Sapphire was once an ordinary cream Sheeta. One day she chased a snow fox deep into the snow of the Polar ice fields. Hopelessly lost, shivering with cold and fear, she finally found a dark cave and scrambled inside. She curled up in the back, her breath coming in bursts of icy mist, the water on her cream fur turning to icicles. Huge stalactites of crystalline ice hung from the ceiling and Sapphire, cold and hungry wished she was safely back home. Soon thirst got the better of her and cautiously exploring the dim cave she came upon a pool of clear, cold water. She quickly gulped some down and then for later, she filled the only thing she had - an empty Prism bottle which was a gift from a friend. Returning to her resting place she slept for a while then awoke feeling terribly cold. She took a few sips from the bottled ice water and slept again. When she awoke the first thing she noticed was that she no longer felt cold! Although it was snowing outside the cave and a fierce wind was blowing - she felt warm! Hurrying outside into the light she saw that her fur was no longer cream but pure white with swirls of iceberg blue. Her feet didnt sink into the snow like before but seemed to skim over the surface. She began to run, the cold arctic wind caressing her face, her steps light and fast. She howled with exhileration. She was going home - safe and well and forever changed. She had survived the cold and she was a Sheeta reborn - daughter of Ice & Snow and Glacial frost.
