The Masterpiece

Gypso taped her final masterpiece to her wall. She grabbed her paintbrush and started a new painting. Her wall was covered with paintings. Bright colors and globs across brilliant parchments. She painted almost everything. Breathtaking sunsets, memories and moments from her past. Anything to keep her busy. Anything to do while she was locked away in her room.

She scissored out newspaper clippings and pasted them onto her wall. Pictures overlapped other pictures, until the boring, white plaster could no longer be seen. The picture she had made today was of 'precious dreams'. It was a dream of leaving the horrible place in which she lived, where she wouldn't be trapped in her room all the time. Where she could feel actual love again. Where she could feel free again. Where she could have friends.

Sketch landed on her open windowsill on the top floor. The little heej flew in and landed on the tip of Gypsos tail. Gypso lifted Sketch up to the wall to look at the new addition to her gallery. "Some day, Sketch. Some day."
