and looked at the display.
-"Ah, I should head back. I think I'm needed elsewhere." She looked him right in the eye as she walked back around the airplane again. After an almost unnoticeable look down she gave him a smile as she walked behind him and pressed herself against his back. Her lips were right next to his right ear as she whispered. "Hold that thought though 'til I get back" And with those words she kissed his neck lightly and then she walked out of the hangar.
-"Oh god, that was...awkward to say the least." He said as he dared to breathe again. He knew Bordeaux really liked him. His looks at least, which he couldn't blame her for. But this? This had been different than anything she'd done before. It had been like she'd been on the prowl. And he'd been the prey.
They'd been friends a long time, Bordeaux and him. She'd been in the rebel camp he'd been brought to. Later on they'd ended up in the same unit, with him being the superior officer. Their relationship towards one another had always been friendly as well as professional. So the way she'd been acting today was strange. It was common for her to act that way towards other guys, but not towards him. As he continued working on the engine he tried to make heads or tails of what had happened. By the time he'd finished he was still as confused as before. He decided it was time to head home and maybe have a shot of whiskey.

-"Ah, that hit the spot!" He exclaimed as he put the glass down. Whiskey always helped him clear his mind. He had another glass before he went to the bathroom.
There was a knock on the door as he was getting out of the shower. He cursed whoever it was that had to come at this very moment. He wrapped a towel around his waist and went to the door. On the other side was Bordeaux. She was wearing a coat that reached halfway down her thighs. Below that she had on a pair of those thigh-high boots she liked so much.
-"Mm, what a nice welcome." She said as she looked him over with hungry eyes. He could almost feel her removing the towel with those eyes. "Aren't you going to invite me in?"
-"I...I'm not sure that'd be such a good idea."
-"Oh, but I'm starting to get so cold." As she said that she loosened the coat's belt and let the coat slip open just enough for him to realize that she wasn't wearing anything underneath. As he was trying to get a grip on what he'd just seen she slipped through the door and closed it behind her.
