Never let it be said that Gatekeepers were gentle or kind--they weren't.
Having once been a tigrean like any other, she ended up injured when she wandered too near to the Gatekeepers, then was found and healed by a human. She had always been a little odd amongst her kind, but all they particularly cared about was her ability to survive, and up to that point, she had proven it.
Yet, the human was a strange one and took her away from the land she had known, only to be 'blessed' by winged-humans-of-a-sort. It had felt strange, but when she had woken, she felt so much better than she had.
And rather than craving meat, she apparently now had cravings for candies and pastries. Of course, she could still eat meat and it was acceptable as food, but--she couldn't deny her new-found sweet tooth.
Now if only she didn't look like a constellation, no longer bearing the wings and horns in her markings...
