Being born as a member of the snow tribe in the cold and lonely vast of Ytiva was a bitter fate. It was even worse when you had absolutely nothing in common with the other Antlephores.
Stormborn never felt like he belonged to the place he and Arla, his mother, called home. When he listened for his inner voice it told him there was supposed to be more in his life than snow and ice. His mother felt his discontent, but yet she waited and watched, hoping for her son to find his purpose in life. Only until the day she died she felt the need to tell Stormborn about his father.
He was a Storm Neela from the desert tribe of Saherimos. They met one day when Arla got caught in a blizzard. She sought shelter in a cave and there he was. They hid there for two days and nights. On the morning of the third day Arla woke up and the blizzard was gone and so was the Neela. She never saw him again, but a few months later her baby was born in a dark night when a new snowstorm arrived.
The tale about his father in mind, Stormborn left the tribe after his mother's death. There was nothing to keep him there anymore. He turned east and went on, looking for his roots and his father.
