Which one?
Seygo looked at the display in front of her and sighed. She had enough to get only 2 of them, but which two did she want? The choices she had. It was times like this she knew how her older sister Sail felt... though Sail tended to agonize like this over everything, including what underwear to dress in for the day! Sey smiled a bit at her sister's obsession and continued to browse over her own.
This was her favourite shop. To the others it may just be a simple bakery, but to Sey it was a slice of heaven. She loved the smell of the goods baking... the homemade breads, the fresh pastries, and the mouthwatering pies. However her absolute favourite were the cookies. Any other child would take the cookies offered and devour them within seconds, but not Seygo... she'd stand holding the cookie to her nose and softly inhale the smell. Then after she'd had her fill of the scent, she would gently nibble at the cookie, slowly savouring the taste, letting it melt in her mouth and sigh in content. She always was like that, even when small and still did this even now.
The bakers there had known her ever since she was a toddler. Sometimes they had special cookies made just for her. Once the head baker even had a cookie with her name written on it in chocolate icing as a Luminaire gift! Seygo had actually held onto that cookie for almost a week before she finally ate it. At first she refused to eat it, saying it was far too pretty and that it was a wrench to destroy it. However after thinking it over she realized to have it spoil with no one to enjoy it at all would have been much worse than eating it, so she happily nibbled at it even though it had gotten quite stale. It was after that she decided to take a picture of all her favourite cookies and make a scrapbook of them to remember. Her siblings may tease her about her strange hobby, but they always made sure she had enough film and found new and interesting cookies just for her.
After another few minutes she finally made her choices. She opted for one that resembled a bright butterfly, and another that was a frosted snowflake. The baker's wife smiled warmly and wrapped up her cookies to go. As the woman handed her the package, Sey got a pleasant surprise... nestled on the top of the package was a double fudge chocolate chip cookie still warm from the oven! The lady winked and Sey thanked her with a large smile on her face. Sey then left the shop nibbling the fudge cookie, smiling in contentment.
