Name: unknown

Alias: Escade

Age: 18-22 those are the ages she uses since she never gives out her real one

Orientation: Straight

Occupation: a thief all the way up to assassin, and everything in between.

Personality: Before the uprising, Escade was a honest, reliable, dependent girl. She was always the one people came to when they needed help, and she would do as she was told. Though now, the old her is long gone. She swindles people out of money when she can, but its always the rich. People do come to her for help...though that is usually only when they need a job they cant get done themselves. She tends to come off cold now, and is independent, people can also still rely on her, but they have to take a big risk, since the honest girl is long gone.

Likes: the night, running, being alone, stealing from the rich
Dislikes: killing, despite the fact the pay is good, she doesnt find it fun at all (unlike other assassins she knows), the day, obviously rich people, liars...even though she is one.

Story

Everyone could feel the tension between the upper and lower class. The middle class coasted along peacefully while there was such great tension between upper and lower class, specifically because the upper class had control over much of the government. They made the laws, the taxes, the rules for everyone to obey. Each time a new law was introduced it would seemingly benefit the rich and take from the poor. Eventually the people had enough, something had to be done. With the poor fearing for their homes a rebellion was created and a struggle for power ensued.

The struggle for the lower class to obtain power was not an easy one. They had to use all of their cunning and will to rise up against the government and overthrow their political leaders, the tyrants who sought to oppress them. The Uprising lasted for nearly six months, but at long last the group of rebels had finally managed to take control.

What happened when the rebels took control nobody could have suspected. When put in a position of power those who were once the pauper began to treat the former upper class like dogs. Rules were enforced to humiliate the people whom had made life difficult for so many years. This new government, led by the rebels was just as corrupt as the last. There was one thing that fueled their fire more than money however, and that was revenge.

To humiliate the former upper class very specific rules were set in place, and should they not be obeyed were either met with a fine or jail time. When an upper class citizen entered the room a middle class member may not speak unless spoken to, must bow upon being faced with someone of higher stature, and last but not least must wear a red ribbon tied around their arm to establish that they were from the lowest class of them all.

Not all who were born into riches and power were snobbish, corrupt. Before the rebellion occurred and the Uprising completed Escade was not hard off. Her family was not one of many riches but they lived well, enough to be placed into the upper class category. She was a kind girl who took the time to help others and be a shoulder to lean on. A reliable individual who did her best to help others not because it was a duty of hers but because she wanted to. That girl was long since gone after the rebellion hit.

Torn from her home and left with nothing Escade was forced to grow up fast. Shed been well on her way to becoming a young woman before the uprising but having everything taken away from her and being labelled as dirt poor made her realize that it was the survival of the fittest. One of the biggest lessons she learnt from all of this was to trust no one, and that she must hone in on her instincts in order to stay alive.

Learning the ways of a thief to get by the girl slowly began to slip into the more darker aspects of the profession. Thieving turned into kidnapping and then kidnapping turned to murder. Quick on her feet she learnt the ways of the assassin by trial and error, nearly getting herself killed multiple times. Her profession was dangerous, but the pay helped her stay alive and put food on the table.

Throughout all of her endeavors Escade has managed to survive with her instincts. The clock is constantly ticking however and now that her actions are more well known due to a recent slip up on a previous job she is wanted. Wanted for stealing from the rich, murdering those who have a bounty on their heads and she is ever watchful. Killing is not something that the woman enjoys doing, but the cold hard truth is that is where the money lies. Each and every contract she takes for an assassination is always carefully looked over, thought of before she chooses to accept it.

Money drives her to end the lives of others while her heart yearns for some sort of peace treaty. Enough of treating one another like animals, admit that there is something wrong and try to fix it, not make people all the more bitter and oppressed. Escade does what she can to help others, though she hardly ever does simply because she wants to anymore. It has become a you scratch my back, I scratch yours kind of world and she has grown to accept it.

The woman may have lost her innocence but that does not mean deep within her soul she wants to live in a world so tainted. If the classes could come to terms with one another she would be content. Often times the woman finds herself telling lies despite her loathing for those that do, but in the world she lives in sometimes it is best to keep the truth well hidden. The truth can hinder and debilitate you in the world she lives in, and to let others know who you truly are is more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine.

She runs from the law and hides during the day. Shadows have become the womans best friend and she keeps well to stick within her element. Daylight is a foe for it takes away all of the shadows, and leaves her exposed in a world where it is not difficult to tell who is poorer than the rest. Still Escade lives on, making her mark on the world and silently wondering to herself when all of the bloodshed will stop.
