Soup

One of the oldest and most widely used ways to prepare food. It is thought that soup began around 20,000 BCE when clay pots were becoming more popular. It's speculated that it was the Neanderthals who boiled bones for the nutrients and essential fats in their diet. Soup has been found from the Giza plateau in Egypt to Shaanxi province in China.

Good soup is one of the prime ingredients of good living. For soup can do more to lift the spirits and stimulate the appetite than any other one dish.
