When I'm together with him everything feels soft and sweet, like a peach. Refreshening like a flowing river, washing away my sorrows and fears. Like a soft breeze on my bare skin that lets me forget who I am or should be and lets me be the one I want to be.

We meet each year in spring, in a little peach garden in an unknown town. Not really unknown, but actually 'hidden' from the knowledge of our masters. His and my master are enemies; and normally I live only to please my master, to fulfill every single of his wishes, but not when it comes to love.

It is not a sin or a crime to love a man; but in fact it's something similar if I keep in mind that we normally should hate each other, but I can't help myself - I love the enemy, or better said: the enemy's advisor. And to make it even worse, he's a mortal.

It's a tragedy to know that it could cost my life if someone would find out about our secret affair, even if it only lasts one day and night each year, but as my master's tactician, strategist and advisor I don't do him a favor on that day - I betray him, to be exactly. I can't help myself, but it hurts me to know that I'm not completely loyal and honest to him, whom I normally call my best friend, but only because of that feeling I can't shove my love for him aside.

Two Yang create a destructive relationship, my old mentor told me long ago when I was still a little boy, I did not understand the true meaning behind his words, and over the years I forgot about them - but now I do. Me and my lover, we are two Yang, and it kills me from the inside. It destroys me - but I just can't let it go, the feeling of love and understanding that I have at least once in a year gives me the proof that it can't be that bad to love him. To feel him.

I know that everything will turn out good in the end, while I abandon myself one more time to him, for the last time this year until we meet again...

Additional facts:

Taka is a high-elf from the land L'draess; a land similar to the ancient China of the real world; and the advisor and best friend of the king. Proud, noble, dignified and wise, he's capable of various dragon languages and magic: wind magic and healing, especially. Known by his race as visionary, but actually he can't force himself to see into the future, the visions come by themselves as short daydreams, without Taka doing anything to trigger it.

A few years ago he has been a prisoner of the worst enemy of his master, king Haakon from the land Tanoras. But when he noticed the king's advisor Tyr fell in love with him, Taka seduced him to get a chance to flee, but while doing so he fell in love with the mortal man himself. With the help of Tyr, who already was Taka's lover and secret affair, he was able to escape and return back to his homeland. Knowing that his race would despise him for dishonoring himself by sleeping with a mortal and to make it even worse, to love him, he keeps everything that has happened in Tanoras a secret. And today he lives with the daily fear that someone could find out about his affair he has once in a year with that mortal man.

And little does he know that the man he's in love with is the advisor of his biological father - king Haakon...
