Acajou had loved games for as far back as she could remember. It did not matter which game, whether it was beating Bonsey, or Calvin Blackmoon at their own games, or beating down monsters in the Battledome, she loved it all. Unfortunately, she was not a champion at any game because she divided her time training for all of them. She did not care though, because it was so much more fun playing them all than just concentrating all her time and energy on only one or two.

Acajou enjoyed going to flea markets and looking for items that she could put in her treasure chest. Her first love was finding items that represented the games she loved to play. She also put her gaming gear in her treasure chest, dice, counters, cards, and various other games.

Another of her pastimes was reading. She would read anything, dictionaries, encyclopedias, even all the information on her box of morning cereal. Her favourites include both reading and games, like 76 Card Games, Arcane Spellbook, Collecting Cards, Game Master Screen and Omen Raiders Strategy Guide. Acajou also loved science and science fiction and really enjoyed reading: Almost Metal Scientist, Build Your Own Spaceship, Extraterrestrial Life Forms, Time Travel I and II. Bookcase for Acajou.

Acajou had a terrible time at EPICon. The constant fighting between Manwar and Nico consumed her. Who to support? She loved card games and table games, but really enjoyed video games as well. She played both, she wanted to support both. After much agonizing she decided to place her support behind Manwar, since he seemed to have a little less overall support and she wanted to even things out. She really enjoyed the rest of the Con, seeing all the costumes and voting for her favourites. The shopping was spectacular and she managed to acquire quite a few new things for her treasure chest. Nor could she get enough of playing Mazes and Mahars, the strategy was intense but she caught on quickly, her only complaint being that she often won too fast and would have to wait for her next chance to play.

As a young lasirus, Acajou used to eat only Oofa Fruit. Many times she was startled to find an insect in one of her fruit. While at first this caused her some distress, she soon grew used to it. Meals became boring, even the occasional insect no longer added spice to her meal times. She decided to vary her diet, from time to time eating a Black Candy Bar. Unfortunately, they were not very good. Finally, she made the decision to get really adventurous and decided that, like Pete, she would try every single Subetan and Atebus food. She has barely began her gourmand adventure and already she has eaten some very questionable items, like Booger Fruit, Earwax Zombie Zaliva, Fleshy Mass and Gross Black Leech Pizza. She still had not got up the gumption to eat the Shiny Small Phone, though both the Arid Coffee Pot and Mini Coffee Blender had been pleasantly crunchy. Skitters little boxes, however, had been filled with absolutely delicious pastries and cookies, plus the enigmatic code had been fun to figure out. Acajou had to start keeping a list of the foods she had already tried, because she kept losing track, especially after sampling some of the ales.

One day Acajou was strolling through the Peka Glade waiting for the Tile Monger to let her play again when she came across a newborn Common Lasirus. She searched far and wide for its parents. Not finding them, and very late for her next try at the Tiles, she gathered up the baby and decided she would search for its parents later.

The next morning she checked the Subeta Tribune for an article on a missing baby, and finding nothing she became quite angry at the neglectful parents. She decided to take the baby to the Healer in Riverside Valley to make sure it was all right. Once there, after a bit of confusion, the Healer informed Acajou that her "baby" was actually a full-grown Bahnty. Laughing at her silly mistake, Acajou decided the keep the little pet, having grown rather attached in the short time she had been caring for it.
