My story...

The sun was shining brightly on her dazzling skin. The wind blowing in her luscious hair. Her name was Yumi, she was taking a leisurely stroll through the park. She has been taking these walks since she was a little girl. Today was different from her other walks though. As she passed by a forest beside the park, Yumi noticed a feli laying on the ground crying... She was curious as to what was wrong but she did not wish to startle the poor creature. After carefully thinking it through, Yumi decided to aproach the creature quietly and slowly. As she has gotten closer to the wild feli Yumi noticed that this feli has injured her leg. Out of sympathy she softly picked up the injured feli and brought her home to nurse it back to health....

When she arrived home she named the frightened feli Emi after her oldest friend. Three weeks later Emi has fully recovered from her injury. As pleased as Yumi was, she was devistated knowing that Emi would have to return to the wild since she was a wild animal. The following morning Yumi has returned to the spot where she has found Emi and set her free...

Crying as Yumi walked home, Emi started following her. Once home Yumi was russling her keys to unlock the door, Emi caught up and started brushing up to her leg. Confused as Yumi was that Emi has returned she turned to her and said "You're free now Emi, you can go and be with you family". After looking at Emi for a bit she saw that Emi was depressed making her realize that she has no family.

For years Yumi and Emi were the best of friends, they did everything together. They were always making the best of their time by being with each other and having fun in the process.

Although, just a few week later Yumi has found a boy she liked. She started spending all her time with that boy not realizing that Emi started feeling left out. A month after Yumi has met that boy, she couldnt find Emi anywhere. She ran outside the house looking all over for her, constantly calling out for Emi. Now tired, Yumi sat down on the curb to catch her breathe. Off in the distance she heard noises from what she beleived to be Emi. Going to investigate, a homeless Kumos walks out infront of Yumi and starts to growl.

The Kumos leaps toward Yumi and then suddenly something comes out from the side and intercepts it, it was Emi! Paralized from fear, Yumi watched as Emi fought the Kumos to protect her. Several minutes have passed, then the fight was over. The kumos struggled as it ran off in fear. Emi on the other hand, was severly wounded. Yumi, now able to move, keeled down nest to emi and picked her up. She started crying as she tried to rush to the hospital, but they did not accept animals and there was no vet around.

Yumi thanked her closest friend as all she could do was watch as her life slowly began to wither.

After Emi has passed, Yumi suddenly remembered stories of an old oracle that could perform miracles on the other side of the world. Desperate not to lose her friend she has traveled long and far in order to search for such a person. It's been 2 years, but Yumi has finally found her! After explaining to the oracle that Emi gave her life to save her, the oracle has supplied Yumi with a flask with some strange liquid in it. The oracle said "This is a rare potion, it has the power of the pheonix in it. If you were to give this to your friend they shall be reborn. There is though... a side effect. She will be engulfed in flame but with time she may learn to tame the flames so that she wont burn you." Yumi took a good look at the potion, it was labled "reborn". She was so greatfull that Yumi has given the oracle everything she had with her except the clothes on her back as payment for the potion. Quickly Yumi ran home and gave Emi the potion.

All the lights went out and Emi began to glow. She started to hover in mid-air and then a blinding light suddenly appeared. When the light has started to fade Yumi opened her eyes curious as to what happened. Yumi looks back at Emi, and all she could see was flames. The lights suddenly turn back on and the fire dies down.

Emi was alive...

...and jumps on Yumi to lick her face. Happy, Yumi ran to the kitchen and prepaired Emi's favourite dish. It's been like earlier, before all this had happened.

... Just now whenever Yumi gets in trouble, Emi has the power to manipulate flames to protect her.
