Senses
 I remember it all as if it were yesterday, my past with Wester ended tragically for the two of us. We were both from different classes, forbidden to mingle with one another, but unable to deny what we felt and for that we paid with our lives. Now decades later we are reborn to these new lives, given a second chance. I never thought I'd find him and yet here he is as Riese's own bodyguard. He's no longer a farm hand from long ago we are equals now. |
It was a few months after he started working for Riese that he finally awakened. At first he just knew me as what I was now. I knew about my past, but never imagined to find the man I'd been dreaming of for years to come walking through those doors. It wasn't as though I recognized him, it was more as though I sensed something more familiar to me, I was drawn to him.
I noticed changes in him a month or so later. For one thing, every time Riese headed out to the gardens I'd see him more at ease. He'd sneak a touch at the leaves here and there and knew the names of the various plants .
One day as I was making my way to the study, I heard voice's right around the corner. It was Wester and Scarborough talking to one another. It was this conversation that I started to really look at him more than just muscle.
I was curious as to what they were talking about so I stayed up against the wall. I hardly heard him speak but a few sentences once in a while. They'd been discussing the layout of the grounds, whether to add more hedges or expand on the maze, when Wester started mentioning how he'd always had a green thumb, next thing I know he's asking Scarborough his thoughts on past lives. As I stood there, surprised at the change in topic Mr. Stagg walks over to the two of them and asks Scarborough for some help.
As they stood up and went on their way, I turned the corner in such a hurry that I nearly walk into Wester. I was so embarrassed with myself that I headed straight up the stairs towards the study.
Training
 As you can see the two of us train together. Wester is teaching me how to defend myself and throw a punch correctly instead of breaking my thumbs. Gotta hand it to him, he's really patient with me. I'm grateful for that. |
