Love is the Fire of Life; it either consumes or purifies

My life was over as soon as it had started. Well, that's what it felt like to me anyway. How was I supposed to know that the one being I entrusted my very heart to would betray me in the end? I guess that's always how it ends. She played me like a puppet, while the only thing that I could do was believe her lies and do her dirty work.
I was always the strong one in my family. I had to be though, because I was the oldest of five siblings. Our parents were never there for us, so I took up the responsibility of caring for my younger brothers and sisters. By the time I was an adult, I'd had enough of it. So I left, simple as that. I lived on the streets for a while. Each day was a new adventure- a new hardship. It was tough, living day by day. I never knew where I would stay the night, or even if I would get a decent meal. I survived like that for a few months before I met her. At the time she seemed like an angel; golden hair, innocent blue eyes, fair skin. Needless to say she had my heart right off the bat.
I will never let my mind dwell over the horrible things that witch made me do. I would rather die...but enough about that. My life may be over, but now I am a whole new person. One that doesn't have blood stained on his hands. I still have nightmares of my past life, but now that I've met Lavi, those don't scare me anymore. Lavi doesn't care who I used to be, or how many lives I stole. It's a relief to have something to look after. I found him half dead on the side of the road. After seeing so many die by my hands, I couldn't just leave him there. After nursing him back to health, he decided to accompany me on my travels. I definitely couldn't refuse, and I'm glad I didn't.
I've traveled to many different places. More than I can count. But I will never stop. I don't need a home- because the world is my home.
Now I write. I enjoy creating magical lands and mythical creatures with my words. It's better than leaving a trail of death behind me. I sell my stories in the towns I visit. I only make enough to live day by day, but that's the way I like it.
