details:
*Youngest of Seven
*Seer who dances in deserts
*Loves her brothers
She was the seventh daughter born of the seventh generation of daughters from the original Pharaohs bloodlines. Her birth was not blessed with celebration like her other six siblings, all brothers, were. The graceful Queen who bore them all could only hold her quiet newborn daughter and state her name before passing on to greet the Gods. The tiny baby girl in her arms, upon her last breath, began to cry, loud and strong, to the world. It was her only call of announcement that she had arrived.

The young Princess was raised through her childhood years by a female slave acting as her nursemaid and her six, very protective brothers. She bore such a strong resemblance to the late Queen that the Pharaoh wanted nothing to do with her until she was older, still mourning his tragic loss. She received no favors from him, no smiles or words of encouragement which saddened her during the times that he would bless her brothers. The Oracle had also spoken upon the day of her birth, stating that her talents would take seven years to take shape, a thought that worried the King because he had gone through the same secrets with his wife. Sar'ha, despite her bright and sweet personality, gradually became invisible to her father but loved by all the court and given more gifts and respect and than her elder brothers, which began gossip and rumors among the people that she was not really a royal child at all, but a changeling or a trickster.

Maybe it was because her brothers were all tall and strong, the eldest-born seventeen years of age and the youngest only ten. Her brothers, with their dark tan skin and calloused fingers and feet from playing and running in the bright sun and hot sands, looked like they were most definitely of the royal lineage, with features that could be found upon both their parents. Sar'ha, on the other hand, appeared more like her mother than her father. She carried his hair--rich, dark ebony waves that fell now to her shoulder-blades, for she was four and it was still growing--but her skin never tanned or burned. It remained a creamy color, pale and bright against the darker hues of her brother's skin. Where her brother's eyes were either green-gold, hazel or brown hers were an amber shade, always bright and wide-eyed with childlike innocence.

Maybe, even more so than her appearance, were her extraordinary abilities, which began appearing after her fourth birthday; Her love of reading and her seemingly innate ability to work with various animals. If she wasn't in study she could be found in the stables or the aviary, chattering away to the birds or playing fetch with the hunting hounds. Suspicious as the city-folk were of the youngest princess her brothers found her to be almost flawless, and loved her no matter what. When she grew stressed over the hurtful things they would say to her they distracted her with letting her show them her favorite crown or her shiny gems. One time the brothers captured a beautiful bird with snow-white feathers on their Travels, which she affectionately named Yur'iu and was never seen without. Sar'ha collected books about mythology and lore, and loved not only the trinkets and presents her brothers would bring but also the kinds of gems with seven colors to be seen in them, or if the brothers traveled and brought back colored marbles she had to have one of each color. To her, it represented all of them, how close they were together.

Her siblings would say she began changing after her sixth birthday, and it started, initially, with Sar'ha.. The eldest sibling recalled the black marks appearing on his sisters hands and feet being upon his mother as well, and he took care to warn his brothers to watch for their sister's safety over the next few months. It rained during that year, much more than the usual period of time in harvest, and as the marks grew so too did the prosperity of their kingdom. The crops flourished, trade increased, and the city-folk began wondering what was happening, if they had been blessed by the gods. It was the day before her seventh birthday the day the skies opened up and thunder boomed across the land, lightning striking the sands and causing no harm. It was when the moon was high in the skies that midnight, the clouds clearing around dinnertime to let the gentle white light and brilliant stars light up the skies, that the magic in the young Princess awakened.

Smooth skin became soft cream fur, an underbelly of grey blending in with the rest of her. White circles like stars or spots appeared upon the fur, and long fox-like ears, black as her now waist-length hair had been, sprouted from her head. Panicked upon waking up, the princess had bolted out of the palace, turning what would have been a joyous morning into abrupt chaos as guards followed in pursuit. They were trying to capture this interesting, wonderful creature which, from what they could see, was a rare coloration of Jollin to give to the Princess for her birthday without even knowing the quarry was her! She fled into the cave of the Oracle, collapsing at the veiled woman's feet with a heavy sigh, side heaving up and down as she panted and tried to let the adrenaline rushing through her veins calm down. She felt hands touching her head, cupping her cheeks, the aroma of the cave--sweet-smelling smoke and wildflowers--slowly lulling her into sleep.

Her brothers had followed the guards, worried about their sister. To their surprise they found her when they all entered the cave of the Oracle and not the Jollin the guards were seeking. The Oracle was sitting down on her stool, veiled head tilted down towards the child whose head was in her lap, breathing calmer and like she was sleeping. That was when her brothers noticed the glimmering swirls upon the girl's skin from the fire. They realized that those markings were that of the Blessed Ones; Shifters of Shapes who, once marked, could change between forms at will. As they were a desert nation, the agile and witty Jollin was the most obvious form to choose. Thanking the Oracle for her safety, the brothers carried their sleeping sister back to the palace, where once she awoke the celebration of a lifetime would begin.

In the year that followed Sar'ha didn't seem to age. The people once wary of her revered her as a Goddess Incarnate, her father finally giving her the attention that she desired from him for so long. Because she wasn't technically in line for the throne, and her value to their kingdom was so great that her Father never wanted her to marry (with encouragement from her brothers, who would have murdered the man who would have abused the skills and character and honor of their sibling), Sar'ha had free reign to do whatever she pleased. She could be found talking and caring for the birds in the aviary, like she had done many times before, but on nights when the moon was full and bright the city-folk would say they'd see a pale cream Jollin with markings that glittered and shone like gold yipping and dancing in the desert sands to the light of the moon and stars, blessing their city and the ones who would follow after. To see her now, they'd say, would be a blessing, not a curse--a gift of good fortune for the hard times, a chance of hope and light for the years to come.
