Fashion: She's all around punkette, and half-girly - like she's showing off her tough exterior and letting people take a peek at her inner girly girl. She often wears traditional clothing for her parents, but in her heart, and when she's on her own, she wears precisely what she wants. She's forest colors, stone and steel, with the good solid brown of the earth.

Demeanour

Personality: Toph is tough. She's strong, and skilled, and has a chip on her shoulder a mile wide. However, inside, she's squishy and soft-hearted, with a keen insight into the hearts of those around her.

In defense of her own unfortunate predicament, she's learned how to skive and skitter around the edge of the law; she takes advantage of people to get what she needs. And the ones being scammed are usually especially deserving of such treatment. Toph is honorable to those who deserve honor. It's how she rolls.

Background: Toph was born to a rich government official and a trophy wife with a kind heart. She had everything she ever wanted, and was never in need of anything. Her parents were very indulgent.

And very protective. Toph was born blind, and was thusly treated like a small porcelain doll. Of course, she hated it extremely, and insisted on taking fighting lessons from her rather slimy and opportunistic martial arts teacher.

Toph, despite her disability, gained new heights in the sphere of underground fighting, and street fighting (and dancing, but that only happened once). Her teacher, and her parents, knew nothing. Toph considered telling them, but an act of betrayal on the part of her teacher, and her parents' reluctance to believe her story, made her run away from home.

Now she travels alone, making money from her fights, and her...special ability. Toph misses her family, and seeks redemption - as well as revenge. But she's afraid go up against her teacher, and all of those he represents.
