Halloweeny
An adjective
It means to look halloween-like.
Hal was concentrating hard on his current customer's issues as the little bell above his shop's door rang as it was pushed open. "One final stitch Dill stay still; I'll be with you in a moment!" he piped up from his table. "Ah there, we go, you're all set!" He pulled his thread through and tied it off. When he opened the shop earlier, this Dillema's stuffing was falling out as his seams gave way. You see, Hal wasn't just an ordinary tailor. He specialized in Graveyard creature repairs. With Halloween around the corner, his shop was buzzing as these citizens came from all over to get ready for their favorite holiday of the year... Morostide!
When Hal was little, his mother was a seamstress and he wanted to grow up and run the family business. Except.. he didn't want to fix clothing and furniture all day. That part really bored him and he just didn't want anything to do with it. One night as he was walking around trying to clear his head after a long day at the shop, a car came out of nowhere and ran him over! Luckily a citizen from Shadowglen happened upon him and took him home to "fix" him. With a small stitch here and there, some glue, and even a little perfume Hal was put back together again. While he would never look the same, he was made anew and spent his time under an apprenticeship of his new found friend.
The Underground received a bad wrap from the warm ones. They would call his beloved home dingy and dark. But Hal thought it was warm and cozy! Honestly was no different than above ground. Just.. different... different clothing, toys and food needs. Different shops and shop keepers. Just different, but Hal loved his new found home and these "creatures" were his customers, friends and colleagues. With Morostide and grunge becoming hip and popular above ground even the warm ones were coming down here to receive repair and replacement! (What they didn't know was.. Hal was charging them a little extra for his services. Hah.. suckers) When Hal's faithful business companion retired, Hal inherited his friend's book of business. Now he continues to serve the good citizens of the below with one stitch, staple, and dab of glue at a time. (and the warm ones.. but god they are so messy to work on!)
