Like many other Glade pets, I have a strong connection with nature, but I feel the closest to smaller life forms... flowers, ferns, ivy, moss, grasses, and so on. More than any of the plants, I feel strongly for insects... butterflies, moths, and sphinx moths (the order Lepidoptera) being my specialty.

So, I have made it my duty to care for these fragile creatures. If I find one with a broken, ripped, or missing wing, I take them into my care. I replace their broken wings with the wings of butterflies or moths that have perished, either from age or other unfortunate circumstances. It is a delicate business, but more rewarding than any other I have ever known.

I do this because the butterflies are dying, and without them, nature is not complete. Without butterflies (and other lepidopterans), the flowers will die and the forest will fall. There are other insects that pollinate, but the order Lepidoptera is particularly special to me. Losing these species is a tragedy.

To help me, I have found an assistant. I stumbled upon Thistle after her starving herd was forced to abandon her. She is rather small for a Floraffe (because of lack of nutrition as a calf), but this is is only to her advantage. She has become an expert at finding the smallest moths that would otherwise remain hidden against the bark of trees, all because of her attention to the most minuscule of details. She has aided me in the discovery of hundreds of new species. To me, she is priceless.
