While the dark is deep,
Sometimes we try to peek,
And move quickly with a creak.
It is obvious what we seek,
Some scraps of meat from about last week,
Something to chew on, maybe some to lick,
Someone gave out a squeak,
Humans are back, off we go quick.
Wuzzy (the rat) passed away December 17, 2014. He is greatly missed.
