TV shows are life. They kept me company when I was a lonely only child growing up, they were my teachers during my teen years. They were my friends and inspiration every week. The race to grab a drink or visit the bathroom during commercial breaks. Running back when "It's back on!" is yelled. Bounding over the chair so you don't miss any of it. I even named my pup from the Magic Roundabout.

Things change and now places like Netflix or owning DVDs mean I can watch whatever I want whenever I want. I can binge watch 5 episodes (or more) in a day. They blur together then! But it's still amazing to be in this world where I'm the only one safe. Where I can watch their lives progress. Some shows have run during my entire life! There's something comforting in that, in this world where nothing lasts.
