Sir Gwaine found himself in the tavern. Armed with barely any sense of anything apart from a decent amount of ale and whiskey. He had been travelling around for what seemed a long time. Gwaine smiled, when he saw the tavern in the woods. If only he'd known what would unfold there. Gwaine entered the tavern and started his usual rounds of drinking. Ale, more ale, then a few more. Fights always started when he was around. Admittedly, he liked to start fights and trouble usually found him, or he found it.

Sir Gwaine in the t.v series Merlin is a bit of a loner, a bit of a vagabond at the start. He travels from tavern to tavern, and gets in fights and gambles, but deep down he is a good person. He has a unique fighting style and a unique strength. Sir Gwaine is the STRENGTH of Courage, Strength and Magic, 3 parts that make up a whole during the quest.

Sir Gwaine is an accomplished fighter, with swords and whatever he can get his hands on. Bar stools, ale, such a waste. In the series BBC Merlin, Sir Gwaine is loyal and noble, though he can be a bit lazy. He's a bit of a loner, at first but he proves his worth later on. Gwaine is brave and will protect the king and his friends until his last breath.
