It is unknown just how Azraele came to fall as an angel and rose to becoming one of the darkest threats known.
A few hundred years ago he was defeated by a young angel of light, his soul sealed away so that he could never follow through with his threat to plunge the world into darkness.
However due to his level in power, the seal binding him has slowly been weakening.....
His essence has been slipping through and corrupting those he can reach out to.

His will is carried out by the dark sage Mikoyose.
The corrupted sorceress Izayoi exists solely to carry out the will of her sealed master and one day aide in his unsealing.
He is also served by the dark assassian Sebastian who protects Izayoi under Azraele's command.
